After submitting various images of my RCD, wall position, route etc. I was told the existing supply wasnt good enough (needed a wider cable - 10mm). This was ordered. I was then told that i needed a new RCD and breaker (was AC, A needed) and that i needed to employ an electrician to do this prior to Podpoint commissioning. I paid for this (£300+). When the Podpoint installer came, he said that i didnt need that as they install a new RCD/Breaker outside of my consumer unit anyway. I still havent had a satisfactory response from Podpoint about this. Im hugly dissapointed that i have wasted a significant amount of money.

The scheduling process is horribly slow as it's all done by email. Took days for scheduler to come back to me on any queries and eventually a pre installation survey was offered but only after I pushed for it. Still waiting for a receipted invoice from the finance department. Installer on the day was excellent though.

Unfortunately my experience with this company was absolutely terrible. Nobody communicates with each other therefore nobody has a clue what is going on. Appointments get booked for certain times and then the engineer turns up hours later. Was booked in for pod to be installed after paying additional costs for materials then engineer refused to do it. It truly was a living nightmare. By the time I’d finished with this company I wished I never brought an electric car.

Extremely unprofessional has not been working from the time of installation. Has been send too and fro but issue not be solved. Has not been able to use the charger.

Absolutely shocking experience. It took 4 months from providing the info to getting an install due to several Pod Point errors. Struggled getting a call back most days and took a lot of time getting through to them. Expected much better unfortunately. Now that the Government Grant has finished - would NOT recommend using Pod Point.

A lot of stress and hassle arranging to get this installed. The installation on the day was fantastic, quick and neat.

My whole experience with Pod Point was awful. Very stressful and cost money and time having to keep ringing up. Nobody replying to messages. Had to get taxi’s because car trickle charging wasn’t quick enough. I lost count of the phone calls I made each lasting a minimum of 45 mins. The Anna who was supposed to be my manager didn’t seem to exist. There was no explanation to anything. Every time I was told everything was fine I was told much later there was more to be done.

Awful experience, would recommend people go to other companies. Had 3 cancelled install dates, poor communication beforehand. Still waiting for admin to be completed so I can complete app set up.

If I could leave a lower score than 1 I would. We decided to lay the cable ourselves to ensure it was where we wanted it and very glad we did because the standard of work that Pod Point carried out was sub standard and dangerous. The engineer who came drilled a hole in the consumer unit to fit a cable and then didn’t use this hole. The consumer unit was then left with this open hole into which you can insert your finger, this hole is directly below the buzz bar so electrocution would occur if this was done. The hole that was eventually used has not got a grommet or consumer unit cable gland leaving a gap in excess of 5mm. The external pod point unit is supposed to be a weather proof box as explained in their own installation guide. Upon closer inspection where the cable enters the external unit no water proof grommet has been installed leaving the inside open to flooding from rain water. There are other parts of the ordering and booking experience that leaves a lot to be desired. Regarding the significant health and safety faults highlighted above we have e-mailed Pod Point making it clear in the subject field that there is a significant health and safety risk and 24 hours later will still haven’t had a response

Very poor upfront explanations of getting EV charge point. No site visits, client left to assess very technical points and assumed I was a qualified electrician ! Loads of jargon used. At no time did PP explain this at outset. Ordered in November and installed last day of March. PP at zero notice cancelled 2 scheduled installs without explanation or a courtesy call. Just an email without apology. Took days off work to be available ! Rescheduling gaps were weeks apart with no updates. 1st install visit from EDF meant had to find an electrician to change RCD which PP could have spotted from pics provided months ago. Would not recommend unless site visits provided at outset.

Ordered in November, the charger was fitted in the middle of March. All the delays were due to Pod Point, as I completed their forms immediately. At the first visit in February the fitter, incorrectly, rejected the earth arrangements (not required as we have plastic utility pipes). This cost me extra expense to fit pointless earthing. At the second visit in March the job was completed, although a lot of drilling dust was left. The charger works fine now.

The whole process with Podpoint was painful. We had problems contacting them or getting a reply. On the plus side, the Pod was installed quickly and competently once a date was arranged.

Installation process was shambolic with no communication between office and install teams. Had 3-4 visits to complete install. Compensation ultimately as recognition of poor service.offered. Now podpoint has been out of action for 5 weeks, unresolved following 2 visits. Compensation offered again due to poor service. Everyone very polite when you deal with them but a total disconnect between the office and technical teams resulting in worst service I have experienced from any company.

No issue with the 2 blokes who fitted the charger, even though a 2nd visit was required due to some components missing when he opened the box with the charger. A bit inconvenient having to be in another day but not the installers fault. The problems are with the office, the communication is rubbish. Every time I rang to chase when the install would be finished (after first visit) I was told 'someone will ring you back' - no one ever rang back and I rang 5 days in a row, it's just lip service to get you off the phone.

Bad customer service experience! They sent me emails and wrote the best and quickest way is to reply to the email. I did that and no response from them. Sent several emails more and still no response from Pod Point. Called and was on hold for about an hour. All I wanted was an update on my application. Eventually the installation was done and its never worked properly, again no reply to my emails. 3 weeks on and can't get them to come down.
