“Easy to order, product arrived in good condition, well packed. Fitting instructions could have been more informative, e.g. the pulley wheels need to be screwed into the ceiling beams but the instructions didn't say what size hole to drill, which is critical. Too small and there is a risk of shearing the pulley screw as it is being screwed in; too big and the pulley wheels will fall out of the ceiling as soon as any load is applied to the clothes rail.”

“The double pulleymaid - Beadboard Drying Rack is great and brilliant as it doesn't take much room. the only thing is the width is not quite wide enough for my husband's shirts to lay flat, having said that if it was wider we couldn't have fitted it our utility room so all in all a good purchase and ease to install and strong enough to hold all my washing.”

“Exactly what it says. Very helpful and efficient company, with prompt shipping. You need to plan where it will go and almost make up a template to see how much space is required when lowered - more than I anticipated, but solved by cutting 15cm off the lathes. Has a slight tendency for the lathes to slide, but that is inherent in the antique design.”

“I was very pleased to receive the Pulleymaid which now hangs in part of my kitchen. Not only does it serve its purpose in drying the clothes but it also looks modern and attractive while not in use. It does not cost as much as long sessions of tumble drying and therefore helps me save money in wet weather.”

“A simple, good quality product which does what is says on the tin. The only shortcoming is the small size of the cleat hook supplied for anchoring the cord on which the rack hangs. With new (stiff) cord, in particular, it is very difficult to ensure that the cord stays wrapped around the cleat, and the cleat is too small to accommodate more than a couple of turns. Changing the cleat for a larger one fixes the problem - but a larger size is not available from Pulleymaid”

“A brilliant way to dry clothes in the empty warm spot above the stairs in our tiny house. The screw-in pulleys seem to work fine but I would have preferred a bolt-through option as the 6-foot 6-lath rack is scarily heavy when loaded. An inertia-reel pulley or something would be great too, as in our house we have to stand under the whole thing to hook the cord on to the cleat, which doesn't feel that safe, especially with curious children around.”

“Good delivery time. The installation instructions were clear and helpful and we are delighted with the dryer. We would certainly buy again! The packaging was not as robust as it might have been and so the wood on the airer was grubby at the ends and had to be cleaned - but this only took a short time.”
