“Ordered a Squier CV 79s jazz bass, delivered next working day as promised all in good order. Reasonable set up straight out of box but will set neck and action further. Not the cheapest supplier on market for this model... but not overpriced and ‘in stock’... will definitely use again... thanks Rattle & Drum.”

“Gretsch G2655T Stremliner Jr centreblock guitar.. what a name for a guitar.. lol. I ordered the guitar on line, after reading some reviews about it, I just purchased during lockdown. It was a risk that turned out ok.. The guitar arrived a lot earlier than I thought thinking that it would not be posted out until Tuesday after the work I had requested had been carried out. I asked for new strings if needed and a complete set up of the guitar. The action is a little high I thought and the 6th string was not sitting right in its Bigsby location. With one of the strings with what looked like an age related mark.. So I had to go to work on the guitar straight away. I thought I'll leave the action for a minute and just resit the string as when I 1st played the guitar it seemed not to stay in tune. I was feeling slightly negative about the experience, I had played classical guitar for probs 25 years and now I was crossing over into a whole new world. Lockdown has changed jamming in my world and now I jam with friends online using Jamkazam, i plugged the guitar in, fired up Guitar rig VST inside Reaper and I was not dissapointed. OMG.. what was this thjng that come to life in my hands, my guitar playing as a friend said, had come on 10 fold. Now I heard this guitar was easy to play, but the truth is, I dont know as I'm born again guitarist. So overall experience excellent, guitar came earlier than expected and after looking for faults (being the miserable git I am), I was not disappointed, the whole experience has been joyful and my new toy has taken pride of place in my growning guitar collection.
