Found this company quite rude, customer service is not the best, day of purchase I called about 5 mins after they opened just to confirm I did everything right as I have severe anxiety, the man who answered the phone was incredibly rude telling me how they’ve only just opened and gave me the impression that I shouldn’t be calling when they’re open to ask a query about my order. Due to this I was then uncomfortable calling them. I was then messaging them via my order screen and again I found them quite and came across quite aggy, my query was not answered. I would not recommend this company although they did what they said they would if your asking simple questions, DO NOT BUY WITH THIS COMPANY there customer service is appalling!! As a first time private registration buyer, I will definitely NOT be buying with this company again regardless of their price! Customer service is number ONE. To this company your money is number one.

Purchased a reg number then told two days later it had been sold two weeks earlier. Second number supplied at the same price . I had to call several times to chase the paperwork and was told the seller was on holiday. After some considerable time I received a call from yourselves to say I couldn’t have that reg as it was fraudulent. I was then supplied another number that went through ok. Obviously this is why I couldn’t give you a higher score. The lady who dealt with all of this was very sympathetic and helpful

All was good at first easy enough to order answered phones and dealt with a mistake i thought id made. emails sent out about dispatch 3 weeks later still havnt recieved the plates or certificate and when asked if they could email a copy of certificate so that i could print out as its a christmas present was told as they have already sent it their is no details held on file to email me. I underetand that royal mail are striking but have read reviews that its taken 6 days for people to get their orders from purchase and here i am nearly 3 weeks later with nothing

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I'm very sorry to hear that you think our service to be so poor. Unfortunately we, like a lot of other companies and private individuals throughout the UK, are suffering due to the Royal Mail strikes. We have today received post from the DVLA which was sent last month. It is frustrating for everyone in involved in waiting for a delivery / post to not receive it, but we can assure you that the post is despatched to you as soon as we communicate it to you. Designed to be an internet friendly company. I have one major complaint. The private number that I had chosen & paid for was not available. I received a phone call from Paul an hour or so after completing the transaction to be told it had already been sold. I was offered alternatives and accepted one. However, I needed a private plate and decided to accept the alternative. The process after this point went without a hitch and because I had done everything electronically the process was so quick that I received notification that I could put my plates on the following day.

THE ONLY REASON FOR THIS SCORE IS THE FACT IT WAS MY FAULT I BOUGHT THE WRONG REGISTRATION AFTER PAYING JUST UNDER 900 POUNDS, WILL YOU BUY IT BACK I ASKED NO PROBLEM THE ANSWER WE WILL GIVE YOU 300 POUNDS I LEAVE YOU TO MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND IF THEY PUBLISH THIS REVIEW OF COURSE REGARDS TOM HUGHES

Hi Thomas, Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. I don't understand the comment regarding publishing the review - we don't hide from any genuine reviews that are left for us. I'm sorry that you feel that our service to be poor due to offering you an amount to buy a registration into stock. Unfortunately we don't own all 66million registration on our website, and when you ordered your registration we then had to buy it then to then supply to you. That registration had been for sale for 6years before you purchased it. You said yourself that you ordered the wrong registration, and therefore asked if we would buy it back from you. The issue here is that we would then be paying out for your mistake, and may not sell that registration for 5,6,7,8 or 9 years, if not longer. As a business we would have to buy something at the right price as otherwise we wouldn't be in business much longer. By the sounds of it you think that we should have bought it from you at what we sold it to you at, but that's not how things work I'm afraid. However I can see that the registration is now on your vehicle, so you haven't lost anything at all. I hope that you enjoy your new plate. Thanks The Primo Team

Hi Jeannette, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I'm very sorry that you feel our service to be so poor when we have to follow the law with regard to receiving your documents. You can view the lawful policy here: https://www.gov.uk/displaying-number-plates/getting-number-plates-made-up The law is set to stop people cloning your number plate - someone could just get a set of plates made up and then put them on a car and drive off without paying for petrol, get speeding tickets in your name, get parking tickets in your name etc. It is there to protect you and that is why we follow the lawful requirements set out. I'm once again sorry that you feel the service from us is poor due to this, but I really don't think that the review that you have left for us is justified. Wasted the money paying for them to do the transfer theybtold me they could not do it and had to semd of all the paper work so I could’ve done it myself after I had to go to the post office to get the transfer form anyway

Hi Thomas, Thank you for leaving us a review. I must admit I'm a little confused by this review - I can see that we receiv ed your transfer paperwork in line with our process on the 17th February, where we advised the transfer would take between 1 and 15 working days (our normal processing time). We then communicated to you on the 28th February, just 7 working days later, that the transfer had been approved and you could now display your plates. At no stage did we say that we wouldn't be able to do your transfer, and I can see that we were able to in the timeframe above. In addition you state that you had to go to the post office, but the post office cannot complete a number plate change on a vehicle. I therefore don't think the service that you've received justifies a 2 star review, but I hope that you enjoy your number plates. Best Regards The Primo Reg Team
The wrong shaped plates arrived without a border around despite paying for it. Ordered over the phone as I was concerned it was not a standard size. Customer Service were quite condescending and not very communicative and attitude was almost rude. Had to buy plates elsewhere despite paying for them. Spoilt the surprise for my daughters 40th Birthday. Would not recommend!!

