Very good location, very comfortable flat, good service. A bit noisy outside, due to closeness to Victoria Couch Station. Busses park in front of the building and keep the engine running. So this is a bit of inconvenience but other than that all good.

Good stay - I stayed in Apartment 6 at Sir John Lyon house - apartment was high specs, furnishings were comfortable, and requests responded to quickly and completed to high satisfaction - such as the sprucing up of the fridge and attending to the extraction fan issue. 1 thing for improvement - Within the Sir John Lyon House building, phone reception was poor - i had no signal at all on my O2 mobile, and even the house mobile phone provided on the EE network had patchy signal at best. I particularly commend the cleaning team on the 17th and 24th September. They did such a fantastic job. Please keep up the good work! Best regards, Jan Yeo

When I moved in the good sized studio apartment was no really a 'home from home' as advertised. By the time I checked-out it was. The staff organised rugs, pictures, a full length mirror, egg cups and whatever else I required for my temporary 'home' - well done to the whole team.

Generally good service, provided an umbrella upon request and also mail service after my check out. Two small points, upon my check in at 7am in the morning staff was not there at the apartment yet and since I do not have a phone I was waiting outside uncertain whether the staff would come. Also during my last week of stay, the house cleaning did not come and no explanation was given despite me raising this via email.

Hi Douglas, Thank you very much for taking the time to review Portland Brown; we are pleased that on the whole you enjoyed your stay with us. I have investigated your arrival with us and can see that we had confirmed a check-in time of 7.30am with yourself; I hope you were not made to wait any later than this but if this was the case please do let me know. We have over 65 locations across London and as a result rely on remote members of staff to welcome our guests. I apologise if us not being onsite at the earlier time caused you any concern. In regards to the cleaning in your final week, I have spoken to our Housekeeping Team and this appears to be an error on their part but there is no excuse for us not to reply to your email and I can only apologise. I hope these 2 issues have not affected your opinion of Portland Brown too much and hopefully we will welcome you back in the future. Best wishes, Francesca

Apartment was excellent, although the first one I was out wasn't suitable and was moved. Service and facilities were excellent.

The staff was accommodating when I needed to switch my start date and found me another apartment in a different location. They were responsive to my messages and calls. The weekly housekeeping was always to our satisfaction. The welcome pack was a nice touch at the start of our stay.

The team at Portland Brown were fantastic, always friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The appartments are well priced, in good locations, and any issues are dealt with straight away. Very happy to recommend, and would certainly use a Portland Brown apartment again.

Property is in a building that is simply too hot. In addition, the external noise late at night and delinquent behavior of local residents isn't consistent with the usual 'Portland Brown experience'. And I have stayed at least 8 months with PB over the last 2 years and never had any real cause to complain. You should sell this particular apartment.

I spent 6 weeks in a Portland Brown property. I was very impressed with the customer service and how responsive the team was to concerns. They consistently worked to satisfy our requests very promptly and I was very grateful for that. I would definitely recommend Portland Brown in the future.

i really enjoy my stay in portland brown though there is a little minor problems with the apartment. That's still acceptable. I would suggest the company can respond quickly to clients and also the housekeeping service can be more frequent.

Even though my initial stay had some teething issues especially around the lighting and internet, the response and support received from Portland Brown was overwhelmingly positive! The speed of response to calls and emails is good and there is always proper feedback on whatever complains or issues raised. I also like the idea of leaving simple notes and gifts for your guests whenever a festival or season is approaching - I think it gives a nice personal touch especially to foreigners like myself who may not be so aware of the upcoming festivities. A couple of areas of improvement to make the experience even better: - clothes hooks (behind the door?) and shoe racks would be much appreciated - as recycling is now introduced in the City, to separate out the bins for recyclables vs non-recyclables. I will definitely choose to stay with Portland Brown the next time I am in London!
