Fabulous food and a great selection. We've had two Xmas orders now plus a mutton box. Everything has been delicious. The Ultimate Xmas turkey is a revelation. It's so easy to prep & cook and takes all the stress out of Xmas day; 1hr in the oven, rest, carve and enjoy! The chipolatas were also delicious as was the stock for the gravy. The cheeses were some of the best we've ever had. So creamy and delicious. As for the chutneys, the hot apple and chilli one is packed full of flavour but be warned, it's not for the faint-hearted, but by jolly it's good! We thoroughly recommend Pipers Farm and will continue to use.

I keep going back to Pipers Farm for a few reasons, the quality of the meat ( which is amazing) best beef I have ever tasted everyone comments on how flavourful and tender it is, ditto for the ham, the ethical way the animals are raised, the reliability of delivery

The meat we have eaten so far ( mutton shoulder for Christmas dinner) was excellent. The meat was well packaged and still frozen when it arrived. It was a day late arriving and I would have appreciated a message from you to explain the delay.

Turkey meat was excellent. The breast roll was well prepared and delicious. The Turkey stock was a watery rather poor effort of a stock. Not gelatinous at all, nor flavourful.

Delicious products, perfect instructions/guidance, and tasty ideas from some very inventive chefs they collaborate with. Great ethos for sustainability and the way food should be.

Just had a beautiful Christmas meal courtesy of Pipers Farm, an outstanding Cockerel with oodles of flavour and proper texture - exactly like meat should be. I've had poultry before from Pipers and the stock that's produced is rich and jelly like, perfect for risottos which we will be having later in the week. Goes without saying the ordering/delivery all very efficient and straightforward

Superb! The Bronze turkey we had went in the oven just as it was with a little salt. Absolutely delicious, moist, and juices made incredible gravy. A really excellent quality bird delivered on time right to my door. I am very happy to pay the right price for quality well reared meat that I will use down to the last bone. Very good service, quick, friendly communication. Thank you

Beef was delicious. It is expensive- but worth it. Cooking instructions on the website we’re not easy to find and it would be good to receive these with the booklet.

We have been ordering meat from here for Xmas for the last 4 years and it never fails us. The quality is excellent, the price reasonable and delivery reliable. We will continue to order from here in the future.

Turkey Leg was wonderful. With only eight around our table this Christmas, we ordered a 1.7kg turkey leg, although I'd never cooked just a turkey leg before. Along with other stuff in the order, it was delivered efficiently well before Christmas, so I froze it, then on Christmas Eve, I thawed it for a few hours in cold water. (I wished that I had actually unpacked the leg and vacuum-sealed it before freezing, as the bag floated due to air inside.) Thanks to the Pipers Farm cooking suggestions, I decided indeed to cook it slow and low. However, I couldn't see how cooking at just 100C would ever brown the meat and looked at other recipes online, many of which suggested 150C and none suggested any lower than that. I used a covered enamel pot and strewed the bottom with coarsely chopped leek (half a small stick), red onions (two medium-sized, quartered), yellow, orange and red peppers (half of each in one-inch pieces), and a few small bits of celery. I then added half a bottle of shop-bought Gluhwein (like mulled wine but sweeter). I dabbed the chilled leg dry and browned both sides of the leg in a wok with hot oil. After it had cooled a little, I smeared it with a rub of maple syrup and wholegrain mustard before putting it on a shallow rack in the pot, skin side up and leaving it in the 150C oven for three and a half hours, after which I turned it over and back again, basting it in the process, inspected it and seeing that it still looked quite pale. Back in the oven, I increased the temperature to 160C. After another two and a half hours, it was checked again and the meat was falling off the bone. However, I shoved it back in the oven for another half hour before taking the pot out to rest for two hours without taking off the lid. When ready to attack it, the bones and skin just came away easily, leaving beautiful smelling and looking red meat, nicely browned. I didn't shred with forks but used disposable gloves to pull it into pieces by hand, there only being two one-inch pieces of tendon to discard, the rest of the tendons having nicely disintegrated. It was an absolute success and is going to appear on the menu again and certainly is what we will plan for next American thanksgiving and Christmas. Friends and family rated it as the most delicious turkey ever.

Delicious chicken for Christmas and we’ll be having pigs in blankets and beef wellington for New Year. The chicken was so tender and moist and tasted delicious. Delivery was on time and everything was packed beautifully.

Very happy again with Turkey and delivery my only issue would be the dressing have to take time to pick out the last few quills on the turkey.

All the food items were very good quality, tasted great, and reflected the way the animals were reared. Will order again. Only concern, freezing some of the meat when delivered.

I bought a turkey leg, a duck and lardo. First of all the meat arrived well wrapped and still frozen first thing in the morning of the delivery date. I made confit turkey leg for Christmas, which was delicious. I have not cooked the duck yet. I would prefer the lardo in a block to slice myself or more thinly sliced but either way it just melts. I will definitely buy from Piper's Farm again
