I had to wait close to 3 weeks for my order with no prior communication advising processing/delivery times. I understand stock availability may impact delivery however communicating this can help manage expectations.

Good evening Pamela. Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. I am of course, sorry to hear that we haven't met your expectations with regards to service. I can see by your order that it was placed on the 16th September and was shipped on the 30th September. This is a little longer than we would have liked, however, it is within the 10-14 days stated on our website with regards to online ordering timeframe. Unfortunately, we were waiting on delivery of one of your items which is made to order for the school and as such, we could not send your order out immediately as we were waiting on stock.

The sports bag is of good quality. It arrived in good time. It was also very easy to get in touch with the Sales team. To up sell, there could be an option to add names or initials. The bag is a good size and can be used for sports as well as a bag for travel.

Glad you're pleased with both your purchase and the service received. We do offer the embroidery of intitals/names on some of our bags but this is dictated by the wishes of the school. In this instance, unfortunately, the school have not authorised personalisation.

Delivery time is ridiculous (10-14 working days) And sizes aren’t in familiar. Each time when I place the order I need to check on the Google for accurate size. Still some sizes were out of stock. If out of stock how could we send our kids to school as no other suppliers there!

Good morning Sangarapillai I would like to take a moment to respond to your review. School uniform such as that supplied for Oakfield School is often 'made to order' specifically for the school and this is the case with alot of items in your order. We allow 10-14 days for despatching of our online orders to allow us to try to source any sizes/items that we may not have in stock at the time but are able to pick up within a few days. We find this far more effective and reliable than having to constantly mark items temporarily out of stock, as particularly at this time of year, stock does move in and out within minutes/hours and it would be impossible to keep up with. Some items, due to the 'made to order' issue mentioned above, do have much longer lead times and this also allows us time to communciate with our suppliers to ensure we can give you as accurate as possible information if we should need to let you know it is out of stock. Using various manufacturers (in line with the school's requirements for their uniform) also means that the sizing will often be different from one garment to the next and as such, we do aim to put as much information as possible on our listings on our website (i.e. chest size, waist size) to enable you to measure and make the best choices. In addition to this, we do also have a shop you can visit so that you can try on the uniform (particularly for the first time) and either purchase and take away or order whilst in store. Whilst I did have a good online ordering and delivery experience I unfortunately did not have a good experience when returning some items to exchange for larger sizes in store. Despite checking the returns policy before returning which at the time stated that only tags needed to still be on with no reference to the packaging (it has since been changed following our exchange), I was told in the shop that they wouldn't accept the items due to not being in the original packaging. This was completely unreasonable as this was an online order which my daughter needed to try on, and the items were not damaged and were resalable, so there were no grounds to refuse my return. In addition, I contacted the Citizen's Advice Bureau to check this rule and was referred to the following information which clearly states that customers are not required to return items in the original packaging and that this would be considered "an unfair contract term" (see link below) I did eventually get agreement to exchange my items but was left feeling I had been badly let down by the customer service I received which forced me into a position of having to defend my rights as a customer. It is an unfair and unreasonable policy as stated by the Citizen's Advice Bureau and I was extremely disappointed having shopped at Red Oak Roller for the last 8 years through my daughter's primary years and now secondary and have never had an experience like this. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/changed-your-mind/changing-your-mind-about-something-youve-bought/#:~:text=You%20don't%20have%20to,it%20wasn't%20packaged%20properly.

Good afternoon. I would like to take a moment to respond to your review. Firstly, I am very sorry you feel you have had a bad experience in shopping with us. I can however confirm that it is our company policy as stated on the website that returns meet certain criteria in order that we can re-sell anything that comes back as a return. Had the policy been checked during your visit, and I apologise that it wasn't in this case, your attention would have been drawn to the following points which were in fact already on our website and therefore, were not amended following your visit: Items must be returned in a resalable condition, unmarked and unworn Items must have tags attached and returned in their original packaging Whilst we do completely understand things need to be tried on, I believe your return was for two packs of exactly the same size, which rather than one of them having been opened using the sealed opening, had both been ripped open damaging the packaging. As a result of this, our staff were just following our company protocol with regards to returns. As explained to you on the day, unfortunately, we don't hold spare packaging due to the packaging taking place at our manufacturer and not at our premises. The staff in our shop, as in all shops are asked to follow procedures when considering a return and this is why your attention would have been drawn to them not being returned with their packaging in a resalable condition. As mentioned, however, you were given an exchange for your goods on the day despite the packaging being damaged.

