“I should have bought one years ago! My tumble-drier broke, and I decided to replace it with a pulley- maid. The logic was simple- to save money. It will only take a few months of not using expensive electricity to pay for itself. And it dries better- yes,better than the tumble-drier”

“Prompt delivery etc, all very good. A friend has made some tiny wedges to hold the laths in place as they clonked into the wall where I have a heating computer. I had to get used to balancing the clothes I hand to avoid the pulley maid swinging around. But overall it’s a great item to have, situated in my warm utility room by the washing machine. Happy with it!”

“The concertina airer is a lovely, solid product and easy to fold away, but also to move when extended. It would have five stars if it had slightly more room on it - either an extra level or double rows. It’s not a cheap option, but definitely value for money. Customer service was excellent and delivery was easier than expected.”

“A fantastically simple idea from years ago. Drying your washing indoors but up out the way of the radiators so it's not blocking the heat from them. The quality of the pulley maid is very good and can come in various lengths so it should fit any household and save you money in the long term.”

“I needed a second double pulley to route the cables to and then down the wall. All the ceiling airer companies sell these things but I liked the look of the Pulleymaid. The pulley is well made, painted white with nylon runners and what looks like a stainless steel axle. The shape is simple with no pretend Victorian twiddles. The threaded part is much the same as for most of these products and screwed securely into a pre-drilled hole. A well made product fir for the job.”
