“On purchasing a property and taking out the old kitchen, we noticed a lot of black mould in one particular area of the room and was advised to have it looked at as it may need the cavity wall insulation removing. I did some research and was advised to contact Richardson and Starling who had a very good reputation. The admin staff were extremely helpful and polite when arranging a date that suited both parties. The Surveyor, Arthur came to have a look and thoroughly examined all the kitchen walls, and the rest of the house and concluded that there was no need to carry out any extraction of insulation as it was not necessary. I am extremely grateful for his care and professionalism and being completely honest in his recommendations. He was very reassuring. We could have faced a very costly bill for a repair that wasn’t required if we had sought advice elsewhere. Thank you very much and I will be highlighting your company to anyone I know who thinks they have a problem that you may be able to help them with.”

“We have used Richardson and Starling on two occasions. The first to install an ATMOS positive ventilation system in our downstairs flat and then later a Cyclone 7 extractor fan in our kitchen. The instalations were very well done, the workers were very professional and we are very happy with the finished products. Both products have resulted in better circulation of air throughout the house and much better control of humidity and condensation in our old granite building. Steven McLeavy has been very patient and helpful. We highly recommend Richardson and Starling (and EnviroVent.) Jackie Hardy the Contracts Co-ordinator has also been very available and helpful. Thank you to everyone at Richardson and Starling and EnviroVent”

“Richardson and Starling provided a very professional service. Steven conducted a survey of the wall and discussed an appropriate treatment which was followed up with an estimate. The work was undertaken by Robbie and Ian who were polite, helpful and left the work site tidy. They explained what the job involved and completed it as expected.”

“We used Richardson and Starling for major dry rot repairs in Elgin. We had 6 areas of dry rot, some wet rot and problems with woodworm, in a house purchased for restoration. We've been quite amazed at the care and attention we've received from Richardson and Starling, ensuring the best possible result. Where there were major problems, they went out of their way to resolve these and address the issues, and for that, we are hugely appreciative. It's clear to us that Richardson and Starling are an extremely professional company who have communicated well with us, and completed the work in a very satisfactory and professional manner. I would highly commend them for all dry rot, wet rot and wood worm repairs, and as a building surveyor, will certainly be using and recommending them in the future.”

“Repair my wall in my flat due to damp. Richardson & Starling were very helpful with my situation. First Steven came & looked at the problem & we spoke about what was wrong & he told me what they would do to resolve it. I then got a quote & price by email & was very happy with it so signed & agreed for the work to go ahead. The day before the work was due to start Jackie called me to say one of the workmen was sick so could it be the following Monday for work to start & on Tuesday the plaster would be in to finish off. I agreed & Ian & Robbie turned up on time did an excellent job & left my flat neat & tidy. Plaster came on Tuesday & did exactly the same great job & left my flat all clean & tidy. I would fully recommend Richardson & Starling no doubt about it. They always kept in touch before & after the job. Thank you.”

“From start to finish my experience was excellent Steven mcleavy visted my home given me lots of advice then sent email with photos & prices I contacted Jackie at the Aberdeen office to move forward with the work Due to covid & my work I cancelled the first appointment once I was happy to progress the office offered me a day & time which suited me The workman was very polite & never left I spot of dust in my home he explained what he would be done so far am delighted with everything”

“We found dealing with Richardson& Starling,Aberdeen branch to be efficient and dependable. The office staff were friendly and helpful. The joiner Derek on was on site for 3 days was excellent and carried out his work in a competent manner despite the restrictions of Covid.