We went to the school to purchase the school uniform at a pop up shop. Had 11am appointment, early so expected to be able to try on all sizes. They didn’t have many of the sizes needed or any of the uniform the purchase there and then. Had to come home and order online still not knowing the size needed. Once I ordered the uniform it stated delivery 7-10 days. Waiting well over 4 weeks for the uniform to arrive. Not good service at all. Now going away and not much time to change wrong size uniform. Having ordered on 2nd July I thought I wld be organised and plenty of time. It is now 17th august and going away it will be a rush to get organised for the start of school. Not impressed at all.

When the parcel arrived and was opened none of the uniform apart from one item came in a sealed packet or had any labels on them. Truthfully it all looks second hand. Very disappointed spending all the money expecting nice uniform to arrive and be presented the way it did.

We are sorry to hear that you weren't happy with the goods you received as that is not what we would have hoped for. I can assure you that the goods you received were all brand new and the clothing we use is all approved and often dictated by the schools themselves. With regards to your concerns over packaging and tags, please let me explain. We very rarely package items individually as we are conscious of the impact on the environment and therefore try to avoid excessive packaging (especially plastic packaging). With regards to the labels, this would be due to us sending out freshly embroidered items. Again, in an attempt to avoid wastage, we would only put tags on our items when they reach our stock room so that they can be sold in the shop.

Dreadful service. Ordered and paid for home delivery. Over almost 3 weeks later was told my order had to be delivered to school. Postage refunded but over 2 months since ordering I still dint have my items.

Good afternoon Sarah. I am sorry that you are dissapointed with the service you have received with your order. Our instructions with the leavers hoodies come from the school. Firstly, the reason for the long lead time is due to the fact that these hoodies are made to order and we are required to wait for the 'closing date' that we advertise on the listing for the hoodie before we can commence production. In this instance, our instructions were to deliver all hoodies to the school and for this reason, the listing clearly stated to select school delivery for your free delivery to school. Unfortunately, we are unable to disable the deliver to home option from our website and we do ask the school to communicate this out to the parents placing orders to avoid such problems. As you have mentioned, as soon as we became aware of the fact you had paid a delivery cost, we did in fact refund the cost of delivery. I can confirm that your order was shipped to the school on the 13th July and I can only apologise on their behalf for you not having received your items. If you would be kind enough to contact the school regarding this matter, I am sure they will be able to confirm that they do in fact have your order.

Sizes were at least one size smaller than labelled (child is 11 and normally wears age 12 clothes, ordered age 13 to allow growing room and it is a very snug fit), and print quality was poor. We were committed to this supplier as it had been chosen by the school, and no returns due to bespoke print.

In terms of fit, we do put as much sizing information on our website as possible so that people like yourselves who are buying remotely can get as good a fit as possible. I will however, in light of your feedback, look into what other information we might be able to use for our online listings to help parents when sizing their items. In terms of the print quality - I am very sorry to hear this and this is not what we aim for at all. If you could send me an email on schoolwear@redoakroller.co.uk explaining the issues you have found with the print, then I will do my upmost to find a resolution for you as we do aim to send out high quality goods and we would like to understand how you feel we have fallen short on this.

Yes I was very happy with the order. But I was disappointed that I was charged postage to come to my house and they sent it to the school for free postage. I lost postage money over this

Hi Kate Thank you for your honest review and I am sorry you felt disappointed in this instance. As per my email to you when you raised the issue with us on Friday of last week. We do request that the school inform all the parents that when ordering hoodies, if they do inadvertently use the 'deliver to home' option rather than the 'free delivery to school', that the payment of delivery costs may not be picked up by us due to us automatically using the 'send to school' option in our despatch department. I am sorry if the school did not pass this information to you. However, also as per my email to you on Friday, as soon as this issue was highlighted to us, we confirmed that we were more than happy to refund your delivery cost. As per my email on Monday (the very next working day), I can confirm that your delivery costs have been refunded and so I am happy to say, that you have not lost the postage cost for this order.

Lovely quality school leavers hoodies , I had an issue (my fault ordered wrong size) emailed company (response within the hour) and dealt with Lorraine who went out of her way to make sure I got my sons larger hoodie in time for his school trip .
