Awful company, STAY AWAY. Pre-ordered GPU on launch day, got told to wait two WHOLE months for it then after waiting what feels like ages it got pushed back by another month. Never using again.

Title: Awful Experience – Avoid at All Costs ! I had the most frustrating experience with Scan Computers. The service is absolutely dreadful. I paid a large sum for an item that was delivered incorrectly, and when I tried to return it, they refused, making baseless excuses. Their customer service is horrendous and unhelpful. They take no responsibility for their mistakes and seem completely uninterested in resolving issues. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. Terrible service, terrible experience.

Scan refused to honour the warranty on my CPU which has failed and have left me without a working PC which I need for work. I am devastated.

Did not honour warranty for a pre existing fault. If you notice pre existing fault, do not accept a repair, ask for a new product, as they will not honour after return window

Received a faulty motherboard, after a few days of troubleshooting it with Scan support staff, it was returned. Was told that the motherboard on return is now physically damaged (I assume in transit by DPD, the return courier). Basically told nothing they can do and I'd be £300 out of pocket. So an faulty item has been further physically damaged by the courier but they’re accepting no responsibility. An appalling experience and disgraceful customer service - apparently scan are not the company they used to be. I am now in the process of rectifying this via payment provider dispute and, if necessary, small claims. A truly galling experience and not one i intend to back down on. I'll update the review if they do the right thing but am not holding out much hope

DO not buy from scan. I bought a motherboard from them and it came faulty and they have still not given me a review. This happens to a lot of people, do not risk buying computer components from them.

This means that whilst we cannot cover a refund (as per the terms and conditions of the SCAN Protect policy), we can provide you with a brand new replacement which has been issued today and is set to arrive with you tomorrow. It took me three months to get full refund for faulty ASUS laptop I bought from Scam Computers in July 2023 (invoice 00E5307312) which I returned in person within 14 days of purchase. All of sudden on 17th of January 2024 the whole £1842.97 was taken from my bank account! Contacted Halifax bank a week later and was told that Scam Computers presented "a proof". I asked “What proof is that and can I see it"? but bank refused to provide me any details. Also Scam Computers buying used components from eBay and selling them as a new if they don't have them in stock. I paid £307 VAT on that purchase but everything was stolen from me, not even VAT was refunded. That's how Scam makes £100m+ in profits: by robbing customers and reselling used components. Obviously banks will protect such valued £100M customers at any cost.

Contacted scan computers after failed attempt at a warranty repair on a laptop that was faulty from new, I did not think it was appropriate to buy a new laptop and have it be faulty out of the box, having sent in for repair and the laptop come back with the same issue and worse, I contacted scan explaining the situation. I said I contacted ASUS when the laptop came back from the first repair and it still had the issue and they wanted me to send it back again for another “repair, explaining I could not due this due to not being able ti go without a laptop for that long due to work with no guarantee of a fix. I got the attached image as a patronising response. With zero attempt to solve the issue or acknowledge the situation which I had explained in full. Completely unprofessional. And apparently they do not care if they sell you faulty goods.

Made an order with Scan UK on the 30th Jan 2023 as all but one item was in stock, but they were receiving stock the next day. I was given a estimated despatch date of 31st Jan and received an invoice saying they took payment. I then received an email stating one item was delayed so it would be the 28th Febuary. I contacted Scan customer service to see if they could send the parts that were in stock but they just said they couldn't, but suggested they could remove the delayed item however I would lose my place in the queue. The queue that they failed to mention on their product page. I thought I could wait a few weeks until I received another delayed notification saying 15th March. I contacted customer service again mentioning they have my money and I have nothing, is it just going to be delay after delay but again they reasured me and gave me excuses. I asked them to remove the in stock items from my order so I could raise another order myself seeing as they couldn't do it, thus keeping my place in the queue for the delayed item. I ordered the parts and they came the next day, quick, fast and good service apart from the delivery driver leaving high value items on my door stop and not getting a signature as I was told would happen. I then found out that I won't recieve my refund until the delayed order has been despatched and completed, meaning I have been charged twice while they keep my money on hold, and when contacting customer service I was told "its the way their system works". No explanation or apology, I have tried to be polite and respectful but after receiving another delayed order notification for 25th March I think its taking the mick and wish I never ordered from them in the 1st place and won't be recommending them.

