About QDOS Breakdown:

QDOS Breakdown is an emerging force in the motor breakdown and vehicle recovery market. We are also known as QDOS Rescue Services and are a trading style of QDOS Insurance Services, who has operated as an insurance intermediary since 2007. We started selling breakdown cover on the internet in February 2011 and have never looked back.

“Cover for 2 vehicles for one year - only required QDOS once, answering calls and communication generally very good but seemed to take quite a while to allocate a vehicle to us so not the fastest. Once on site, quick to transport away to home but no attempt to rectify the problem (broken throttle cable). Overall, good value for money but could respond quicker.”

“We were involed in a car accident while driving through Belgium on our trip from England to Germany - QDOS were quick to the scene, calling out a local mechanic and having our car towed to the garage. They called a taxi to get us to a nearby car rental shop to pick up our Hire car which we could use to travel on to our destination. Hotel rooms were offered but we had our own accommodation planned. After our car was fixed and ready to be collected we had another taxi called for us to take us to collect it and were again on our way! Thanks for the great help QDOS. We felt very looked after in a moment and situation where we could have felt very lost and alone! *****”

“Price was good, Thankfully I did bot need to use the recovery, even after a the bike didn't start half way up the Pyrenees/O bought the recovery as a backup and I didn't need to use it so I can't really give a different rating.”

“Really pleased with my European breakdown cover. Whilst in the South of France one of the brackets on my exhaust fell off. Although I didn't need the full breakdown service I decided to call QDOS for advice. They quickly located a local garage who would be able to assist me and sent me the postcode by text. A new bracket was fitted and even whilst I waited at the garage QDOS called me to make sure everything was alright. The service was excellent and the staff courteous and helpful. I would have no hesitstion in recommending QDOS to anyone. First class service!”

“Use the service once last year. A wheel came off my trailer, the axle hub completely sheared off. The trailer was too heavy to move on my own, so I was really stuck. I did not think I was covered but contacted QDOS, everything was sorted with one phone call. A tow truck (Edgertons - Manchester area) arrived within half an hour, pulled the trailer onto the truck and delivered it back to my home address. The driver then helped me move the trailer to an area of the drive out of the way. The support and service was first class and very efficient, my reason for rejecting other well known recovery companies - read the small print always.”

“I have 5 years' membership with the AA who wanted an additional 3 x the annual cost just for cover in France for 2 weeks- extortionate! Went online with QDOS and got this sorted in 30 minutes at a fraction of the price. Haven't had to use as yet, so fingers crossed the after sales service is just as good.”
