Particularly challenging experience due to no pre-installation survey; emails and having to send photos is a restrictive way for customers to understand what is required. The process was drawn out and involved many moving goal posts of what we needed to do, but no help was provided just complicated instructions!

Frustrating having to have to do an assessment and video prior to installation. Which was of no help as the engineer came up with a muchbetter solution than our best guess video assessment. This could have been avoided with a face to face pre installment assessment which would also identified modifications needed to our electric meter tails. Delays in activating our charger post installation due to necessary replacement of meter tails (see above) and there are still ongoing problems connecting charger to Wi-Fi

The order process was abysmal in that non of the caveats were explained prior to ordering. For example there was no explanation of what complications may arise if a looped supply was present and the order process implies an install will happen within two weeks but even without complications this was extremely unlikely. As I was on a looped supply I did hit issues that there resolved by myself and northern power grid within 3 days but Pod Point waited on the information for nearly a month. It was only through chasing that this was discovered. The delay would potentially have been even longer! I have no complaints about the install and the installer though, the final stage was done extremely professionally and the installer was quick, thorough, friendly and a credit to a company that could do better in their explanation of things during the sales process, issues resolution and planning departments.

Very easy ordering process and installation date was much sooner than expected - within 3 days of submitting all the required information. However the installer was not so good - was told it would take 2-3 hours but he actually took 7. I wasn't convinced he knew what he was doing - I had to tell him very obvious things like how and where to route the cable and he had to contact his manager about everything. He was at my house for 3 hours before he started the installation. He had to send a video to his manager and because signal is poor I asked if he wanted the Wi-Fi code - he said no and instead stood outside for 30 mins waiting for it to send. Then after an hour I asked if he had a response to which the reply was no and I had to then suggest to him maybe a phone call might be quicker?! Just a very slow installation and I had to miss a few meetings as I wasn't expecting it to take all day. However everything seems to work which is the most important thing.

Paid in April. Installed in October. Not very good. This was due to Podpoint deciding we had a looped electricity supply which needed attendance by Elec supply Co. This was wrong. The supply was not looped. Wasted much time on this error. When ordering the unit online it was not very clear that a 3-phase supply was required for the fastest charger so order was wrong. A refund to me took a number of reminders. However, on the plus side, when the contractor arrived to fit the unit he was very efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent.

Despite the positive reviews on Trustpilot, we were not impressed at all with the service provided by Pod Point. Between having to make repeated requests to have someone come and do an on site survey, to then get follow up questions after the survey asking us if we'd be getting someone to cement the lollipod in and if we could assess if the required cables for the lollipod would fit into our existing underground conduit - all which occurred after the on site survey had been done where installation of a lollipod had been discussed, quoted for and agreed upon, including the fact that if the electrician couldn't fit the cables through the conduit then we would revert to having the charger installed on the side of the house. We were then told via email there'd be an additional cost for groundworks! Why would you provide a quote to install a lollipod without including the required groundwork? Anyway we just gave up and had the pod installed on the house. The electrician was very efficient and helpful which is the only reason I've given 2 stars. Wouldn't recommend anyone use your service and would suggest people shop around for a local installer which we should have done.

Communication poor from the start. I required groundworks to be carried out before my charger could be installed. I received a specification from Pod Point which stated what was required and had the groundworks completed as per the specification I was sent, to be told that it was wrong and further works would be required. Trying to contact the person I was dealing with to book (re-book several times) an installation was impossible and I was left waiting for weeks before I received an appointment. From receiving my car to having the charger installed was over 3 months, if it wasn't for the charger being included in my lease I would have gone with someone else.

Too many demands. Would be much easier if PodPoint did prep work. It needed PodPoint electrician and my electrician to get together to agree required works, which were much simpler than PodPoint initial demands. I have also been awaiting a refund since the beginning of August as the website did not state that 3 phase was required for 22kW. That is disgraceful. Happy with the installation.

The original advertisement simply asked what you wanted out of three size charging points. Money was exchanged and then I was asked to do a survey, which would be beyond a lot of people. I suggest the company should do the survey because I couldn’t have what I paid for due to a technical issue. The overpayment was returned. When the engineer arrived he provided an excellent installation that saved the day. Some of the issues might of been due to me living on the Isle of Wight, however the communication could of been better.

I have contacted Podpoint about the report and they've said its been resolved where it hasn't, its still shows the old Tariff of 28p where the tariff is set at 35.67 pence

Whilst I now have a well fitted and working (fingers crossed) charger this process has been the most stressful and frustrating experience of my life apart from moving house! I knew from the outset that my installation would not be as straightforward as some so back in May submitted drawings, photographs and measurements to ensure that installation was possible prior to ordering an electric vehicle. I received a positive assurance but had a short survey been carried out at this point all future problems could have been avoided. Instead I had an initial exchange of 10 or so emails mainly asking for information already provided. Following my frustrated telephone call the matter was taken control of by a project manager who, although making some mistakes, was always polite and helpful and I was told that everything was in order by the end of July. An installation date toward the end of September was fixed to coincide with the car’s arrival. Two weeks, four visits, a broken meter (and my almost total meltdown) from the appointed date the charger was installed and working. In reality had a survey been carried out upfront or even at the time of the first installers visit the charger would have been fitted in one attempt. An exchange of between 20 and 30 (time consuming) emails could also have been avoided.

Very little communication. Installer would not accept any requests or deviate from their own agenda. All customer requests and fitted how the installer wanted, not me (the customer)

Process has been unsatisfactory and communication terrible. After completing forms and paying for a home charging point we heard nothing to inform us of the next step or timing. After numerous calls, and promises of 'somebody will contact you' but never did! A young lady, Isy, finally escalated it and followed up to check whether we had heard from the installers. Fitter was efficient and helpful

Process of ordering was straight forward. I was hesitant to order as you cannot see lead time from purchasing to installation but turnaround is very quick compared to other suppliers (1 week vs Shells 6 months). Engineer who completed the installation did a professional job however, I have a charging unit that does not work. Unable to charge vehicle (well, slight lie it intermittently charges at random times even though it’s displaying a fault), unit unable to clamp cable and have had lots of issues connecting to the app (resolved by Tech support). Now waiting for the Technician to visit to sort out the issues which is will be in two weeks. So far a very unhappy customer as the box has only just been installed.

Faulty - had to contact Pod Point after the installer had been as it came up with fault when I tried to charge the car. Turns out that there is a dodgy clip which controls the electric current that had to be disabled. Now waiting 3/4 days for another installer to fix. App is also not very good - keeps saying my pod isn’t connected so can’t see how much the charge is costing me

The product was promoted by Vauxhall (Robins & Day) but the information they provided was only the tip of the iceberg as far as cost was concerned. It gradually became apparent that there were a lot of additional costs for groundworks (exorbitant) and extra cable and the simple expedient of installing a locking mechanism (which was only mentioned by the fitter as the installation was nearly complete). Generally, communication on the phone was patchy. A survey on the ground was essential as the questionnaire process was not really workable in our case, but this was not offered and I had to suggest it.

Communications to orgsnise the site survey snc first installation date were good, however unfortunately despite an in person site survey the correct parts were not available on the day of installation and therefore installation was delayed by 10 days. The installer was very pleasant and turned up on time on all 3 visits.

Unreliable equipment, scheduled charging fails on a regular cadence meaning my car isn’t being charged overnight during the cheaper tariff. PodPoint CS is non existent, unable to reach anyone except through email and it takes weeks to get responses.

Not straightforward, anything deviation from standard (that is very tight) incurs additional cost and delays installation, once this was resolved actual installation was straightforward
