I ordered the scaffolding curtain pole kit, 3metre uncut. The product arrived in good time and there is no problem with the pole, however, it is far heavier than anticipated and therefore not suitable to the room/wall I was plannig to fix it to. The returns policy states that the customer pays for return delivery - a quote with Parcel Force was going to cost +£50, almost matching the price of the product/original delivery. Customer adviser at Scaffolding Direct also quoted a returns delivery price that again is more than original delivery charge and more than is cost efficient for me to return. I am so disappointed, and wish this had been more clearer when purchasing the product, as I now have a product that I am unable to use and cannot return. What do I do?

Hi Stephen, Thank you for your review. I apologise that we were unable to fulfil your order on this occasion. The item you ordered was in our discontinued stock sale, and unfortunately another customer had placed an order for the last of this item the day before you had. Your order was placed on Saturday 12/10/19, and so it wasn’t until Tuesday 15/10/19 (we are closed on weekends) that we came to start picking the order, and it was found that the goods had ran out of stock. As soon as this was discovered we contacted you immediately and refunded you on the same day. Again, I apologise for any inconvenience caused by this. I was after some scaffolding fixings for quick delivery however 2 weeks later and I still have not received the parts. I have explained it was not us that signed for delivery and have been in communication via phone and email yet it is very slow for anything to happen on their end.

Hi Ricky, Thank you for your review. I apologise for the issues you have had with this delivery. I can see that the goods were shipped by us on 09/10/19, and were showing as delivered on Thursday 10/10/19. However we were not contacted by yourselves until Wednesday 16/10/19 to advise that they had not been received. As soon as that contact was made we contacted or courier to get a signed proof of delivery and GPS, which we in turn sent to you. You then advised us on Friday 18/10/19 that you were still unable to locate the goods. We therefore contacted the courier to see if they could get the driver to go back to the property. However, we had still not received a response from them as of midday on Monday 21/10/19, so we shipped out replacements for you. At the time of writing on Tuesday 22/10/19, they are still showing as being out for delivery on a van today. This should be sorted for you today. Unfortunately due to the nature of third party courier services, parcels can rarely go missing, and we do have to investigate this with the courier on a per job basis. Good service from Scaffolding Direct. DHL caused the problems I had with delivery. On line tracking stated delivery due between 16:11 & 17:11. No delivery at 1800 so checked status to see that DHL had stated “Delivered & signed for at 16:11” . Contacted Scaffolding Direct, who sorted it out with delivery next day. DHL appears to be untrustworthy.

Excellent products & customer service . They phoned twice to check on my delivery requests. I specified no bigger than a seven ton lorry to deliver which was mentioned in each phone call . The couriers however completely ignored this which was written on the delivery note & sent an 18 ton lorry !!

The products (timber, tanalised raised beds) are very good. Delivery was delayed for a few days due to volume of orders and the courier not collecting my order when scheduled. When I called Scaffolding Direct they were very good at handling my query. The courier was poor - my delivery was not to my home address and they don't seem to be able to contact their drivers once the delivery is in transit. I had to wait all day for the delivery to arrive.

I only needed a small order for a domestic project, great price and service combined with a superb carrier that happily dealt with a delivery nearly six metres long. I would definitely use them again.

Unfortunately after serval good orders this one was recieved in poor condition and all bent. Will think about using again very carefully.
