About The Red Dog Company:

The Red Dog Company was born out of the quest for well-designed, high-quality, dog beds and accessories.

Our dogs work hard, whether in the field, or exercising the children. When they’re not out and about, the chances are they are in their beds, so it seems only fair to make them as comfortable as possible.

Nick and Chris are field sports enthusiasts, and self-confessed gear obsessives.

“My nearly nine year old Irish Terrier needed a more supportive dog bed and when researching options, issues came to light which led me to looking for natural materials, but in a supportive structure. I have wasted money on Dog Beds over the years, and I wanted to get this right. The Red Dog Company ticked all the boxes. I chose the large Fire Orange Dog Bed with an extra natural wool topper blanket. I opted for the large over the medium size, to ensure my dog had room to stretch out within the supportive structure, because in her old bed, she would be half in half out. A leading UK Vet’s online advice suggested opting for a larger than you need dog bed for those that like to stretch out. I am so pleased with the Dog Bed. The quality is first class and the best dog bed we have ever had. And I have been really impressed with the customer service responding to my order, and then contacting me to double check address issues we often encounter, but also when kindly accepting and accommodating order changes. Delivery was quick and delivered within the date given at the point of purchase. I have already recommended Red Dog to other dog walkers when talking about our dog’s ailments! I finally feel I’ve done the best I can for our much loved Irish.”

We wanted a quality dog bed for our dog and we are so pleased that we have purchased this durable and very comfortable bed for our dog. He enjoys the flexibility it offers with its generous proportions which work well when the dog is stretched out giving him the space he enjoys and equally when he is curled there is room for the addition of a comfy pillow and partial over blanket which our dog sometimes enjoys. Thank you for thinking the product out and bringing it onto the market, its built to last and offers great versatility and is well worth the extra cost initially. It has given us peace of mind that our dog is getting the best possible sleep conditions.”

“I searched high and low for a Dog bed from a British Company, and came across Red Dog and immediately bought the woollen mat for Mollie my border collie (she loves her comfort!). They may be on the expensive side but well worth paying the extra. I’m looking to buy one of the beds in the future. We’ll done Red Dog”

“I am so impressed with the swift and personal service from the Red Dog Company. I was wondering about sizing for a bed for my 5 year old Irish setter who is tall and long. I got an immediate response to my enquiry even though it was a bank holiday. I ordered a mat which was delivered in two days. It looks lovely and when I unpacked it Finn sniffed it and immediately lay down in it and didn’t move for an hour.”

“The quality of the red dog bed I bought was second to none. No sooner had I unpacked it than both my dogs were in it. Until I bought this bed both dogs preferred the sofa or our bed but now they happily sleep in the red dog bed. I love it some much I have just ordered another so each dog has their own.”

“We bought their slip lead for our dog after seeing someone else with one. The lead packs down wonderfully small and is easy to stuff into a pocket when not in use. We liked that after use the lead flattens out and sits nicer on Gruff, especially when used as a figure 8. Customer service with order updates and communication in general is fantastic. We use the lead everyday and so far it is standing up incredibly well to use with no fraying or even damage from attempted chewing.”

“I bought the extra long Jaeger slip lead and on arrival I was very happy however I have now been using the lead for a few weeks and I am extremely disappointed as this lead has no internal substance to it - it arrives in a nice cylindrical shape but is now squashed flat for the majority of the lead, the bound section seems to have substance - for the price this lead now does not look very nice. One very disappointed customer :-(”

Dear Lisa, I'm very sorry you are not happy with your Extra Long Slip Lead - we only want delighted customers so please return it to us for a full refund. You are quite right about the lack of internal substance; our Master Rigger deliberately removes the core to reduce bulk so that the Lead is pocketable when not in use. We will make sure to include this fact in our product description going forward. This is not detrimental to function - our Leads are tested to 500kg - which is the limit of our testing equipment! “Having recently found out our ALD had a touch of arthritis in an elbow joint we were recommend to get flat, memory foam beds. Having shopped around we found The Red Dog Company. A British company, making their covers from natural materials and wool. Bought one to test; our boy took to it like a dog to a bed. So much so, that we quickly followed up and bought some more, we now have three. Brilliant quality, easy to change the covers and he does not sink into his beds any more.”

“My arthritic Border Terrier loves his new bed. It gives him the support he needs. He is no longer restless at night and his joints are not so stiff in the morning, he now moves out of his bed with ease. The quality of the bed is excellant, and delivery was quick.
