“Once I had made contact with the very polite person at the retirement desk office, I was made to feel at ease and important. I was informed of the procedures clearly and was kept up to date on the progress, via phone and email. I would recommend this company strongly to anyone thinking of retiring , they took the worry I had about my retirement , and turned it in to something to look forward to.”

“The whole process was efficient and friendly. I was kept informed at each stage what was happening and when I would receive my first payments. It was particularly good to be dealt with by someone whose name I knew and not to have to press any buttons or listen to automated messages.”

“After my target retirement date, I requested the company through whom I had accumulated my pension payment, to be my pension provider and gave them precise instructions as to how I wanted them to deal with my pension. I was disappointed for not receiving any cooperation from them, so I sought the help of a community worker. He contacted The Retirement Desk website and, to his surprise and mine, he received a telephone call from a Wendy O'Beirne. She was most helpful in understanding my situation, and offered her professional expertise and assistance immediately. She assured him that she saw no problems in achieving what I desired, and once I had given my go-ahead, she went on to provide quotes according to my requirements. I was able to accept those quotes, and she formalised them quickly to my satisfaction. The Online approach helped enormously in effective and prompt communications, as a result of which I was able to achieve my objectives satisfactorily. Indeed, I thank Wendy very sincerely for helping me in a calm and friendly manner, never putting pressure on me to accept anything against my will.”

“Everything was handled clearly, so that I knew what to expect. It was made clear that it was I who had to make the decision, and that Retirement Desk was only offering information, not advice. The whole process took longer than initially suggested, however, which became a bit inconvenient for me, as I needed the money from the cash element. Whether this was because of Retirement Desk, Prudential or Canada Life I do not know, but my wife always says everything will take twice as long as people say, so, as usual, she was right!”

“From start to finish I had every stage explained and was there whenever I had a question, the lady who took my first call was there until I received the start of my pension, her name is Wendy and if I were to put a number between 1-10 it would be a 10+. Thanks Wendy you are a star. Mr J.Heggie”
