They consistently refuse to pay claims, instead offering empty promises of 'processing.' I've waited five months for my claim, and it's still 'in process.' Avoid this company at all costs. If you're a current policyholder, please consider switching insurers next year. They will abandon you when you need them most.

I unfortunately had an injury to my back the week my healthcare was approved. Their assessment was it was pre existing as i had prior to that had another issue, which i personally took care of with doctors. They relate the previous problem and say it was pre existing, in a totally different part of my torso?

I would sincerely warn against you purchasing a policy from this company. They have repeatedly asked us to send them the same information time and time again. Sadly we held insurance with them for eight years and when I was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer, they then requested a full life health history in case I was claiming for a pre-existing condition??? Long story short, my husband paid for my operation because “Regency” are still investigating the claim. Absolutely disgusting. We are just lucky my husband could pay for my mastectomy and lymph nodes removal. Beware of this company.

Have used different insurance companies over last 20 years, but haven’t come across as malicious as Regency. When an urgent medical care/surgery is required, they will play clients like a ping pong ball. Multiple different people will come back asking for information which does not exist. When proposed to ask for some specific information/report so that I can get it done. They do not respond to that, and another new person appears asking for “all information”, when everything available has been shared 3 times. Regency claims team will put you in endless loop and you will be cursing yourself on why did you choose Regency. Buy Regency at your own risk, and be assured they are not going to give you the coverage when the time comes.

Regency for expats has a tricky policy: if you have not extended the insurance, they will defer or even not pay you for the claims that you have filed. Huge bureaucracy and constant change of managers that give you excuses. We have written 5 letters with a lot of explanations on our claim-all answers were with delay and excuses. Really bad aftertaste. I would not recommend this service and suggest all my employees and friends to be careful with this company or choose another, honest provider of insurance services.

Denied a claim for my wife's pancreatic stone. This company is a total scam. Stay away. No hospitals in Thailand take this insurance.

2024 Dont use this insurance company for god sake!! I was a member for 4 years and never claimed anything! i never been sick and im a healthy 47 years old man. I got chest pain and blood pressure for a week and went to hospital and paid everything self without claiming anything. After a week i fainted and was driven to emergency and doctors hold me in icu for 24 hours because my blood pressure was 220/114/ 87. They couldnt get the pressure down first and i had this high blood pressures attacks for a week. it costed 3000$. i got a lot of medication and i have a issue for life. In that time they asking me questions and just not being supported at all. They asking me for medical paperwork from my whole life.I told them i havent been in a hospital or hadf any problems for 20 years!. i gave them my hospital that i was in last time when i was sick. That was in Sweden and i gave them dates etc. The hospital hadnt any saved paperwork left so Regency didnt pay me. Im a nomad im working in many different countries so i need a health insurence that i can trust and feel safe with. Please dont use this very bad scam comnpany that preys on people. They dont even have a office somewhere that you can meet them!! For me no issue i have enough funds to take care of my self. I spent 28000$ the last 3 months to fix my issues. But for a person without funds this will be devastating and i dont want anyone to feel that stress when they are in a bad place in life laying in ICU with cables and heart machines connected to themself. Think really before you use Regency! This is my first review in my life, im not that person who write reviews normally. This is a baaaaaaaaaaaaad compay that never give you a yes or no. Its 3 months now and i havent get a yes or no. Be safe and dont use this ciao!

We have not received any contact after we submitted the documents to claim the medical expenses. It seems that we were treated unfairly even though we did everything according to the regulations and you have already received our insurance money. It seems that we are the victims now. And we would like to ask that if we are not covered and cannot claim the medical expenses that we have reserved, do we have the right to sue you because you did not follow the rules?

Stay away from this insurance. You need to pay medical expenses by yourself then fax claim with them later and up to him to decision to paid or not.

