“Just such a wonderful experience altogether. Choosing the book from clues about two options is exciting, and often the book you receive isn’t something you would have read usually. And the getting together online afterwards is really fun and bonding. The online presence of Rare Birds, especially on IG, makes me feel like I’m part of something. Definitely a ray of sunshine in 2020’s gloom.”

“It’s like receiving a beautifully wrapped gift every month in the post. I’ve really enjoyed all the books I’ve been sent so far but I haven’t felt the pressure to finish in time for a deadline that I would in an ordinary book club. “I signed up to RB Book Club during Lockdown and the books have been a complete saviour. I wanted to find new authors that I hadn't read before to mix up my book shelf, and it's worked! I like how you can pick between two blurbs before one if delivered, as I'm not a romance type of book so I can opt for the thriller or a different genre. I've put the subscription on pause because I've not managed to read all the books yet - but come the new year it's on my to-do list to sign back up! Highly recommend!”

“Absolutely amazing subscription, it’s a brilliant treat every month getting my book club pick. I’ve read books which I would probably not have picked up myself and they are all women authors - what’s not to love about that? “I’ve been a member since January 2019, I came to rare birds wanting motivation to read more and to widen my horizons regarding the genres of books I read. I also liked the idea of just being sent a book to read without having to think about it. Of the 21 books I’ve received so far there has only been one I didn’t enjoy, everyone else loved it on the discussion board though. I’ve seen rare birds change from everyone being sent the one book to now you have a choice to make each month which I love. I have to admit I’m not great at commenting on the discussion boards but I do read what others are saying about the books. I love rare birds so much I’ve bought gift subscriptions for other members of my family and I can’t see me cancelling my subscription any time soon, keep up the good work rarebirds.”
