Not sure what these negative reviews are about, maybe competitors, they have a 24 hour helpline, so to say they dont repsond is rubbish - I have used them for many years and never had any problems. I have had to put a deposit down for some inpatient stuff before because they dont have direct billing but they sent a rep out to pay it the next day, plus it much cheaper than all the other guys.

Regency for Expats has been indelibly fast to respond to any inquiry or claim. While they have to do due diligence they maintained always polite messaging and friendly communication. We are super happy with their services, support and benefits.

Regency for Expats never ceases to surprise me in a positive way. The messages are kind, prompt, and friendly. My claims get acknowledged the day I submit them. Their progress is carefully tracked for me. And usually within days I get a message saying: "your claim has been approved." This message typically thanks me for having made good use of my insurance policy. I have to say, normally the prospect of communicating with an insurer fills me with trepidation. Not so with Regency for Expats. I truly feel they are on my side and that they will always be fair-minded. I really can't recommend Regency for Expats highly enough.

Stay away from this insurance. You need to pay medical expenses by yourself then fax claim with them later and up to him to decision to paid or not.

I am extremely disappointed with the sudden and highly impactful changes made to my health insurance policy with Regency for Expats. These changes were implemented without any prior notice or consultation and have significantly altered the terms and benefits that I originally agreed upon. One of the most serious issues with these changes is the new requirement for policyholders to pay medical expenses upfront and then seek reimbursement. This change not only creates unnecessary financial burden but also adds stress during critical times when immediate medical care is needed. The removal of direct payment guarantees to hospitals is a backward step, leaving policyholders in a vulnerable and uncertain position during emergencies. The introduction of the so-called "enhanced adjudication process" seems more like a tactic to delay or deny legitimate claims rather than to improve service. The process is overly complicated and creates unnecessary hassle and inconvenience for policyholders who require timely support and resolution of their claims. For new customers and those considering purchasing insurance from Regency for Expats, I strongly urge you to think carefully before committing to this company. There is a significant risk that you may face unfair changes and challenges with your policy in the future. Don’t be misled and join a company that does not truly value its customers.

DO NOT USE!! It is easy to skim over this part of Exclusion #1 in their policy brochure: "...Conditions for which you have received treatment, had symptoms of, had knowledge existed or should have known existed, or you sought advice for or existed without your knowledge prior to your date of entry (preexisting medical condition) will not be covered." ... OR EXISTED WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE In other words, if you find you have cancer (which probably develops over several years) then they won't pay out as it is deemed an UNKNOWN pre-existing condition. This is exactly what happened to me and I was left to personally find tens of thousands in hospital and surgery fees.

The cover and price were excellent. The 'pushy' attitude of the staff seemed like desperation and gave no confidence to me... so much so that I may not actually take up cover with them

Great on small claims. A few hundred and they will pay quickly. But once you are talking thousands they will do NOTHING except make excuses and pay nothing. The small print excludes so much and is worded so cleverly to make sure they are exempt from paying. They left my family stranded abroad with not a penny paid after a car accident which was not their fault. They have not paid a PENNY towards their care and made excuses at every turn. They have had thousands from us in premiums and when we needed them they were not there for us. This company is basically a SCAM. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

They only cover small claims ($200 to $500), but if you have a larger claim ($2,000 or more), they will do everything in their power to NOT pay out, even after giving you the runaround! Since they are a NEVIS company, you have no legal recourse if you ask them to reimburse your premiums; they simply refuse! Pure scammers and rip-offs!

One year on and it is obvious you have no intension of paying out on my son's claim. He is left with a profound stroke, including little eyesight and paralysis. He is left with a huge medical bill, hasn't worked since his stroke, unable to work. He will lose his home and Regency do not care. They only want your money. Do not use this company.
