“Thought this was pricey but is proving a wonderful space saving investment. Don't know how long the rope will last so will eventually need to replace that but really enjoying the look and utility value”

“The pulley maid original works well and was easy to install. The quality of the casting is reasonable, though I dislike the plastic rollers in the pulley (probably works/lasts better though). Delivery to Finland took a lot longer than promised, however communication was quick and polite and they tracked down the problem efficiently (I believe the problem was to do with contractors at this end) Over all, i am happy with the product, and feel the price was reasonable.”

“THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN 5* BUT FOR THE SCREWS. THE BLACK PULLEY WHEELS HAVE BLACK SCREWS - ALL WELL AND GOOD YOU MAY THINK - BUT THESE ARE IN THE CEILING AND WILL NOT BE SEEN. HOWEVER, WHEN IT COMES TO THE BLACK ROPE SECURE/TIDY THAT WILL BE ON VIEW, THE SCREWS ARE COMMON CROSS-HEADS AND SILVER! PULLEYMAID PRODUCES A GREAT PRODUCT BUT MORE THOUGHT NEEDS TO BE GIVEN TO THE FINISHING WITH SCREWS. SO MANY PRODUCTS ARE SPOILED BY LACK OF THOUGHT.”

“Good item that is very well made. Great that it comes with all the screws etc to fix to wall. If I was to be picky it would be that the instructions are a bit minimal. My other feedback would be to make the pre drilled holes larger so that you can insert a pencil or similar to mark the wall prior to drilling.”

“Looks lovely and holds a lot of washing only problem is that the slats aren't "stuck" or "held" in place. We found they kept falling out when lowered up and down and move around. Sorted this by putting a cable tie on the end of each slat. Seemed to have solved the problem”

“Prompt delivery and received goods as described. Only concern was that quality of metalwork seemed a bit 'light' - more about managing expectations as I was expecting a heavier, cast-iron product but will no doubt do the job particularly as it hangs suspended from ceiling.”

“This is a great solution to getting the washing out of the way in a small house. I have mine installed in (above) my stairwell. There is just one aspect of design that could be improved - the lathes could be provided with something to fit over their ends to hold them in place. As it is, it is very easy for them to get pushed through their holes so that they poke out of the holder more on one side than the other and if you didn't notice this happening, it could easily even come right out at one end. If that fault were fixed (which I inagine would be easily done) , I would have given it 5 stars”

“The pullymaid is amazing. Service was quick and efficient. Just one thing the instructions for putting it up are wrong. The measurements for where the pulleys go are wrong. If you add the measurements up it works however the pulleys are a few inches wide and therefore the pulleys need to be closer together to allow for this. When we first put it up according to the instruction measurements the slats (laths) only had a few centimetres each end and kept falling out. Apart from that everything is great and I'm really happy.”

“This is a very neat piece of kitchen equipment which certainly helps with the problem of how to dry washing. I had something similar although rather larger in my previous house, and was delighted a smaller version existed for my new house. It's an economical way to dry washing on wet and/or cold days and, providing you have beams in your ceiling in the 'right' place, and a competent installer, this is a really good product to have. It is important it is installed properly, or you could have the ceiling down or at least your washing!”

“It's well made and easy to assemble. The parts which need to be strong seem to be so If you have beams in your ceiling in the right locations for where you want this to hang then fitting is a breeze. If you don't, as in my case, then you have to get inventive as the mounting screws are welded directly above the pulleys, giving you no option to use alternative fixings. The slats once inserted are fairly mobile, which is ok but they would be better as a tighter for. That said, it looks good, arrived in good shape, the rope is sturdy and the paintwork is well done.”

“Really nice clothes airer. Easy to put up (if you can find your beams!) and works really well. The only thing I would criticise is that the wheel part of the cast iron pulleis are grey plastic which looks a bit cheap compared to the rest of it. But once I put them up you can't really notice them. I had no problems with ordering or delivery to. Overall I'm very pleased with it.”
