“Delivery took a little longer than usual (hence the 4stars rather than 5) - but I was warned about this when I ordered. This wedge has made a huge difference to my GERD (due to a small hiatus hernia) after 9 months of gastritis this has been key in my recovery and so worth every Penny! Thank you Putnams m”
“This is a really firm pillow. It fits well for a side sleeper and the dip in the middle of the pillows means the head is not at an awkward angle with most 'puffy' pillows. it is quite high i'm hoping it flattens just a little with use, but it is a really good pillow to support the head to take pressure of the neck.”
“My Putnams pillow is well made and I like that they offer different fillings and extra pillow covers. It took a while to arrive because it is made to order but it arrived within the time stated on the website.”
“This is overall a great purchase. I was really pleased to find something with wool, as I find it so much more breathable and I get warm at night. The two pillows feel good quality, with an inner cover containing wool and an outer cover, and are absolutely stuffed full of wool! I ended up taking out about 50% of the wool from one side, I found this left a firmer pillow for back support and a softer pillow for bump support. It’s really easy to adjust the firmness like this and save the wool if you want to make changes later.
My only real issue with this pillow, is that the Velcro system for adjusting the distance between the pillows is not great. The biggest problem is the location of the ‘scratchy’ Velcro on the second pillow case; I feel it is positioned too close to the inner edge. This means that it seems to get detached really easily and I find the pillows seem to ‘slip apart’ slowly overnight. The other issue is that the Velcro is far enough forwards that I can feel it scratching my skin. This is a huge downside to an otherwise really great pillow as it clearly isn’t comfortable! I’ve tried using the pillow upside down so the central strip of fabric is on top rather than under the pillow but because the Velcro goes across the full width, it still tends to ‘peek out’ at the edge and the strip of fabric also gets all bunched up overnight.
My solution has been putting a pillowcase around it but that’s not ideal and does mean it’s a little less comfy for me as the fabric gathers. I’m quite sensitive to lumps and bumps.
I’m still using the pillow as it offers great support but I’m currently trying to think of a way to alter the pillow case to remove the Velcro completely, I am thinking buttons and button holes may work better.
All in all for the price I would still recommend this and purchase it again but the Velcro is a real shame and worth bearing in mind for anyone considering this pillow.”
“Excellent pillows and a great place to buy from! I bought 7 items within a year and every one is of great quality! The ones designed to alleviate pain are indeed very helpful.”
