About QDOS Breakdown:

QDOS Breakdown is an emerging force in the motor breakdown and vehicle recovery market. We are also known as QDOS Rescue Services and are a trading style of QDOS Insurance Services, who has operated as an insurance intermediary since 2007. We started selling breakdown cover on the internet in February 2011 and have never looked back.

“Very easy to buy. Once I'd realised there was a 'heating up' period before you could make a claim you were the cheapest that would provide cover from when i needed it. That said i never broke down but having cover in place meant it wasn't a worry”

“Like all breakdown cover insurance, it's only as good as you find it on the day you need to use it. I did however buy my Euro cover from QDOS based on other reviews which seemed very good. Fortunately I never needed to use it during a recent European road trip so I can't comment from personal experience but the price was good and there didn't appear to be too many off putting bits in the small print. This is the second time I've taken out European breakdown insurance with QDOS and I see no reason not to use them again.”

“Took European Breakdown Insurance for a trip from UK to Italy. Car broke down in Strasbourg - Qdos were excellent. Recovery vehicle arrived within 15mins of call from Qdos Call Centre and got the car started. We then had to take the car to a garage for a new starter motor to be fitted - but the Qdos team stayed in touch for several hours until we new we were able to proceed with the journey on completion of the repairs. Will use Qdos again - best £35 you can spend if motoring in Europe! Thanks Qdos.”

In my opinion the one thing that would get them up to 5 stars rather than the 4 I have given, would be an app to use if you breakdown, several companies now offer these location apps for your phone.”

“On Friday last July 24th the recovery truck took around 80 minutes to arrive. I found that your control did not contact the recovery company until 11.10am some 40 minutes after my call for help. This made it impossible for the tow truck driver to make your 60 minute maximum response time. In looking for the compensation payable for not making the 60 minute maximum I find reference to the Policy Certificate but cannot find any such document. Where is it?”
