Beef shin was delicious- but very disappointed with the chicken sausages - they were tiny in size not like on the web site, very dry when cooked and full of palm/vegetable oil 😔

Hi Charlotte, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the beef shin, but I’m truly sorry to learn that the chicken sausages didn’t meet your expectations. We strive for quality across all our products, and your comments about the size and texture are valuable for us. I assure you that we’ll only use sustainably sourced palm/vegetable oil in the sausages. We will consider the size and look into this matter to ensure we're delivering the best possible experience for our customers. We appreciate your input, and I hope you'll give us another chance in the future. Best wishes, Liz

Anticipation of excellent quality sustainable products and quality butchery.. I have bought all my meat for Christmas and the New Year, which included a 1.5Kg unsmoked Gammon joint. Disappointment. As recommended, I had the joint soaking overnight and hob cooked it this morning. Then removed string, at which point it fell apart. I had expected it to be a deboned gammon as shown in the attached website photo, not two different pieces held together by the string. After removing the rind and the fat attached to it, I was left with 815 gm before the roasting. Taste. Excellent tasting meat. Shame about the quality of the butchery. As an aside, I notice that all the cooked ham on offer has the large gammon cut, not the two piece I recieved. I am hoping for better with the deboned stuffed chicken tomorrow, and the boned and rolled rib of beef on New Year's Day

Two weeks ago my delivery was sent to the wrong address and by the time I received it the contents had defrosted. I received no apology from Pipers Farm, nor any offer of recompense. Julia Watts

Had my first delivery last week and was happy with the cuts of the meat, yet I haven't cooked them yet. What I did cook though was their pre made pies and I was very disappointed às I thought this company only supplied healthy foods, e.g no bovaer in the animal feed, so they say, yet they add monosodium glutamate to their pies, this is labelled on their boxes. Monosodium glutamate is a toxic flavour enhancer and does not need to be used. You should make this common knowledge before people purchase your pre made pies as this additive can make people ill, my mother is violently sick and gets migraines if she eats this so unfortunately these pies will be going straight in the bin... waste of my money so will be buying elsewhere from now on!

We ordered 6 steak pies . No issues with the food itself but the pies did not leave the aluminium foil and therefore had to be spooned out which resulted in poor presentation to the dinner plate .

Regrettably the gammon topside joint arrived with the fat and rind separated and tied on top which ended up being discarded. This type of joint does not give itself to easy carving. The joint was tough and tender in parts and in my opinion had little taste and I would not purchase again

We had the cheese delivered for a friend for his 80 th birthday. He was very pleased . However I told him what time it was being delivered so he and his wife stayed in for the time it was due then went out and left the the porch open for delivery, not something they usually do because of living in an expensive property and easier to break in . I phoned on the night did it arrive "No" I was told .Later on the night when the neighbour came home they came round with the cheese which was addressed correctly but left on their step . Very disappointed with the delivery and a little worrying!

5-star meat, 1-star customer service. I wanted some lamb fillets for a special dinner I had planned, and Pipers Farm had a lovely option. I will say, we ate the lamb last night and it was lovely. The other cuts I got are similarly well-packaged and look fantastic quality. HOWEVER, I ordered in advance as my wife and I were going away for our anniversary, so I wanted to get the meat ordered before we left. Unlike most other online butchers, Pipers did not give me a delivery date option - it just immediately processed the order. This may have been my own fault, but I fired off an e-mail within 10 minutes asking them to confirm a delivery date. 2 days later, I received a shipment notification and I followed up AGAIN, asking for them to stop the delivery. I received a delivery notification the following day...I sent another e-mail, asking for a refund as the meat would be sitting outside. In the end, the wife and I cut our trip short to get home earlier to get the meat off the doorstep. 3 emails, all of which have been totally ignored by their customer services team, even a week later. Good meat means nothing if they refuse to speak with their customers.

Wasn't obvious from the website that everything is frozen, I thought I was buyng fresh and it only explains this hidden away on the product pages. The pork tastes great, but its all individually wrapped in plastic and then in another plastic bag, I feel the packaging is over the top. The sausages have to be the smallest I've seen. I thought i'd give pipers a go having used a lot of online butchers and if I'm being honest I will go back to them rather than order from Pipers again.