My colleagues bent over backwards to assist you, going out of their way to locate you the size of plate which was highly unusual, and always replying to you as soon as they had an answer for you. I was billed 50 pounds extra to change the first name I used to fill the form online after I was promised initially it would be done without charges. Made a mistake with husband first name as it was written differently on V5c. Called immediately I submitted the online form and was promised it would be changed however few days later , they insisted I pay 50 pounds extra before the number could be approved. Requested for refund and was told the 50pounds would still be deducted from my payment....

I have taken the time to investigate this and can see that when you phoned my colleague advised you that we would try with the DVLA with the details that you gave when you ordered it, and should it not be allowed then we would have to charge to correct your error. Unfortunately when we received your paperwork it wouldn't allow it, and therefore we gave you two options, one of which was free, but you chose to pay the option which cost £50. The transfer was then completed quickly for you and the number plate is on your vehicle. I'm sorry that you feel that because of the error that you made when ordering your registration online means that you believe that our service by my colleagues was poor, but I hope that you enjoy your number plate in the meantime. Specifically asked for the plates to be delivered to my works address not my home address as this was a 50th birthday surprise !! They were delivered to my home address so no surprise for my wife, thanks for that !! Just the simplest of things hey !!!!

Took longer than 15 working days but this i understand was due to DVLA striking but was not informed by PRIMO when the transfer was completed. I was pulled ove lr by the police. When i phoned PRIMO they then told me the transfer was complete

Hi Gareth, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. With it being a negative I have investigated this for you. I can see that the transfer was completed by the DVLA on the 7th July and we were notified on the 12th July, but their systems had updated to the new registration on the 10th, which is when you phoned and spoke to my colleague. From listening to the phone call with my colleague, you said that you were stopped due to an insurance issue. The Police wouldn't have stopped you for driving with the existing number plate on the vehicle on the 10th, as long as you hadn't changed your insurance over (something that we would have informed you of on the 12th). Unfortunately I can't understand why the police would have stopped you for an insurance issue, as that is out of our control - the only issue that I could possibly think of is if you had contacted your insurance company prior to the transfer being completed. bought 2 plates (£1000 +) ....1 for a family member as a surprise present !!!...typo error on my part but was charged £ 50 (admin charges) for changing names ????? Took money ....took 1 min to change ....and told me ....all good to go !!!! WTF

Good price including a pair of plates but the certificate didn’t arrive for weeks and when I chased it turned out they hadn’t bothered checking/ chasing DVLA until I had chased them. Meant big birthday reveal was missed and they didn’t do anything to compensate.

I got a message on 28th December to say that my plates had been manufactured and dispatched, it is now the 10th January and I still haven’t received them and they were sent 1st Class! I have left 2 messages and no one has got back to me. I received the certificate 6th January but still no plates.

Although my registration plates came within 2 days of ordering I am still waiting for my certificate as they arrive separately. Great on one hand that I have my plates but poor on the other hand as I can't use them until I receive my certificate!

Had nothing but trouble from buying the plates, they got lost once and customer service is a joke and there attitude stinks, apart from that they did get my plates on quick when they recieved my papers

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you only think our service to be 2/5 so I have investigated this for you. When you informed us that you hadn't received your plates I see that we said we would investigate the matter for you and come back to you asap. As soon as we were able to conclude our investigation a couple of hours later, after speaking to numerous parties, we organised the despatch of another set of plates for you as it would appear that Royal Mail had somehow lost them. Unfortunately a small minority of people are not appreciating the situation that the country, and indeed the world, is in at the moment. You then contacted us the following day asking for something that we couldn't provide in an instant due to the timeframes of DVLA processing. This was explained to you multiple times by my colleagues. When you sent your vehicle details to us the number plate was transferred onto your vehicle the very same day. I'm sorry that you feel that are service to be poor, but I can see that the only issue here was the fact Royal Mail, who is experiecing issues to the CV-19, delayed your parcel being delivered.