I am extremely disappointed with the sudden and highly impactful changes made to my health insurance policy with Regency for Expats. These changes were implemented without any prior notice or consultation and have significantly altered the terms and benefits that I originally agreed upon. One of the most serious issues with these changes is the new requirement for policyholders to pay medical expenses upfront and then seek reimbursement. This change not only creates unnecessary financial burden but also adds stress during critical times when immediate medical care is needed. The removal of direct payment guarantees to hospitals is a backward step, leaving policyholders in a vulnerable and uncertain position during emergencies. The introduction of the so-called "enhanced adjudication process" seems more like a tactic to delay or deny legitimate claims rather than to improve service. The process is overly complicated and creates unnecessary hassle and inconvenience for policyholders who require timely support and resolution of their claims. For new customers and those considering purchasing insurance from Regency for Expats, I strongly urge you to think carefully before committing to this company. There is a significant risk that you may face unfair changes and challenges with your policy in the future. Don’t be misled and join a company that does not truly value its customers.

DO NOT USE!! It is easy to skim over this part of Exclusion #1 in their policy brochure: "...Conditions for which you have received treatment, had symptoms of, had knowledge existed or should have known existed, or you sought advice for or existed without your knowledge prior to your date of entry (preexisting medical condition) will not be covered." ... OR EXISTED WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE In other words, if you find you have cancer (which probably develops over several years) then they won't pay out as it is deemed an UNKNOWN pre-existing condition. This is exactly what happened to me and I was left to personally find tens of thousands in hospital and surgery fees.

Great on small claims. A few hundred and they will pay quickly. But once you are talking thousands they will do NOTHING except make excuses and pay nothing. The small print excludes so much and is worded so cleverly to make sure they are exempt from paying. They left my family stranded abroad with not a penny paid after a car accident which was not their fault. They have not paid a PENNY towards their care and made excuses at every turn. They have had thousands from us in premiums and when we needed them they were not there for us. This company is basically a SCAM. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

They only cover small claims ($200 to $500), but if you have a larger claim ($2,000 or more), they will do everything in their power to NOT pay out, even after giving you the runaround! Since they are a NEVIS company, you have no legal recourse if you ask them to reimburse your premiums; they simply refuse! Pure scammers and rip-offs!

One year on and it is obvious you have no intension of paying out on my son's claim. He is left with a profound stroke, including little eyesight and paralysis. He is left with a huge medical bill, hasn't worked since his stroke, unable to work. He will lose his home and Regency do not care. They only want your money. Do not use this company.

Five stars for marketing but, quite frankly, they just left me high and dry. Buried us in completely unnecessary paperwork in order to get approved for treatment at a medical facility in Bali. Totally wasted our time, money and everyone else's too - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

This health insurance company is NOT to trusted , they want your money but when it comes to claiming especially if you are over 55 years old. They will think of every excuse to get out of paying your claims. I got my policy and one month later I broke my arm and with this the hospital did X-rays of chest area as when I fell over I had hurt that part of my body also . The hospital discovered a mass on my lung. After further investigation it was diagnosed that I had lung cancer. Before I broke my arm I felt fine and had No Idea of having Stage 3 lung cancer. When it came to claiming for this and all the investigations leading up to the stage of going to have Chemotherapy, they wouldn’t cover anything and wouldn’t cover my Radiation/ Chemo treatment either. They No Sympathy nor Empathy for my terminal illness. As I am not a rich person I need to survive and they issued me with a Death Sentence. I asked for refund on my policy to which they totally refused. A few months later I woke up with a very sore back I put up with it for a week but it wasn’t getting better. I had an MRI which the diagnosis was a cyst on lower part of my spine. The surgeon gave my cortisone injections into my spine as I was in so much pain I was unable to walk. I put in my claim for this and again they refused to pay me for my claim. This time I was furious . This company are simply just Corporate bloody Thieves. I’m nearly 60 and I have been forced to retire and I am not rich , hence the reason I took out health insurance coverage. Now I have not been Covered for anything and have paid quite a good deal of money for a Policy that means nothing. This company are a joke, an absolute disgrace, Don’t trust this company they are rude , unsympathetic with No Compassion. Absolutely a pack of Low Dogs.
