“Not a huge amount of response I got 4 in total - one was super expensive central London based outfit and the other 3 were reasonable but got put off reading reviews on some of them as it appeared they were offshore/production line outfits so a pure lottery if you got someone with any sense or a complete imbecile - I wasnt prepared to take risk to save a few hundred quid so opted for a local conveyancer.”

“I was looking for a surveyor for a homebuyers report and the surveyor Nick Cobb MRICS was recommended. They did an excellent job and as a result of their report I pulled out of the house purchase due to the findings from the report. I have found another house and will be using the same surveyor for my report.”

“I was looking for somebody to do a home buyers survey for my flat purchase. Entered details on reallymoving.com and had three quotes within a few seconds. Followed up one of them and they were equally efficient and I have a survey booked. Thoroughly recommended.”

“The problem with this site is that removal companies appear to put up a clickbait low estimate which is a small fraction of what they will actually quote in reality. Examples: On Reallymoving: £1536, actual quotation after survey: £3417 plus extras. On Reallymoving: £1068, actual quotation no survey: £2335 plus extras. The other problem is that you are inundated with emails and phone calls when you just want to find out what companies are interested and what the likely costs would be. Other comparison sites for insurance, utilities, etc do not have this issue.”

Whilst we try and make our quotations as accurate as possible, some matters can be more complex than others and therefore, they can only be accurately quoted on a case-by-case basis after a direct conversation with the removals firm. It is therefore not always possible for our system to take into consideration all aspects of your requirements at the stage of quotation which can result in the slight inaccuracy of quotes. “When we have used comparison sites for insurance, power, broadband, etc, we have not headr from the result organisations until we selected one and made a purchase. With this site we were bombarded with phone calls and emails. We just wanted to see which firms were interested and what the cost was likely to be for when we do get to move.”

“This was a truly bad experience. I asked for quotes, just like with any other comparison site and now my phone won't stand still with movers being very intrusive and wanting to agree on dates and rates. Not professional.”
