About The Red Dog Company:

The Red Dog Company was born out of the quest for well-designed, high-quality, dog beds and accessories.

Our dogs work hard, whether in the field, or exercising the children. When they’re not out and about, the chances are they are in their beds, so it seems only fair to make them as comfortable as possible.

Nick and Chris are field sports enthusiasts, and self-confessed gear obsessives.

“Came across The Red Dog Company by pure luck and so glad that I did. The medium dog bed is ideal for our Jack Russell. It’s well made using quality products and made in England - a rarity in this times. Sailed the boat out and purchased the roll mat that will come very handy when on our travels. In all it’s stylish, comfortable and she fits it very nicely - thank you The Red Dog Company.”

“It was so good to come across this amazing website / company. We just recently got a little 3 year old cocker spaniel and the first thing we bought was some quality products for her. We bought her a luxury bed and also the medium orange roll-mat which is fabulous and we also bought her a slip-lead. What we love most in the luxuriousness of the products and the quality and the fact that they are made in England. We would definitely be purchasing more products in the near future for our lovely doggie. She goes on the luxury bed every single day and the orange roll-mat is between us both on the sofa. Every night she jumps up onto the mat! we are going to The Lake District next month and the roll-mat will be coming with us as it's just so handy to roll-up and carry and use as her bed. THANK YOU TO THE RED DOG COMPANY - you are a lovely business.”

“This was a considered purchase due to the cost, but it’s well made and good quality. Our 10 month old Labrador seems to like it, and hasn’t tried to chew it as yet! He seems to like the fleece topper, he’s had a good scratch at it, but it’s not been damaged at all!”

“Cobalt blue large bed We have had flat-coated retrievers for years and have spent a fortune buying beds that weren’t suitable. The sides collapsed; the base was too thin and needed extra padding; inner cushions would be removed and chewed, as was the entire bed sometimes; they needed regular washing; skin allergies would intensify; they weren’t comfortable. All these negatives have disappeared now that we have found the perfect dog bed, after intensive searching, and it’s British. It’s expensive but to meet a flatcoat’s requirements it would be. No sooner had I got the bed out of its big box, with no extra packaging, Tiber jumped in and wouldn’t move for hours. He can curl up or stretch out - just like the photos on the website. The base, however, is too big for the boot of the car - another topper, or a bigger car?!”

“Our Wire Haired Vizsla, Bertie, is active and fit for his 12 years. However, he tore both rear cruciate ligaments when he was a youngster and now has arthritis so is sometimes stiff and slower than he was. We were hoping our recent purchase of a large mat from The Red Dog Company would comfort his joints and stop his constant fidgeting and digging on his bed. The mat arrived this morning and since he got on to it he hasn't moved! The quality is impressive but the fact that Bertie has taken to it so quickly (and he's very fussy about his bed) quadruples the satisfaction. It has been worth every penny. The extra good news is these beds are made here in the UK in sustainable materials. I would thoroughly recommend this product.”

“This is a great product - looks great, works well - couldn't be happier. No issues with delivery or quality. We purchased a dog bed for our large black labrador. We love it! We find it very difficult to find dog beds that are chew proof, comfortable and attractive - this one is definitely all three! Our dog loves it - it is still all in one piece (unlike other dog beds he has had) & we get lots of comments on how attractive it is & how well it fits in with our kitchen decor. Definitely a winner!”

“I saw the range of mats and beds at the Hampton Court Garden Festival and I was impressed by the quality of them. I wanted to check the size I needed before ordering. Chris kindly offered me a small discount to match the show price offer and I ordered the roll up dog mat in cobalt blue in a small size, which is perfect for my dog as the photo shows. I’ll definitely be buying more from this company in the future.”

“Ordered a medium bed to fit a wooden bed made with inch spare space bed was Not the correct measurements ordered as per website at least 2-3 inch shorter depending on where you measure from so make sure you ask for measurements before ok ok ok ordering or bespoke order. However that aside the bed itself is excellent”

Dear Elunor, Thanks for your review; I'm sorry that our Mat did not meet your expectations. The memory foam used in our Mats and Beds is supplied to us with a tolerance of +/-5mm so we cannot understand how this is possible. It would really help us understand, and rectify the issue, if you could send us the photograph you were going to send, further to our email correspondence on the 29/6. “Very pleased with the oak bark leather collar which arrived for our ever-growing 8 month old yellow lab Harvey. Went with XL and it wasn't too big and has room for him to continue to grow into. “Really beautiful quality, far exceeds any other dog bed I’ve bought (and we’ve been through a lot of beds!). Lovely dark blue tweed and shearling which is really easy to clean as it’s natural wool. My 4 yr old lab seems extremely comfortable and happy on it and it’s kept him off the sofa. The bed keeps its shape and looks really smart in our lounge. I’ll be purchasing the roll up mat as well.”
