Not that impressed unfortunately. Ordered a towel rail online and when I got the delivery ery, it was the wrong one, only to be told by customer services that it was discontinued - why after I purchased it then. It was still not taken off the website. The multi panel boards that I received were damaged on the Tongue and grooves joints. I usually fit pvc panels, which are wrapped up in protective cardboard, these ones just delivered without protection. I'm not impressed.

Good morning Jody, We're very sorry to hear about the issues with delivery and the design change on the towel rail. We were made aware of the design change from the manufacturer last week, after you had called regarding the order. Enquiries were made with their purchasing team to see if the older design was coming back in to stock. Once it was confirmed the product was no longer available on Monday morning, the listing was removed. We do hold several other sizes of that rail in stock here in our warehouse and they are still available to purchase online. In terms of the Multipanels, again we can only apologise here. They're delivered direct by Multipanel using specialised vehicles and staff that are trained specifically on handling the boards, hence the lack of waste packaging. This usually means we receive far less issues with damage on delivery but clearly not in your case. We appreciate the feedback and will do our best to make up any inconvenience up to you. I needed something in a hurry that wasn't available locally, so found this site offering next working day delivery if ordered before 2pm. This was backed up by the checkout page showing I was paying for "DPD/ParcelForce", both of which are next day couriers, so I placed the order. However, it was actually sent by Royal Mail 1st class, a service that only "aims" to deliver next working day. Indeed, my order placed on a Friday morning that should have come Monday didn't arrive until Tuesday. I contacted support who apologised and confirmed it was sent Friday afternoon, but I find it very misleading to advertise and sell a next day courier service but then use a different option that can't promise the same level of service.

We can see you placed your order with us 11am Friday morning and it was dispatched from our team within 2 hours using a tracked next-day service. Links were provided so you could monitor your item in transit also. We use several next-day courier services to fulfil deliveries on our part depending on the day of the week and time of day too. This is to help minimise delivery windows for all our valued customers. Thankfully most arrive within the expected ETAs and we can only apologise you never had the normal Rubberduck experience. Good morning Alan, We're sorry to hear you feel the service could be improved. Looking at the order details, we can see the glass channel is stocked in our warehouse. We were waiting on a stock order to come in to us before we could dispatch to you. When you called, we found the stock order had not come in to us as expected. Rather than wait longer for them to come in, we decided to have the manufacturer send the item directly to you to help minimise the delivery window. The item arrived a day later than the ETA provided. Sending small items direct comes at an extra cost to us but we did so to ensure a better service to our valued customers. High prices and need to improve on your return contracts. Wasn't happy for unused product returns. I had to arrange my return was disappointing.

We also offer free and tracked deliveries where possible. The policy regarding returns is both UK and industry standard. It's difficult for small companies to offer a free collection and returns service for customers who purchase an item in error or decide to choose another option after purchasing. It’s so sad that your business is let down by the delivery company you use. When you look at your delivery policy ref damages it is clear that you are fully aware of how bad they are. I had a delivery of ceiling cladding directly to a customer who due to their age wasn’t able to unpack every piece of panelling and check it; plus what delivery driver is going to stand there for twenty minutes while someone tries to take all the wrapping off. When I got to the job the cladding packaging looked fine all wrapped in black plastic, I took this off and still the packaging looked fine; I took this off which included all the cardboard edge protection only to find that every single board was damaged along the edging. Having no time to reorder and due to your damage policy it was pointless even complaining. It all went in the skip and I sourced a local supplier. Customers please be aware your delivery is likely to be damaged and Rubberduck will know that.

Product was good quality. Unfortunately the 2 packs I ordered were damaged on one edge abut 600mm from the end. Luckily with some careful measuring and some silicone I managed complete my project.

Typically we rarely see damages reported on the products we send out. We are aware however that, during times of increased demand on courier networks, damages do occur a little more often. Customer service has previously been good, but on this occasion, delivery failed to turn up on 2 occasions and when i contacted customer service for a second time they were unfriendly and unhelpful. Probably won't use again.

It is difficult for me to give a balanced review as although we had a prompt delivery of - from memory - 11 bathroom suites once we had problems things started to go wrong. Almost exactly a year ago the first toilet we installed had a faulty cistern. We reported this and two further cisterns that were faulty to an extent that we had to prop the float valves with a piece of wood to allow them to work. The final suite was installed in September and we had to use the first faulty cistern as we did not have an alternative - this has caused immense problems with dissatified guests unable to flush on occasions After much nagging by us and by you to Kartell we had 3 cisterns delivered 3 weeks ago. The first of these was fitted yesterday so this review is opportune. The plumber found that the diameter of the connection of the water supply to the incoming main was smaller than the diameter of the one that he was changing. To change properly would mean ripping out tiling which hides the connection or finding an adapterto increase the diameter. While that is being resolved - can Kartell/Vitra supply an assembly with the same diameter of the original? - he has fitted the old float assembly to the new cistern. This may or may not last as the pipe has been bent by the insertion of the piece of wood to get it to work previously.

