Excellent customer service and took care of me from the start of my plan until I had an accident and even got my claim back really fast.

Excellent customer service. The staff walked me through all the steps for renewals I am so impressed. Can't believe Regency always save my life whenever I have problems.

Regency for ExPats and its parent company Regency Assurance is the closest thing to a criminal enterprise I’ve ever interacted with. My son is a member on the most comprehensive plan. It’s been months and they still haven’t paid claims. Anything you read online about how they “pay 99% of their claims” and that they pay “within 24-hours” is complete and utter advertising garbage. I understand a class action suit is soon to be filed about them.

They have a bunch of fake reviews here and also on Trustpilot. The truth is they never payout anything they wil always make up some kind of fake reasons as to why it was denied. Don't trust them they won't help you! I have read many stories of people with serious injuries and valid claims and this company screwed them over! Do not trust them be warned!

I would not trust them again. This is after they declined my initial claim. Then encouraged me to am appeal, based upon their interpretation of my medical procedures, and then they denied the claim. I have filed a compliant with the UK authorities, but this is a stretch. As soon as I feel I can get coverage elsewhere I will leave Regency for good.

Do not trust this company. They will not refund your medical treatment and doctor visits. They charge almost 20x more than an regular insurancecompany and just will make a reason not to refund your money.

I’ve had Life Insurance with Regency for 2 years. I turned 66 in this last covered year. I just tried to renew for 2023 and was denied. The reason? “ We would like to inform you that we could only provide life coverage up to the age of 65 years old. We are afraid that since you have already reached the age of 66 years old, the policy could no longer be renewed”. So, Regency will be happy to take your money while you’re young, but they don’t want to risk having to pay off a settlement as you age. I still haven’t seen this policy in their ‘Fine ‘Print’.

Regency has helped through all my illness that I had to fight through for the past three months. I had cancer stage 2 without any vivid symptoms. However, cancer started to creep in my lungs without me knowing until one day I blacked out and had really bad breathing problems. Regency covered everything since I was in perfect health for the past years, and it suddenly happened. Anyways this comment is to thank you the best insurance I have ever found and without Regency imagine how difficult it would be for me since I am all by myself. The support that the team made was also not just fast claims back but also how the team talked to me about my personal worries, and they really cared about my physical and mental health. They understood how scared I was since cancer is not something that could be cured easily. But in the end, I did chemo radiation and recovered since it was just stage 2 at the early phrase. Thank you for being there through my hard times Regency I am so thankful that I decided to choose this insurance.

My claim has been assessed as not eligible because of my ‘existent’ disease. Which is bull**** and not legal to assume that my current symptoms come from that.

I cannot recommend Regency. They will try to find every possible excuse to not cover your treatment. I had to pay my treatment out of my own pocket and spend endless days and countless e-mails arguing with their claims team, and, ultimately even their senior management about two rejected pre-approval claims. It lead to nowhere. Don't make the same mistake as I did and waste your money on a policy that doesn't have you covered. Avoid Regency at all cost and go with one of the more worthy companies. You will be better off.

Regency is fine if you have ordinary clains with GPs or a dentist, but as soon as you claim for a specialist or non emergency surgery the wheels slow right down and you never hear from them. We have the highest insurance as well. Can't wait to get rid of them. I don't trust them at all anymore. I feel their behaviour is deceitful.

Regency for Expats Review: An awful customer experience from a claims perspective - constantly asking for more information and unable to be prescriptive on the information that would satisfy their experts, who remain un-conctable and hidden behind the account management team. Claims bounce from one account manager to another, who often duplicate requests and seem unaware of previous correspondence. Premiums are good value for money for a reason - you will struggle to get your money back in claims. Would not recommend.

If anyone believes these 5 star reviews, they are crazy. Two vertebrae in the neck and two in my back broken due to an accident. They would not pay for the air ambulance, 6.500 Euros and I had to have all documentation translated from German to English, a further 1,500 Euros. No dedicated claim manager and very long delays in settling the claim (in part). Lousy service, and Now compare are far from independent.

I joined in 2018. I was then 62. I reside in Malaysia being a British ex-pat. In 2019 I had an Inguinal hernia due to lifting more than I should have. The operation was carried out locally and inexpensively. The Surgeons report revealed the hernia I was operated on for as new and fresh. No problem there. However it also revealed an old, fully healed hernia higher up the canal that had failed and repaired itself. The Insurers played the "Pre-existing condition" card and I was not paid out. I am fit and well. I have a regular fitness routine. My BMI is lower end of normal, BP is normal, no real worries at annual check up's. In 2022 I was found to have the right coronary artery 90% blocked after chest pains on my right side whilst at the Gym. I was admitted for surgery, received a Chemical Balloon in the artery (chemical stent?). I submitted my claim to the Insurers and they decided it was a pre-existing condition (again). Their logic is that the plaquing takes decades to occur, I therefore must have had it when I applied for Insurance in 2018. Claim disallowed. I appealed it, the appeal took several months, another months premium was paid and then the claim was booted into touch. I am no longer with this cowboy outfit. Just think about what pre-existing conditions ( long term, silent illnesses) you might have.

Avoid like the plague. Very good at selling their products but try making a claim and first they will tell you that you are not covered and then they will just ignor your emails. with the hope that you will die and leave them alone.

Steer well clear of this outfit. It has a glossy sounding name, but an abominable service. I cannot give zero stars, so I had to give it one. But believe me, not even that one star is deserved. I paid a four-digit USD amount for my annual coverage, only to have two claims in sequence declined for payment. You will not be adequately covered with this policy. It is as useless as tits on a hog. Any money you wire them to cover your policy may just as well be flushed down the toilet. You'll be better off saving it, and then either pay for your treatment out of your own pocket (which is what I had to do) or spend it on an insurer that actually deserves the title "insurer". I was ripped off, don't let the same happen to you. Heed my warning.
