“I have been using Rohan products for quite a few years the quality, feel and durability are second to none. Garments get screwed up, packed in suitcases and they are still good to wear. Washing is not a problem as they are quick to dry.”

“The quality of Rohan products is amazing. My recent purchase of walking trousers reflects this. However, they could be improved by having a part elasticated waist as previous trousers have had. Even though there is a belt, the overall size of 'medium' is still larger than the size described, whereas a smaller size isn't loose enough overall.”

“I'm fairly new to Rohan, less than five years, only wish I'd discovered them thirty years ago. Such well thought out, robust and practical clothing that I use for paragliding, hill walking, golf and trips to concerts too. They look and feel quality and perform supremely.”

“I’ve been buying Rohan since early 1080s, I still have some elasticated trousers bought then which still fit, and still presentable. The lightweight materials are great for holidays. The rule was, if you cannot carry it in a day rucksack, then you don’t take it”

“The Rohan website has a section on delivery including EU countries. This shows the cost for deliveries and delivery dates. You can click on it for further information but this is not of much use as the additional information literally flashes up for one second (I timed it) making it difficult if not almost impossible to see. This was unfortunate for me as this is where the information on customs duties etc is essentially hidden. Essentially they are payable in your EU country. In my case these were duties of €36.91 on a purchase of €82.50 i.e. a total to me of €119.51. Its safe to say I am unlikely to ever be ordering something from this company again as I cannot justify paying a premium of 45% when I can purchase items of identical if not better quality for the lower price from Germany etc.”

“Placed an order in the Cambridge shop for a couple of shirts which were both available but out of stock in the shop for delivery to my home address. Only one has been delivered to date and I have no idea when the other will be delivered as I have received no emails with tracking info etc. Perhaps I have been unlucky with the order.”

“My trusted pair of Rohan Backpacker trousers were virtually falling apart so I decided to order something to replace them. A pair of Pioneer trousers, Pioneer shorts and a pair of Bags. In my experience 99% of men’s trousers these days have a ‘low rise’ cut, meaning they sit more on your hips and have a reduced gusset length. Primarily this is governed by fashion rather than comfort or functionality. I was confident that Rohan wouldn’t be subscribing to any such nonsense, how wrong could I be! I’m an average size 34 inch waist, however the Bags were way too tight and restrictive. Definitely not suitable for wearing all day or walking so they will be returned. Likewise the Pioneer trousers and shorts, I’m interested in comfort rather than fashion. I don’t want my clothing to be anything other than functional! What’s the point of technical fabrics etc if the garments are a poor fit. My Backpacker trousers were fantastic, comfortable, plenty of room and crucially with a high rise fitting that meant they weren’t drifting down my backside! The Pioneer trousers might be ok for going to the shops in etc but I definitely wouldn’t be venturing into the hills in them, way too restrictive. I’m really disappointed, surely these garments are ‘road tested’ under the conditions that they’re intended to be used for? Other brands are the same or even worse, fashion rules over function! I’m not interested in fashion when I’m halfway up a mountain! I’m actually going to have some walking/expedition trousers custom made in order to get a fit that works! As a last resort you haven’t still got a pair of Backpacker trousers somewhere have you?”

“Friendly and helpful shop in my local store at Chester. Fast delivery when on-line ordering. Prices are quite expensive but the quality is there and you pay for that. Customer Services always helpful when needed to ring for ACTUAL measurements. Pity this information is not given on the website together with the Size Guide .”

“Very efficient ordering and quick delivery. My only concern is some discontinued products, trousers in particular were far better, comfortable light weight, I recently purchased chino’s which are meant to be summer lightweight… which are not, heavy plus feel like I’m wearing cardboard…. Sorry”