Dear Dan, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback about your experience with Pipers Farm. We truly appreciate your honesty and for bringing these issues to our attention. Firstly, we apologize for any confusion regarding the frozen nature of our products. We understand that it wasn't clearly stated on our website and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. We will definitely take your feedback into consideration and work on making this information more prominent for our customers. In regards to plastic packaging, we’ve removed as much packaging as possible, you won’t find any plastic lurking in our boxes where it isn’t absolutely necessary. For any plastic we use we ensure that we use the lowest grade plastic possible in order to reduce our usage. Unfortunately, we can’t do without plastic-like material completely; without it, your food would not be able to be stored in the freezer leading to an increased rate of it going ‘off’ and being wasted, resulting in massive food waste.. We will review our packaging practices and explore more sustainable alternatives without compromising on product quality. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the taste of our pork. However, we regret that the size of our sausages did not meet your expectations. Breakfast sausages are our smaller size sausages and we do have larger sausages available, such as out Plain pork sausages. Your custom is valued, and we appreciate your willingness to provide feedback. We would love to hear more from you on how we can make things better and improve your overall experience with Pipers Farm. Please feel free to share any additional suggestions or concerns. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback. We are committed to continuously improving our services, and your input is incredibly important to us. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future. Warm regards, Liz Pipers Farm Customer Support Team

I have made several purchases from Piper’s Farm and my experience is normally quite good and quality of the product is high. However, the courier did not deliver to me but another location and when my order didn’t arrive I could get no assistance from them or Piper as it was after hours. Then when the next business day arrived I confirmed that the courier did not deliver my order and instead of working out a reimbursement or replacement I was told I needed to wait a whole week! For the courier to complete an investigation to confirm whether or not I can actually get my money back. I found this particularly disappointing as the image and location of the delivery was NOT my flat and that this is a consumable items regardless of the investigation there is no way I could accept the order now. And as this is food and plans were made with it, truly what am I supposed to do with it now?

Very disappointed with the ready meals i ordered. Considering that they are made using grass fed meats etc I blindly trusted the other ingredients and purchased about £80 worth of meals. I was very disappointed to find seed oils in the ingredients when they arrived. Surely anyone who is looking for a properly healthy version of ready meals would not be happy eating seed oils? A great way to ruin good healthy meals. Obviously I can't get a refund as I should have checked the ingredients on the site. I just assumed a certain (basic) level of knowledge about food and a certain level of integrity. More fool me.

Well since you ask, I'll write here what I wrote at Trustpilot. No delivery of Easter order due, I'm told to DPD. However looking back through the feedback, this has been ongoing for years. Tale after tale of no Christmas/New Year deliveries, no communication, deleted social media attempts at communication. Well I suppose I was lucky. When there was no DPD text at 11.30am I emailed Piper's Farm. No ansa. I then phoned no ansa. Then, however I did get an email saying my food for Easter Sunday (the next day) would not be coming. I say this might be considered lucky because someone from Pipers farm at least did get back to me so I had time to dash out and get a replacement Easter meal. And the suggested recompense for ruining our Easter? A token for fifty quid off my next shop which is a big assumption -that I ever want to shop with them again! Come on Pipers Farm you need to stop blaming DPD. Yes they're rubbish but you keep on using them, knowing as sure as eggs is eggs you will be letting some customers down somewhere, every single high-day or holiday. Its such a shame because I want to buy sustainably and from nose to tail, but if you won't address issues with your delivery company you are not doing what you say on the tin. Reliable delivery is crucial to your business model and in this respect you are failing. I gave you 2 not 1 star because I wish you better than you are, and hope hope HOPE you will adapt and learn from the evidence. The same thing goes wrong again and again. Please wake up and smell the coffee.

I usually love Piper's Farm, but it has expanded so much I feel like there's no transparency about the fact that it's actually a network of farms rather than just supplying from 1 farm. There's also a ton of plastic (which is hard to prevent!) and it's soft plastic, which is difficult to recycle. Also, I can tell the company is starting to cut corners and engaging in some sandbaggery. I used to love the chicken sausages, but now the recipe has changed and is using non-hydrogenated vegetable oil, including sunflower oil, rice flour, and palm oil. I can taste the difference - it's now sticky and claggy - not to mention the much higher food miles now that it's using ingredients imported from very far away. I much preferred when they included pork fat instead. This is really disappointing! I'm planning to scale back my purchase of Pipers Farm goods.

I have always leaned on farm shops for our organic and grass-fed meat needs. This time around I decided to give Pipers Farm a whirl, drawn in by the family favourites box which seemed like a perfect fit for our family, especially with two boys who are always hungry. The delivery was on point - quick and hassle-free. But when we dove into the box, things started to unravel. Considering what we paid, the return on investment just wasn't there. The portions were on the smaller side the taste was lacking, and the meat was surprisingly tough. Overall, it was a letdown.
