“I did soooo much research into wide fitting shoes (that didn't look awful) for a wedding that I was bridesmaid for just last week. I physically cannot wear a heel anymore, not even for 2 minutes so I was looking for beautiful, well made and comfortable flats. When I came across Sargasso & Grey I was so happy to see the beautiful range and styles and decided to make the investment into a pair of the Venetia in gold leather as I thought they would go with a lot of outfits and I would get a lot of wear out of them. I was pleased to see they offered half sizes as I would always be a 5.5 or 38.5 so this was what I ordered. Unfortunately when they arrived they were too big! Ordering from Ireland I had incurred pretty hefty customs taxes and charges so it was a lot of hassle to send them back to get the smaller size. The customer service at Sargasso is AMAZING! I cannot say enough to praise them and even with the hassle of returning and re-ordering it was overall a great experience. The size 5/38 arrived very promptly a few days later and they are a perfect fit. I would definitely advise that if you are unsure of the size or thinking of a half size to SIZE DOWN. Because the shoes are wider and more generous I think you need a slightly smaller size than usual. I wore them all day long for the wedding and they were SO COMFORTABLE and looked gorgeous. Really classy and I got lots of compliments. I know the shoes are expensive but think of them as an invesment. They are beautifully made and you can feel the quality instantly. If you mind them well these are the type of shoe you will have forever. Now that I know my size I will definitely be ordering more styles and basically just living in these shoes for my day-to-day work attire and going out. Thank you again Katie and all the team at Sargasso, I find it so hard to find nice shoes now so I hope your company keeps growing bigger and better and you keep adding lots of great new styles (especially flats!).”

“I just wanted to say a big thank you. I have not been able to wear heels for years as I have horrendous bunions and hammer toes. My grandson is getting married at the end of the month and I really wanted a smart pair of shoes that I could wear all day. You have found these for me in your Eve plain court, they are exactly what I have been looking for, I would just say that the sizing is generous I would normally have to go up a half size but these are perfect.”

“THANK YOU!! ❤️ I inherited hallux rigidus from my lovely late Mum, and as a consequence have been in shoe hell for the past FIVE YEARS - wide fitting low ankle boots or Hoka trainers is as good as it got, until now! “Perfect in so many ways. Wanted a pair of classic black heels to wear in the evenings and other occasions when you need black. How comfortable would a pointy toe be when you need a EEE fitting? Well I can tell you very comfortable. I also brought the tan loafers for summer everyday and took the advice to buy a size smaller. They are fine just a little tight at first but just wearing them around the house they have soften to my feet. Katie really takes care, sorts outs issues and communicates what is going on. The is a company to do business with as it cares for its customer. Styles are lovely, classic and will look very good for years.”

“I’ve found the best shoes ever, for my wide feet and I am about to get the green flats. It was depressing searching for comfortable shoes that looked nice aswell; then during the pandemic, when I couldn’t go out, I found S&G. I was worried about buying online but I took the plunge and after my first pair, I was ecstatic. All of the shoes, are first and foremost cooooomfortable and beautifully designed. The leathers are smooth and the contouring is like works of art. My tan slip ons (sliders) are on very on trend, my loafers are classic, my suede tie up flats are literally like gloves - wonderful. I love the colours particularly the new tan shoes, (I’ve purchased the tan courts - superb! S&G are simply the best shoes I have ever had and most importantly worn.”