As you mentioned the 11 suites were originally fulfilled promptly and without issue however issues occurred when looking to replace/fix an existing installation. 3 New cisterns were supplied to resolve the matter however, we we're not made aware of a change in the products supplied until reading your comments above. The Neptune wall/ceiling panels are ok quality but prone to damage easily. Final effect is good. Don't be tempted to finish off with the coving though. In spite of the video showing that this can be fitted with one hand this is impossible to do when you are at the top of a ladder and trying to manage a long strip. I eventually threw it away and fitted some standard ceiling coving.

We've supplied the ceiling panels and coving strips for a number of years now and we've found the feedback in relation to fitting them to be quite positive from both professional tradesmen and DIYers alike. As with any malleable material of a certain length, you would need to support the profile on both ends when looking to clip on the decorative side. The video displayed, while dated, simply shows the method of fixing and gives an idea of how the finished article could look. We was left without a kitchen for 3 weeks due to the tap taking this long to be delivered. I took two seperate days off work as this item needed to be signed for upon delivery and despite being promised delivery it never arrived, until the third promised date. Rubberduck is the “middle man” and communication from them was good until i asked for compensation from either them or the supplier, I received no further reply. 2 stars for the initial communication.

Hi Kanijah, We're very sorry to hear about the delay in receiving your tap. The tap purchased is a stocked item and we typically send these out using a FedEx next day service. At the time you placed your order, we were waiting on stock to come in from the manufacturer and your tap was sent direct from them in an attempt to avoid any delay. Clearly this didn't go to plan, which we can only apologise for. With regards to your request for 'compensation' we every other online retailer in our sector wouldn't look to offer compensation for delays that occur outside of our control. Bathroom panel was delivered on time but it had slight damage. I emailed a photo but got no reply. My fitter had to then fit the damaged panel and managed to hide most of the damage. I would have expected a reply.

Good Morning John, We're sorry to hear about the slight delay on your order. Looking at the details we can that the order for a bath panel was placed Monday afternoon and was dispatched on Wednesday. The product purchased is a stocked item and we send them out VIA FedEx on a tracked next day service. The reason for the delay was simply a stocking issue. We received a stock order Monday afternoon but, due to the number of orders process over the weekend, it took a little longer than normal for the warehouse team to get them on the shelves. Delivery was simply left on the ground floor without even ringing my doorbell. Item far too heavy for me to carry upstairs. Unable to check that it is undamaged (as requested) until it is being installed.

We can see that your order was picked up on the morning of the 1st and was dispatched VIA FedEx on a tracked next day service the very next morning. On dispatch an email was provided with tracking links, so you could monitor the journey of your item, and the detail that all deliveries are kerbside only. The details regarding deliveries can be found across the website presale in the FAQs, terms and in both the confirmation and dispatch emails received after placing your order too. Overall the service was ok. Ceiling panels fine but damaged and the trim is awful. The damage period is far too short. Unless you are going to unpack every single panel and check it there and then it’s worthless. We found about 10% of the panels damaged as we used them over a few days to install 2 ceilings. The ceiling trim for gloss panels was a dirty matt colour which didn’t match and the trim and bent or snapped at the slightest manipulation. The wet wall trim was even worse. It was bent out of shape before we used it and it just snapped and disintegrated as we tried to cut it or fit it to the wall. I would not buy trim from Rubberduck again, which as it matches the wet wall and panels, means we probably won’t be using Rubberduck again, which is a shame because their customer service is ok and prices reasonable. Final issue is the sheer amount of plastic waste, both packaging and protective films. Its 2022, do better. Saved from being a 1* review as the second order we received was much important in terms of packaging.

We happen to agree with you here - we'd love to be able to extend that timeframe as much as possible and reduce the amount of packaging protection needed to get the item to you undamaged. The unfortunate reality is that these policies and practices are enforced on Rubberduck Bathrooms by the manufacturers and suppliers that we connect to. If we don't correctly package or file a claim with the companies that cause the damage within the first 24-48 hours, it's us that has to pay for a brand new item as well as the damaged item that arrived too! The complexities and cost implications of supply chains are often overlooked these days, as people look to compare small family companies against multi-billion pound organisations such as Amazon. We do listen and learn from customer feedback and we are looking into ways to negate the increase in courier damages during the busier periods without the use of extra plastics. The item purchased does carry an ETA of 2-5 working days and we can see a tracking link was provided, so you could monitor your items in transit. A further call to the courier was made on request a few days after ordering and an update was provided at the time. On the day of delivery, a 2 hour time slot was allocated and updated within your tracking link and your item looks to have signed for at the start of that time slot. We appreciate your items arrived a day later than the ETA provided however, these are estimates provided in good faith, based on product availability across the entire UK.
