About The Red Dog Company:

The Red Dog Company was born out of the quest for well-designed, high-quality, dog beds and accessories.

Our dogs work hard, whether in the field, or exercising the children. When they’re not out and about, the chances are they are in their beds, so it seems only fair to make them as comfortable as possible.

Nick and Chris are field sports enthusiasts, and self-confessed gear obsessives.

“Our 7 year old lab Hector had CCL surgery as a pup and as he approaches middle age is showing signs of lameness. We knew he needed a bed with better support and the arrival of our new sofa focussed minds. He looks longingly at said sofa but always settles comfortably on the large green dog mat, which has the added benefit of being very portable and so travels with Hector from room to room.”

“My dog Nellie loves her new bed. It is stylish and seemingly very comfortable, as she is always in it!. We bought the grey, medium size and it is just perfect. Her younger brother Walter is very jealous. Saving up now for one for him. Highly recommended”

“Was originally given a hard time by my family for buying such a fancy mat for our new puppy Binjai but I and she are both delighted with it. It is cosy, but not hot in warm weather, and easy to roll up and take with us when she comes into the office so she feels at home. Seems to be puppy proof as well, which is proving useful as you can see she is a chewer.”

“I am really delighted with my recent purchase from The Red Dog Company. I bought the medium, grey dog mat for my cocker spaniel. I have really struggled to find a bed for Nala that she would actually prefer over the settee but happy to say she loves it. Excellent quality, fast delivery and great value for money. “This was an expensive purchase for me but the quality is outstanding. Delivery was super fast, very refreshing! I wanted a dog bed that is attractive enough to use in our sitting room. Zulu loves it, he's a lanky, boisterous standard poodle x lab and the large size seems super comfy for him. Highly recommended and good to deal with a British firm using natural materials.”

“I bought 2 fleeces and a large mattress mainly for my 10 year old dog . The larger fleece is great on top of an older memory foam mattress in the car for my 2 dogs to share . They love it ! A mattress from Red Dog would be even better of course, but I bought one for by my bed at night and Leo took to it straightaway and sleeps more soundly without shifting around now and loves it . The fleeces provide soft comfort and thermal comfort too and are great to place and use wherever needed . Really pleased and impressed with the website , service , fast delivery and product . A wise investment .”

“A beautifully made and versatile dog bed. Our Labrador loved it from the first time we unrolled it. Great for taking on days out or on holiday (we’ve used for both) as well as for everyday use at home. Customer service was excellent, especially when I originally ordered the wrong size.”

“Came across The Red Dog Company upon searching on the internet for a dog bed which rolled up. Previous searches resulted in no success until now. Our dog is now 12 and was not looking comfortable in a conventional bed. The description sounded ideal and would be good for a hound to just be able to stroll up & lie down if not so agile. It is robust on the outside and mega soft on the inside. It rolls up neatly and pops shut easily. Leaving the floor space free when not required. It also appealed to us for taking on our hols in the UK so it would easily be transported to whatever destination. So no more fights to squeeze it in the car! Woodie happily stretches out on it or curls up snuggly. He has also been seen upside down to! Delivery was very quick which shows a high standard of customer service. So it is a hit with us all. I strongly recommend this item for it’s quality, durability and obvious comfort for one little hairy hound.”

“We thought long and hard about spending so much money on a dog bed. But we took the plunge because our boy is worth it. We were tired of buying cheaper beds and throwing them after a few months. The postage was steep £10 on top of the price of this item, however, Loki loves his bed. He jumped on it as soon as it arrived before I could get the label off! It is exceptionally well made and is beautiful to look at . The tweed fabric and extra thick wool topper are of a fantastic quality . It is worth every penny . Loki likes a nest so I put a loose blanket on top, which he likes to scrunch into a ball. The result is a happy comfy dog.”

“We decided to take the plunge into the £100+ bed category for our 13 year old Parsons Russell Terrier after the vet suggested a memory foam mattress to help alleviate her arthritis. We'd noticed she was rejecting her current (very lovely but oval shaped) bed in favour of spreading out on the floor and so decided to go for it. We try to purchase british wherever possible and so decided to invest in a Red Dog Company bed. Tilly just loves it and every penny was well spent. She's only 7kg (so small for a PRT) but we went for the medium size so she can have a good old stretch. To begin with she kept to only one corner of it but once we added a blanket for her to scrunch into a loose nest she started really making use of the space. She is clearly much happier. It looks great and we loved the colour choices. I have only given 4/5 instead of 5/5 because i feel that at this price point delivery should have been included. That said, we are very happy customers. No photo as Miss Tilly is very camera shy.”

“Outstanding service, and an incredible product. Our dog has spent the last eighteen months in a bed costing less than a tenner, and has been more than happy with it. My wife and I both seriously questioned whether a Dog Bed could ever truly be worth three hundred quid. One week of watching how our dog has been loving his new bed has been enough to shut down those concerns completely. There is no better measure of the quality of a pet product than its observed use. This is an outstanding product, that our dog loves. The design is spot on, the stories behind the materials used are endearing, and build quality is tangible.”
