“Received this as a birthday present from daughter. So far all seems good. First book arrived promptly and I will have time to read it because of the current crisis! Let’s be grateful for small mercies! As a new member would have liked an email to prompt me to choose the next book - but it’s always possible that I missed the info in the welcome emails. Love the idea of supporting new writers. I had fallen out of the reading habit so am thrilled to be revitalising my imagination! I will be able to say more further down the line of membership no doubt! And hopefully will revise my “good” to “excellent”!”

“I gist subscribed at Stylist and could not use my online code. When I contacted them via Instagram no response! My subscription has now ended and I have had no reminders or special offers for my custom back. I would join again but they need to Inform their customers of their subscription are ending and whether they would like to renew!”

“I wanted to read more books and loved the idea of being sent something that I might not ever choose for myself.My first book was absolutely fab and definitely not something I'd have picked up. I love that the books are all by female authors too. I have enjoyed reading the viewpoints and thoughts of other readers which makes me think about the book a bit more and sometimes look at it from a different angle. The book arrived beautifully wrapped and with a lovely bookmark- a very exciting bit of mail to receive!! I can't wait for next month's rare bird delivery!”

I love the selection of books and also that you have a choice between two books so there’s always something that will interest you. The fact that you can have a bit of a discussion is great as well as I love to see people’s different perspectives and opinions of the book. I don’t know if there’s a way to encourage discussion a bit more though, but would overall highly recommend.”

“When I subscribed, it was already past the date you could select a certain book, so I got sent one by random and it wasn't my cup of tea - added to that I accidentally must have selected it twice, so I received another additional book. “I received a three month subscription to Rare Birds Book Club for my birthday. I thought it looked a bit "girly" for me as I am used to a diet of tartan and Scandinavian noir. I have just finished my first Rare Birds book and I have been completely won over. I loved the book (it even had a murder) and can't wait for the next one.”
