“Carefully curated books with a choice of two each month. The chosen book arrives nicely packaged and feels like a treat! Interesting to read the editir's comments and then to read and contribute to online reviews. As an older reader I'm trying to move out of my comfort zone in books and Rare Books is proving a thought provoking choice. Also have to admit that with family in the Glasgow and Edinburgh areas I already have a bias towards a business based there!”

“I shopped around before eventually signing up with Rare Birds. I love the element of surprise while at the same time having a little bit of control over what book you get. The first two books I've received have bother been amazing but couldn't be further apart in genre! At least one of the books I probably would never have thought to buy but am so glad I read it. The books turn up promptl, in good condition and beautifully wrapped. Am definitely extending my subscription when my initial three month trial ends.”

I've never received a book I haven't loved. Customer service is great, I've recieved a few lucky dips before that I've already owned and they quickly responded allowing me to swap for something I didn't have. Thank you rare birds! Reading has been such an escape for me in lockdown but the titles I’ve gone for so far have been so enlightening and challenging and fabulous reads too!! “My son bought a six book package for me for Christmas. I have so far read 2 books. Neither books would I have picked for myself. However, they have both been thought provoking. “This was a lovely concept to accept as a Christmas gift. However the choice of just 2 books with such little description is limiting. Faced with an easy read or in-depth tome, I opted for easy to while away lockdown. Unfortunately the subject is mind numbing akin to cheap TV reality show. Hoping the next book will be a better read.”

“I looked at alot of book clubs and rarebirds is by far my favourite. Quick and great customer service when I had an issue (which was my fault). Fantastic books with a good genre variation. RB release 2 blurbs a month (but not the author or title) for you to choose from so you will never be stuck with a book you hate or read before but you still get a surprise when it comes through the door! Or don't pick and they'll pick for you. I love that you can review the monthly book online and join other RB members to discuss. Every month I get a super cute bookish book mark too. At this price whats not to love! Definetly renewing my subscription when my 6 months prepaid runs out.”
