When I first contacted Primo, I spoke with a lovely lady in sales who talked me through the whole process in a friendly and professional manner. However, I was a little unsure about what I had to send back once I had received my V5 and I contacted Primo again, just to clarify, I pressed for “after sales “ and had the misfortune to speak with the most patronising man I have EVER spoken to in my life, “it tells you on the paperwork this, it tells you on the paperwork that. It is no wonder this man is in after sales as he would never make a sale with his attitude and way of speaking to people. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for this “man”.

Not a bad service but if you want to pay on PayPal and want to spread the payments over 3 months which is a great option especially around Christmas time you have to have the plates made by Primo and you can’t change the address to have them sent somewhere else so a set of number plates get posted through your letter box ! Really ruins the surprise

Hi Julian, Thank you for your review. With regard to ensuring your items are posted to you address when you order on finance that is for your protection. Unfortunately the world has a number of dishonest people who would take any opportunity to apply for credit in your name, and if you don't receive anything in the post to your address you're not going to be aware of the finance application. Therefore the rules from finance providers are that they are posted to your address, to ensure that it is for the correct person. I'm sorry that you think this is poor service, but I hope that you understand the reasoning behind it when it's for your protection. Thanks The Primo Team
No different to the other plate seller's also no paying for 1st class postage on your plates mine took a week to come waste of £6.99! Never had that issue anywhere else with Royal Mail 1st class, but Primo blamed it on them anyway!!!

I can see that we confirmed to you that your plates were despatched to you on 01/11/2021 at 10:56 as we advised you via automated text and email at the time. I can then see that they were delivered to you on the 05 November 2021 at 13:46. I'm very sorry to hear that you experienced the delays that Royal Mail are experiencing sporadically at the moment. We do despatch as soon as we advise, as it is obviously in our best interests to get the parcels to you as quickly as possible. However I hope you enjoy your new registration for many years to come. Easy process, I am pleased with the efficiency of the company in general however I was spoken to as if I am stupid by a man when I telephoned for a query, this put me off ringing again so I didn’t. It could put someone off buying to be honest.

Everything went smoothly and would have gave 5 stars BUT the quality of the number plates provided by Primo wasn't good as the backing is pealing already and will get worse as time goes by (specialy in rainiy weather) The plate has only been on my car for 1 week... not happy because I will have to pay for a new rear plate.

Happy with plate & quick until purchase however was away & repeatedly asked not to deliver until I was back ! Ignored my request & now apparently left with neighbours ? But can’t check as there now away! Called customer service & only response was that I should contact Royal Mail! No card left by R.M so can’t trace ? & will have to wait till checked when there back ! Didn’t find C.S helpful which is shame! & if listen to my original request would have been a issue.

Overall ok. It was a shame that Primo put registrations on there site that are not always available as indeed we found out having paid for a registration that we really liked only to be told two days later that it wasnt available. So we purchased our next best registration from Primo in anticipation and it was available and the process was swift and straightforward

Very quick and reliable service but somehow missed on the number plate printing side, ended up with 2 square number plates even though I ordered one square plate by mistake even though my car needed 2 rectangle plates.

Thank you for your review. We have asked you to revise this review as the pictures you have sent us about the number plates clearly show you have ordered another set of plates from a 3rd party and not ourselves. The plates that you have ordered from the 3rd party are totally illegal. You complaint lays with them and not us. Please can you revise your review in light of this as your review should be against the 3rd party supplier and NOT ourselves. Thanks
For someone whose never had personalised plates I had a few questions along the way and felt that I was annoying the team by asking. The plates were purchased by my partners card but everything was addressed to her and not me though specified that I was the owner of the plates and car...even now when submitting it says submit as miss a who is my partner!! Infuriating!!

Over all a great service. I would have given a higher rating however we had the wrong plates issued twice. Thankfully they were fine third time. The customer service was great when emailing about the wrong plates and new ones were issued for next day deliver each time. Just a shame that it took three attempts to to get the correct plates. However it would not put me off using their service again.

Communication was good initially, received notifications that plates & certificate had been dispatched 22/2/2021 - cert arrived within 2 days but as of today 3/3/2021 still have not received the plates.

Excellent service with documentation, very disappointed with the style of the plates, because I wasn’t informed that due to paying for a personalised line that it would change the to shape of the number plate to none standard, it looks like an add on, I was buying these for my wife’s birthday present, I now have to rush to the local. Halfords to get a standard set made. To improve things they should show a picture of the final agreed order . People beware .

Hi Keith, Thank you for your review. Great to hear that you are happy with our service regarding your documentation and the process. With regard to the style of plates I can see that you placed your order online, and it does it say this on the description "Add a personal message to your number plate with our fantastic lipped plates. These plates have an additional 400mm x 15mm space underneath the number plate to add your own message. They are 100% legal as the message is not on the main part of your plate. Please note: This option is only valid on our standard size number plates. Max 25 characters - All characters will be Upper Case when printed". It also shows you a picture, and gives you the opportunity to increase the size of the picture so that you can see it further. I appreciate the feedback, but feel the negative part is unjustified in this instance. However, I hope you enjoy the registration for many years to come. Regards The Primo team
Service was great to start with. However, we had our plates on our car 48 hours before Primo messaged to say we could. Gov.uk was showing our old reg as void but we were still driving around with it. Not great if we’d had an accident/been pulled over by the police. Plates were delivered promptly at the start tho. Just need to call again now to confirm what happens next as not received any paperwork/certificates to show that we own the reg and for how long. The whole experience has been ok but could have been better.

Hi Grant, Your review had me worried there as I thought that we hadn't confirmed anything to you. However, I can see that we have. So to clarify, you put your number plates onto your vehicle BEFORE we advised you to, but you believe our service to be poor because of that? I can see that we received notification of the transfer on the 23rd and you were informed of this straight away. The email also informs you that your V5C will be through shortly which will have the registration on it. I'm struggling to understand why you believe the service to be poor when everything has been communicated to you, but you decided to put the plates on before we told you to? Too much delays in posting and receiving both plates and certificate. No screws and accessories to use to install plate.

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't receive your plates and certificate, but as I'm sure you are aware the Royal Mail were experiencing some delays throughout the country. I can also see that although the fixing kits was an option, you neglected to purchase that which is why you didn't get one. It's an option as not every customer requires one. I have few dissattification about private plate came in good timing and paper work were all good but plate itself writing between number and last 3 latters are big gap looking not very nice I looked many cars in road this is very big gap and I have requested to any help but not helped for re print.

Thank you for your review. We supplied you with fully legal number plates. The spacing cannot be changed by law, and the gap that you are referring to is a legal 33mm between the group of letters. I'm sorry that you think our service to be poor due to us having to follow the laws laid down by the government, but we cannot break the law for you. In the meantime I hope you enjoy your new plates. Quick and efficient via the web... But before buying I tried to get some information from their support team and was fobbed off by one of their representatives to go and look at their website, rather than simply answering my queries. If it wasn't for this it would be 5* - maybe some training is inorder for this particular gentleman...