Extremely poor customer service, avoid Scan if you need to return an item. Amazon or CCL are far better. Scan may dispute your statutory rights under distance selling and claim your purchase is a business sale if your delivery address has a company name.

took gugabyte aorus drive back for garentee as it has 5 year garentee and the drive was running 1/3 speed they refusing warranty dont buy giagbyte esp form scan and furtehr reviews checked thatb there customer serivce is failing they have failed me as a customer and a sexperience it eng form breakfix all they way to server amnisframes and enterprise level they have failed me, i will be seekinmg adviuce and sueing tghem and freezxing there bank accounts , now turning into shady business

Ordered a laptop friday morning. Webside promised its arriving within 24hr. By the time i went through payment etc it became monday. Sunday i received email about delay of delivery. Called customer service monday morning and they said theres allocation issue (we all know what this is) and it will be with me tuesday. Of course hasnt arrived. Called customer service and been told exact same as a day before. So asked refund. Guess.... Its 3 to 5 days. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Ordered a high end computer from Scan Computers that delivered to the lobby of the building instead of your door, and within minutes stolen. Scan computers claim to have investigated with DPD company, and even though video security camera evidence were provided, claimed responsibility was with the customer. Taking currently legal actions

I ordered an Andoid TV box before Christmas as I had many house guests. The box from Scam arrived but did not work. I returned it fast and they acknowledged it was faulty. Unfortunately Christamas was vover by the time they dealt with the return. They, in their wisdom, did not ask me but sent me a relacement box. Bearin g in mind Christmas was over, my house guests had gone home and I had already stated that I wanted a refund. These jokers sent me a replacement Andoid box ! I received a text message from their courier DPD telling me what time to expect delivery of this redundant package. I texted Scam again and the delivery did not take place. I texted Scam asking when I could expect my refund only to be told that the unit that I had not ordered was being returned to them and no refund could be processed until their courier delivered their package back to them. I would really like to meet the diectors of this company on a golf course where I could really demonstrate my disgust at their company policy. RMA606145 is the RMA that reveals the full extent of their incompetence

scan.co.uk more like scam.co.uk, so i purchased pc on scan.co.uk, i spent 2099£ on my build, i waited over 2 months for my delivery and when i finaly got it i notice that gpu was missing (rtx 3080) so i contacted customer service immediately but they told me there is nothing they can do about this situation. avoid at all cost !

Experience was shockingly bad. Poor service. Changed their mind about giving me a price match refund after contacting their customer service. This was minutes later after being told i was legible, due to Amazon being considerably cheaper. I now have to return the order, and reorder it again when its cheaper at Scan, which will be in 2 days time anyway! What a joke. Instead of letting me keep the item which I only received yesterday, and refund me the difference now? Makes zero sense and they have an awful processing system in place if this is the only way. Would have saved a lot of hassle and retained a customer! It was cheaper on Amazon so I will not be using Scan for anything again if this is how they deal with customers. Absolutely ridiculous and would not recommend using this place.

These guys are the worst when coming to refunds. They have exchanged one faulty product, but when I have requested the replacement product to be refunded as it was faulty as well and failing just like the first product, they have said that the second product was damaged by me when they received it and refused to issue the refund. They were insisting on me to sign a return policy so they can return the product to the manufacturer, but saying that since the product is physically damaged, the manufacturer will most likely void the warranty. BUT THEY WERE INSISTING TO SEND THE PRODUCT TO THEM REGARDLESS. Makes no sense, right? They were claiming that are the best at customer service, but one of their managers (Amanda Savage) has been dealing with my query, quite frankly, in a savage way. At first they have issued blurry photos where you cannot see the PCI card, but only the metallic bracket being damaged. When questioned, they have issued again some photos, these time clearer than the first ones, but again the product and the serial number on the card not fully visible. Very dodgy! I have finally agreed with them to return the faulty product to me so I can investigate the damage, and I was shocked of what I've seen. The bracket seemed deliberately bent with a screwdriver or a long nose pliers in a very hard way. I will proceed with a full legal complaint against them and will FIGHT UNTIL I'LL GET MY MONEY BACK. I have purchased over the years more than £5,000 worth of components from them and have worked both full time and privately as PC builder and assembled over the years dozens of computers. NEVER DAMAGED NOT EVEN A SINGLE PART. Not even as a rookie. MY ADVICE: if you return a product to them, make a full video of how the product is packed, then boxed, and keep it aside just in case. I guarantee they will play this game with you too. My order number was 3532533953 and the return RMA number 594325 (just so they know this is a legitimate review with a legitimate complaint).
