“I really wanted these cecily sandals to work because I struggle with finding comfortable shoes with a heel. They seemed ok when they arrived but after wearing these for one evening I developed a pain in one knee that is still lingering after 3 weeks. It must be something to do with the angle of the foot or the pressure on the joint. I will not be able to wear them ever again so they are an expensive waste . Such a let down after all the great reviews I’d read.”

Dear Mrs Nev I am sorry to learn that you developed pain in your knee whilst wearing the Cecily sandals. With an 8cm heel, they are the highest heels we make, and heels this high undoubtedly put additional pressure on the balls of the feet, as well as calves and knees. Whilst we do put memory foam padding in the insoles, the slim heel of this sandal also means that leg and core muscles need to work harder to maintain balance on such a slim heel base. We have recently introduced platform soles to some of our shoes so that additional height can be gained from the platform rather than the heel. These styles also have thicker heels which will help offer more stability. We hope these sandals will offer a more practical choice for customers looking for high heels. We do appreciate your feedback as this helps us to continue to improve our shoes and make them as comfortable as possible for all of our customers and I am sorry again that you experienced discomfort when wearing these heels. “Wore my shoes to my daughters wedding from 1100am until 1130pm - on my feet an awful long time and danced the night away. My feet never bothered me at all and I felt a million dollars in them.”

“I recently bought a pair of Helena heels, when they are first on they are comfortable and the width is great. However after a couple of hours working between meetings at work, the balls of my feet burn, there’s just not enough cushioning, the back of the shoe also doesn’t have enough depth, so although these are a perfect fit, they flip about. I have other styles which I love, but this particular style do not like my feet.”

“Beautiful shoes delivered very quickly. Perfect fit. However, due to the lack of room at the tip, my big toes were extremely tender after several hours. My big toes, especially, were very painful. This wasn’t helped by my slippery tights, which exacerbated the problem. Despite this experience, I would buy from you again, as the shoes are stunningly beautiful, and the delivery was so rapid.”

“I was pleasantly surprised. I have grey trainers they look so much better in real life they are super stylish and comfy. I love the little platform and extra hight. I especially love that the shoe sole is the same colour as the shoe. Fabulous. Sizing wise I’d say they are pretty spot on.”
