I am very disappointed at the service provided by safe contractor. We had our renewal recently and I agreed on receipt of renewal a payment date which was agreed and confirmed. Prior to this date I received a rather what I felt threatening email stating if I didn’t pay the renewal our membership would be terminated. This is the left not knowing what the right has agreed and I found this very unprofessional. I hope that this feed back is received as a training issue to some staff who write these sort of communications to long standing customers.

In light of the lengthy review / feedback timelines seen, this year and last, the process could benefit from release of assessment questionnaire sooner. 20 working days is noted as the maximum timeline for feedback to be provided. This year we called them on working day 20 as nothing heard. This means that if any further input is required (as has been the case), we have NO opportunity to obtain new Cert on our renewal date, causing difficulties.

Hi DAS FIRE LIMITED, Thank you for your feedback. We truly value the insights we receive from our customers, and in response to your feedback, we've made an improvement. Previously, you could submit the renewal questionnaire 30 days before your expiry date. Now, we've extended that window to 60 days before expiry, giving you an additional 30 days to complete the submission. We hope this change makes a positive difference as you prepare for next year! Best regards, SafeContractor

Another poor accreditation process - paid extra for improved turnaround as well - now refunded.

If I could give you minus stars I would. The process is a joke, and you literally make it so that everyone has to pay for your "premium" service otherwise you will not renew the accreditation before it expires due to the delibratly slow method used. You always find someting worng even if it has been aproved in the past. If irt wasn't for the fact that some cusotmers require this I would not use the service.

A bit of a nightmare from start to finish. Repeatedly asked for information I had already provided. Took over 2 months to complete. Our certificate ran out and our technicians were unable to work (for 20 days) on some sites without proof of the accreditaton. There was no sense of urgency at all, unlike previous years when the process went smoothly. No one seemed to care or acknowledge emails - only when they wanted information that had already been provided!

System very fustrating if we have said we have ISO45001 it should be accpeted we have proved we have health and safety policies etc etc Surely if you have these you should be able to skip questions. You aslo send submit submission before it was open ( one call) and did not seem to allow for the long christmas bank holiday in the apporval time or opening the submission earlier to allow sufficent daysbefore certificate expires (two calls to chase this)

very bureaucratic process, very stressful and and often pointless! some questions not relevant, but we have to answer them.

Over priced & under checked. I was forced into this process by a client. If, in the hugely unlikely event, I get more work as claimed by SafeContractor I will happily review my review

Process always seems to come down to the wire with timings, meaning that we cannot plan onsite works at companies that require safe contractor. This time it took multiple chases form us and companies that were looking to use our services to seem to get any movement on it. Only being able to submit 30 calendar days ahead of our renewal coupled with up to 20 working days for first review, then up to a further 5 working days for the auditor to review means that there is a large chance that the renewal process won’t be complete before current Safecontractor runs out. This is compounded with the time of year for our renewal, as safe contractor staff’s working days are unknown around Christmas and new years. It seems that there are not enough working days for even the first 20 working days pre audit to be completed before our accreditation runs out. Whilst this sounds like a lot of moaning about the situation the situation could easily be avoided by either having a quicker (standard) turn around time than 20 days on review of info submitted or by allowing companies to submit applications earlier than 30 calendar days ahead of renewal.

Time scale of review period forcing extra payments for a faster review! Tried to bring in other scope requirements which were not required. reviewed by different people from a discussion with yourselves. Portal shows actions required after passing the accreditation currently showing 85% compliant rather than indicating time period left before expiry and new evidence required unlike other SSiP portals. Unable to communicate with the reviewer for feedback

Good Afternoon Woodford Heating and Energy Ltd, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Positive or negative, we do always appreciate your feedback. Firstly I would like to say Congratulations on gaining your accreditation! Thank you for working with us to get this achieved. At SafeContractor we do operate a queue system owing to the volume of accounts we have to process. This is why we offer a variety of packages which are dependent on the needs of our contractors. Some offer assistance where others offer quicker response times. In terms of the scope, I believe there may have been some miscommunication from both parties regarding the work activities audited, as we will only accredit companies for works that they perform themselves and not those that subcontractors do on their behalf. Your portal shows a lower percentage after you gained accreditation because the questionnaire you are seeing is your renewal questionnaire for your next accreditation with SafeContractor. You can work on your questionnaire throughout the entire year and then submit 30 days before your account accreditation. Your last point around communication with your reviewer will be feedback to the relevant department to follow up with. Apologies if none of the above was communicated to you through your renewal process and within your time being a member of SafeContractor. As you are now accredited and have an active membership feel free to take advantage of some great member benefits, they can be found here - https://www.safecontractor.com/benefits/ Best Wishes, Rhys

I completed the annual questionnaire, and as usual, it was rejected becasue I haven't provided the right information, despite what I uploaded being what was asked for. then to add insult to injury, I wasn't notified for 6 weeks!! even then I had to chase Safecontractor.

Good Afternoon Beswick Refrigeration Services Ltd, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Positive or negative, we do always appreciate your feedback. Congratulations on gaining your accreditation! I am sorry to hear that in this instance you felt our service fell short of your expectations. At SafeContractor we do operate a queue system owing to the volume of accounts we have to process. We do offer a variety of packages dependent on the needs of our contractors. As your business is on the standard package the lead time for accreditation can apply, in regard to your application we do contact via telephone and email within the timeframe and I can see that contact was made from both ends and then resolved. I will certainly pass on your valued feedback to the relevant departments. In the meantime, in addition to your accreditation you can take also advantage of some great member benefits, they can be found here - https://www.safecontractor.com/benefits/ Best Wishes, Rhys
