“Got some Tavec 201, why have you started putting bags inside the tub, I lose about a quarter of the material with this new method, last time I bought Tavec it was in a plastic tub with no internal bag and I got 100% of the product.”

Hi Stevie, Thanks you for your comments. We have passed these on to the manufacturer and they have advised that the inner bag is a new design which was created to help tackle the issue of leaking and damaged tubs upon transit. Whereas before if the plastic tub took a knock the contents could spill out causing the transit of the item to cease. Now if the tub gets damaged, the contents inside will not leak out and can be delivered intact. They have also made the following suggestion with regards to removing the Tavec 201 from the bag: Lift the entire bag up, carefully slice the bottom with a sharp knife over the original tub, a small slice will suffice. Wait for the majority of contents to pour into the tub, then from the top, tightly squeeze the bag downwards. The bags are thin and will express the vast majority of the remaining contents. “Paint was great . Reasonable price . But delivery price was terribly expensive, To my post code although I am in the Scottish highlands . But still on the British mainland . Hence only the 3 stars”

We're delighted to hear you were pleased with the paint and we completely understand your concerns about delivery costs, especially for those in the Scottish Highlands. Unfortunately as the product you purchased is classed as a hazardous substance, this affects how it is despatched, as it needs to go via a courier with approvals to carry that particular hazardous code. This can sometimes affect the overall delivery costs, however, you will be notified of the delivery charge before completing your order. We continuously explore ways to improve our delivery options and keep prices as fair and as low as possible. “The paint is excellent and arrived well packaged and safely. The only issue we had is the delivery which took over 5 days to arrive although we paid a premium courier charge. On phoning we were told that the product had to be ordered in and wasn’t in stock as indicated on the website. We weren’t kept informed of this. Great paint when it arrives.”

All sizes are shown on the Technical Tab of our web site, where we list the size of the overall plastic as well as the size of the cut out logo, allowing you to choose the most suitable option for your needs. However, based on your feedback, we are in the process of updating the product on our web site, so that the sizing options are made clearer. I understand that a member of our team has already spoken with you concerning this and hope that we can be of assistance again in the future. “Price was good and order handled efficiently, but the courier (APC) was told that had to get a signature on delivery. Since I live rurally that was a problem, and it wasn't until the third attempted delivery that I was able to be in when it arrived. At which point the order was handed over ... without a signature. I'd certainly order from Promain again if it wasn;t for the risk that I have to spend a full day or longer at home to receive the goods.”

“2.5 litres Aluminium paint arrived expediently in good order It was pretty bloody expensive at around £120 I've painted my 36 aluminium gangway and iroko treads Looks good Time will tell re durability”

“I purchased yellow line mark paint and stencils to cover existing carpark lines for a client the paint would not mix or paint it was like treacle so I called technical department who then said it has had complaints about this before in colder regions , there was no mention of this when purchasing I was then told to put paint tin in bucket of hot water for about half an hour tried this and it was still like treacle so gave up and had to purchase other paint to complete task, the paint was expensive so thought it would be best option how wrong was I and because the tin was opened no return or refund was offered will not be using this company in future. The stencil I ordered was a LARGE wheelchair and come as a small stencil so again disappointed.”

Unfortunately, yes, some paints especially ones formulated for outdoor use do increase viscosity when applied in cold temperatures and onto cold substrates. We will discuss with our Technical Team the best way in the future to warn customers of this in the future during the colder months. “Classidur Universal xtrem epoxy stain block. The service, as in answering phones, giving advice, and speed of delivery is excellent but the boxes used to deliver the paint need to be sturdier and perhaps tougher bubble wrap, although the box was intact one of the paint tins had a large split which was only discovered several days after receipt when I needed the second tin, paint EVERYWHERE! I live in a small flat and it was fortunate I retrieved the second tin in my kitchen where a massive clean-up took place. Unacceptable when this paint is so expensive.”

“The web page said £7.75 for delivery excluding certain products. Mine was £13 inc. VAT. Otherwise an excellent service including quick delivery and dispatch. In this case I would have prefered slower service and lower delivery charges as the paint was for a local Church project.”

“Order of 5m of over bonding tape arrived on time measured it. it came in at 4m80 not a problem as i did need a lot more but product was good and worked well”

Hi, Thank you for contacting us concerning this. We have checked several rolls that we have in stock here and all of them are just slightly over 5m. However, we have also contacted the manufacturer as we wanted to be sure that this could not happen again, and they have assured us that they use a high-tech cutting machine that will not allow cuts below 5m. It appears that you have somehow received a faulty roll, for which we do apologise, and as a gesture of goodwill we are happy to supply you with a new full roll free of charge by way of compensation. If you would like to take up this offer then do please contact us and we will be more than happy to arrange this for you.
