Just came back from volunteering at the Cheetah Centre in South Africa. It was an amazing, life-changing experience. Pod made the booking and pre-trip process so easy. Ellie sent very detailed information on what to expect, what to pack, helped arrange travel insurance and was very responsive to my questions. She even checked in with me while there to make sure all was going well. I have recommended Pod to others and will definitely use them in the future for other volunteer opportunities! Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience with my son in a great location - the wildlife centre attracts people from all over the world who strive towards providing the animals with a better way of life. Be prepared to 'do your bit' and get stuck in! Dirty, sweaty but rewarding. Highly recommend.

Prompt response to the emails. Good communication. Helpful staff. Should make clearer that taxi fee from airport to the Centre is not included on the price. For what I paid for the placement I felt it should have been included. Overall good experience although a bit disappointed when I found out it was cheaper booking it straight through WFFT.

Pod volunteer were fantastic, they supported me throughout no matter how many phone calls I made and emails that I sent! I would recommend this experience to everyone, you have no idea of the things that you will see, the memories that you will make and what you would be missing out on. Yes its scary, believe me prior to flying there I was terrified, this was the first trip that I made independently, but going through this company allowed me to have support with the whole process and to feel that what was waiting out there for me was completely safe. I am already planing my next pod volunteer adventure!!

The experience was amazing and so well organised by Pod Volunteer. My only issue is that the experience was a lot more expensive than just going directly through the organisation.

Traveling with POD was a way for me to venture out to a foreign place while knowing that I always had safety net if needed for travel questions, documents, etc. Erin was wonderful, and was always checking in to ensure that all was going well and nothing was needed. Everything was very organized, and left me to enjoy and embrace my experience with the elephants during my time in South Africa. I also made some travel changes on my trip home, and Sarah was fabulous in assisting and arranging for those sort of "last minute" changes to my itinerary. Overall, it was a blessing to work with POD- I felt safe, informed, and at ease traveling with their guidance!

Overall, I had a wonderful trip and experience! The food was great, I learned so much more about the Amazon than I expected and the staff was excellent. I felt mostly prepared for the trip, but feel like Pod could have done more to distinguish themselves from amongst other volunteer programs. Other volunteers that I worked with knew how many other people were in our volunteer group, who was picking them up from the airport, and had a list of items sold at the store within the Manu Learning Center and had the prices for the items listed as well prior to their departures. However, I felt secure planning this trip through Pod and would be willing to partake in another program with Pod in the future.

I really do not have the words to describe how much fun we had on this trip. The education was fantastic, the people were great, and the location was incredible. Needless to say, we will be volunteering with POD again soon.

PoD is fantastic! This was my second year to volunteer with PoD and I will do it again. Erin is great and makes sure you are fully prepared before you go and checks on you during placement. This year I decided to change my travel plans home and Sarah was so helpful changing my airline tickets and even finding a hotel for me. I feel safe traveling the world with PoD and wouldn't do it any other way.

PoD was very supportive throughout the whole volunteering process (before, during and after). They answered all questions I had, and fully prepared me for my volunteering experience

This is an amazing project, set up by a dedicated and hard-working man, helping kids that really need it. The organisation of it is great and the kids are brilliant and very grateful for any help. It is useful to have some Spanish phrases and words under your belt as it helps to communicate to the students and the other Peruvian volunteers but, if you don't know any Spanish, they are very patient and understanding. Aside from the volunteering, the social side of the flat members is great and there are so many things to enjoy in that part of Peru, especially if you like the outdoors.

I don't know how I made it this far without taking the time to go explore the world while doing good. Thank god for POD. Not only did they put my mind at ease but all my friends and families minds as I traveled to South Africa to work with monkeys and elephants. Erin and Ellie always responded kindly (no matter how ignorant my questions were) and were patient with me as I figured things out. They laid out everything necessary for me to know and made sure I was safe and all set for my trip. So much so that I never responded to their emails once I was there because I was too damn happy to look at my phone. Thanks to the POD team!

Belize was SO amazing. The culture and the experience was so different from anything I've seen in the US. It was eye opening. I loved working with the animals in the Belize Zoo and seeing all the hard work he keepers had to put in to care for the animals. The work was hard but very rewarding. Plus the keepers were so nice. I think I'm going to miss them the most

I participated in the Thailand Marine Conservation Volunteering program. Learning to dive was a fun and rewarding experience, as was gaining insight and some practical experience in conservation practices such as crown of thorns collection, reef surveys and coral restoration. I felt it probably would have been a much better investment for longer periods. I'd recommend a minimum three weeks; you spend one week learning to dive (or I did anyway), and go from there. Two weeks definitely wasn't enough for the full experience; I'd learn a skill on one dive then never get to use it again (and who ever does things right the first time :P). The staff were knowledgeable and always happy to answer questions, sometimes in the space of time it took me to get a tan. Accommodation has a nice view, shower and soap, but I'd STRONGLY suggest bringing your own mosquito net, as I didn't have one, and you really need to leave the glass doors open to let in the cool air at night. Bloody hot! Beautiful area and sights, good experience. Watch out for the fruit loops that think we came from Mars.

I was initially hesitant about travelling overseas by myself but Pod Volunteer organised everything very quickly and efficiently despite being on the other side of the world. They answered all my queries and had very thorough and relevant information for each placement which made me feel more confident knowing what i was going to experience.

Pod volunteer is very helpful with anything you want to know. I've been volunteering now for 4 months with a few projects being organised through them and they are great if you need security with your bookings and you are only dealing with people who know the projects inside out and the projects all need volunteers so far I've had absolutely no problems and would happily book through them again.

A life changing experience, I had an amazing time that I will never forget. I volunteered on the teaching and conservation projects in Madagascar and my only regret is that I didn't stay longer
