“The first contact with the desk was really positive. Kay answered all the queries I had re transfer of monies from one company to another. After a number of emails and telephone conversations I was able to determine the route I needed to go. Kay PROMPTLY sent out all the paperwork, followed through on ALL the queries and discussions and made life really easy at a time of "great stress" ! In addition, she contacted the companies involved and arranged for both my existing pensions to be rolled into one and put with a new company. In short a VERY WELL DONE to her and to the company, you can't go far wrong using the Retirement Desk. :-)”

“I had a problem with a small section 32 policy with Aviva who persistently told me that my only option was to buy an annuity which would give me an income of c. £450pa which I found singularly unexciting. I refused to accept this and spoke with Lisa O'Beirne who arranged a transfer to Canada Life from where I was able to take both the tax free lump sum and the remainder of the fund as a single pension payment which is exactly what I was wanting to achieve. Thank you Lisa and Retirement Desk. I shall have no hesitation in recommending you.”

“I used the retirement desk for advice and then the setting up of a pension from Standard Life. Wendy O'Beirne was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She listened to my circumstances and offered suggestions which helped me to have confidence in what I decided to do. There was a very slight delay (one day) in the money being released from Standard Life. Wendy followed it up immediately and kept me fully updated. She made the whole experience painless for me.”

“I have been very pleased with the service provided by Lisa O'Beirne. At the time of processing my account, I was dealing with a member of family who is seriously ill and was spending a lot of time at the hospital, while also trying to keep my home and family running, and deal with my own health problems. She was very supportive and did not pressure me during a very stressful period.”

“Having called up the Pension Wise service they put me in contact with the Retirement desk and Lisa O'Beirne contacted me and help me through all my questions and when I decided what I wanted to do Lisa took on my Pension claim. I was informed every step of the way and had calls and emails to inform me how the draw down was progressing. what a service I was given and hopefully will use this service again.”

“I was looking on several comparison sites for an annuity to buy with a comparatively small amount of £15,000 from my pension savings.The Retirement Desk featured and Kay Martin contacted me. I liked her approach,which was efficient but warm; she sounded capable and trustworthy, and kept to the point. It turned out that because I wanted to take the maximum tax-free cash from both parts of my pension,everything had to be dealt with together....setting up my pension from my provider,getting two amounts of tax-free cash, and arranging the annuity with the remainder. Kay made sure I got the best annuity for me. She did not 'just' arrange the annuity,she liaised with my pension provider direct to ensure that everything progressed smoothly and quickly.She contacted them every time she said she would,and kept me informed all the way through. Everything was sorted by the dates given,more quickly than I had expected....and certainly more quickly than if I had been doing it. I am all for doing things myself,but,certainly in this instance,it made sense to use an expert. The whole process was worry-free and I now have everything set up. I had been putting it off for some time because I was finding it all rather daunting I totally recommend The Retirement Desk.....and thank you Kay Martin!”
