2 Products : 1) Kurtail Evo for Horsetail weeds (Marestail). Works extremely well, this is year 3 and I am now completely on top of this aggressive and determined monster. Great product. 2) Wee Patch Restore, for dog pee on a lawn. Really doesnt work, other than making the dead brown stain appear green for a few days. There really MUST be a better priduct on the market than this.....

No problem with ProGreen, actually very helpful when their courier UPS twice decided to return my delivery to base. This meant I was in the end forced to get the chemical from another supplier (overnight i might add, DHL managed to read the two foot high number '42' on my front wall, UPS couldnt manage that. Im sure Progreen would have come through in the end but my weeds and the weather sadly couldnt wait!

I think it's too early to give a decisive review as the product was only applied a week ago. Instructions say to leave the weeds (principally horsetail) to die completely back, and they are only at the wilting stage.

I am disappointed that the ALGOCLEAR i purchased recently from Progreen didn't clean by block paving as I was led to believe it would.

I like the product but the post and packaging cost are crippling to an independent sole trader Please reduce these

Hand sprayed 2 acre field 2 weeks ago although very late the heavy weed infestation is showing distress although the ragwort still seems healthy, will spray again in April (used Headland with additive.

the weed sticks are brilliant especially if people suffer from lower back problems, but the sponges suffer greatly if used on small cut stumps as the jagged edges cut into the sponge after a few days intensive use ! A perforated plastic end may help to reduce wear.

Product is very good but delivery charges are excessive

Hi Stuart - Thank you so much for your feedback. Sadly due to the nature of the products we are unable to use many of the couriers available to other business. In addition the type of products we retail dictates the prices we are charged, these tending to be higher. We do try to keep the costs to our customers as competitive as we can & use a number of distribution networks in order to do this. If it is of any help the standard charge does allow you to order up to 20 kg in weight so it is sometimes more cost effective to order a number of products in one go. We hope this goes to explain the reason behind the charges you see, Thanks for letting us know and as ever we will always continue to explore options where we can to reduce our delivery rates. Kind regards - The Progreen Team

I've been buying from pro green for 3 years now And I've always been happy with the service BUT this year the price of a 1ltr bottle of topfilm has gone up by 50% from £50 a bottle to £75 a bottle which is outrageous I'm already looking for another supplier for next year Feel ripped off

Tony - We are sorry to hear that is how you feel. We have tried to maintain the price for a number of years, however as the product is imported from overseas and supply has been difficult and due to that we have been hit with price increases which couldn't carry and so sadly had to pass this onto the customer. We do endeavor at all times to be price competitive and where we can keep price increases to a sensible level - but on this occasion it was not possible. We are and will continue to review the cost when re-ordering this product. Thank you for your feedback and taking the time it is much appreciated.

Product arrived safe and sound but ordering process was odd; when you make the order on the website there’s no confirmation on the website that the order has been confirmed, nor any email confirmation. Only way we knew the order had been successfully placed was by checking our bank account.

We purchased 5L of Evo Kurtail, having read and watched its effects on Marestail. However, in the leaflet which accompanied the 5L of Kurtail, Marestail is not listed among the weeds it is effective on. In fact, Marestail is not mentioned anywhere! A little concerning considering Kutail is heralded as the No 1 treatment for the weed! We await to see the results and hope this product comes with a guarantee.

Hi Progreen- At the moment I can only give 3*. After 5 weeks of one SBK/KPlus treatment on Mares Tail - some had become partly blackened and others less so. I dug these up and found 60% of the stalks/rhyzoids were black as well. I have left the MT surrounding my banana plant for now as about 40% showing signs of withering. I may have been slightly economical with SBK treatment dose as I found the instructions rather vague. Also the pressure container spay I purchased had only one hole in the nozzle where I understood it was a multi holed spray - so although easy to use just gave one directional spray. Am also not clear how often you can use SBK per year? I found Progreen to be very efficient and appreciated the speedy resposes to my emails and telephone call. So I will persevere! Many thanks - Maggie

Not received the soil sample review so cannot comment

The soil analysis is comprehensive however the interpretation is unrealistic, if you follow their advice you’d spend huge amounts of money and spread huge amounts of chemicals. It’s a shame as Progreen are very responsive, they just need to give realistic and practical advice. Pass your soil analysis results to a local farmer for better advice

Dear Lucilla Sorry the interpretation wasn’t what you expected. I have checked you recommendation. Our team of agronomists are qualified and experts in this field and your recommendation is accurate to supply the needs based on the soil sample to the kilo. The worst advice we can give you is recommend an amount of product that will not address the reported shortfalls. We do also see the outcome of neighbouring farmers applying what they have in store onto paddocks without reference to the soil’s needs or product suitability. This may seem like a cheap option at the time, but can take many years to correct and rebalance. In terms of the product mix, you will have seen we operate a traffic light system with our recommendation – prioritising what’s most important. Obviously everyone has an amount they are comfortable to spend and we are always happy to assist where the budget is best spent. I’m glad you liked the analysis, the products suggested were what you needed. I would be interested to hear what you decide to apply and happy to pass a professional opinion.

Progreen themselves are OK but they use UPS to deliver. UPS are so difficult to. deal with if you need to change a delivery slot - It took me over an hour. Progreen, if you read this then please consider your customers and try to find a better delivery partner

Thank you Michael, we always appreciate feedback and we will certainly have a chat with UPS about this. We are often restricted on the couriers we can use as many of our products are ADR and have to go by a specially registered courier as a legal requirement. Unfortunately this does limit our choice but we do use a number of other operators. Generally we receive a good level of service from UPS and we will always give them feedback when they fail. UPS are continually looking to develop their service. Sorry in this instance it wasn't up to the standard we would expect. In future if you need to change anything please do give us a call and we will endeavor to help you. Many thanks The ProGreen Team

we suggest you move courier to someone other than UPS, they failed to deliver on the first two days promised but did manage third time round.

Hi Robert, Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us. We’re sorry to hear the couriers let you down. Sadly due to the nature of our products we can be limited as to how we send them out, but it always good to know what is going on as we can feed this back to them. Let’s hope next time is more successful and once again thank you it is really appreciated. The Progreen Team

Products always so their mob well. But I am constantly disappointed in the postage charges which seem unusually high compared to competitors. I always check to see if I can get similar elsewhere before using pro green.

Hi Mark, thanks for writing a review. With regard to the delivery charge, we have to abide by regulations for transport of the type of products we sell. Due to the nature of the products - they are delivered using a registered ADR courier and cannot be carried by Royal Mail or other non ADR courier firms. Unfortunately the charges for regulated ADR carriers are higher. Thanks, The ProGreen Team

Recently purchased Kurtail Evo to eradicate mares tail- can only rate the product acceptable as I don't know if it will work. Phoned the advice line, who were very knowledgeable and helpful. But when I purchased the product (£65 inc postage) that this was really an agricultural solution and not for a garden. The info on the website was that this was the best product on the market- didn't realise it had to be used with a tractor! What are the issues with holding a hand held spray ? What can you use in a limited access garden to control this weed with long lasting effect ?

Hi, thank you for leaving a review. We do clearly state that Kurtail Evo is a “professional use product for boom spray only” on the fourth line of our listing. We must only advise on label recommendations. We do have an alternative for non professional use. Please see: https://www.progreen.co.uk/sbk-brushwood-killer-kplus-water-conditioner-bundle As ever, we are pleased to discuss requirements over the phone in more detail. Thanks, The ProGreen Team
