“Pure Cremations do a thorough job in times of mourning and are good to lean on. However I noted that the staff are over zealous when queried on issues and on two occasions did not let me finish speaking without continual interuption . The sad note is the Urn that they provide for cremation ashes . It is not in keeping with traditions and as they do not offer alternatives they need to be upfront disclosing the container and allowing people to choose alternatives before the Plastic container arrives on your doorstep. I did query with them afterwards and learned that they do not offer alternatives and clients must provide their own prior to the cremation.”

Regarding the concerns you have raised about the communication aspect. A senior manager will review all correspondence, including phone calls, and your feedback will be forwarded to the relevant department to ensure we consistently provide the best service possible. We have carefully selected the ashes container for its strength and eco-friendly features, along with a design that allows for easy scattering of ashes and includes our unique ceramic identity disc. The material used for our urns is biodegradable, enabling the urn to be interred in the ground. Every family has the option to use an alternative urn, and we are happy to transfer the ashes into their chosen container before returning it. We appreciate your valuable feedback and will definitely think about how we can make this more clear to families so they know what to expect. “After 2 previous RUSHED Impersonal service's at our local Crematorium, we wanted a more Personal approach. Mum & Nan were given 30 minutes slots (16 years apart)where we were ushered in & out to watch the next coffin coming in as we were heading out to view our family flowers! I rang PURE after loosing Dad & had a COMPASSIONATE, RESPECTFUL response. We had a long chat about how things would go & a contact I could call anytime with any questions. There was No hard sell, No pressure to decide & ALL the information I needed explained perfectly so I could take the right steps in the right order to make everything go through as easily as possible, especially as it was during the Christmas & New Year holiday period. Everything was VERY WELL DONE!!! Dad’s Ashes were delivered as arranged. The ENTIRE PROCESS/EXPERIENCE WENT THROUGH IN THE MOST COMPASSIONATE WAY POSSIBLE IN SUCH A DIFFICULT TIME! “Good service, good communication, but as a family we found the whole idea of a loved one going to the crematorium alone very sad. Therefore would not recommend that type of service, not for us”

“I must say that throughout a very stressful time (wife passed away unexpectedly in hospital and could have been subject to a post-mortem -turned out not the case though) the one element which went extremely smoothly was the involvement of Pure Crematation. From my first call to the office where I was answered very quickly , sympathetically and patiently (it took some time because I couldnt get two words together) until the ashes were delivered -again very sympathetically. All very professional. Thanks to the team”

“Ashes delivered to incorrect address. My father had arranged, when taking the plan out, for his remains to be delivered to me, his daughter, rather than his home. On his death, we changed this so he was returned to his wife. On subsequent calls with Pure Cremation we were told they only return ashes Monday to Friday. I asked what the process was on receipt and was told they would give paperwork, including how to open the container. I decided this would be too upsetting for my mother so asked to change the address back to mine. This is where something went wrong. I was transferred to despatch, spoke to a lovely lady who changed the address and confirmed to expect the driver at 9.30 am as we were first on the route. I was told I would be emailed the day before to confirm delivery. I didn't get this, or any email to confirm the date of return of ashes. On the delivery day, I called after 10am to check where the driver was. Pure Cremation said they would check. The driver called about 10 minutes later to say he would be there in the hour. No mention of why delayed or to confirm address. I then had a message from my mother to say my dad was delivered to her. This was exactly not we wanted. I would not recommend Pure Cremation. Yes, I could have asked the driver to confirm delivery address, I could have asked the call centre person to confirm the address but I am dealing with death adminstration, a bereaved mother and working, it shouldn't fall to the family to ensure there aren't procedural failures. Pure Cremation should have a system in place to check and double check.”

“We had decided to take this route after a very distressing family funeral. We both agreed that we wouldn't put anyone through that again. When Patrick passed as suddenly as he did there was no decision to be made. His wishes were followed to the letter. Pure Cremation couldn't have been a better choice. No fuss. They were ALL respectful. Kind and supportive. Everyone I spoke to couldn't have been kinder. Absolutely I would strongly recommend their services to anyone. I cannot thank them enough for making this very difficult time so stress free.”

“I used pure cremations after speaking to numerous funeral directors and the person that impressed me so much was a young lady here. She was professional kind and put our thoughts and loss int to consideration. She took me through every stage from the start of the paper work to the cremation and how we get the ashes back. I was amazed that the ashes had been returned in person by pure cremation I am giving your service 10/10 Thankyou for M the bishop family”
