We chose Petair to transport our cat from the UK to Australia. We were undecided about putting our cat through the stresses of relocating, but thanks to the thorough and professional service provided by our Petair agent, the moving process was smooth and hassle-free. We would highly recommend the services of Petair, and would definitely use the service again.

Making the life change to move to live in South Africa was a big decision as was the decision to use a company to transport our two cats Spottie and Freddie. I am so pleased I decided to use Petair, they provide me with all the information I needed about how the boys would travel to South Africa. I made a number of calls to ask questions and check what I needed to do and each time the staff were patient and informative and reassuring about how they would be transported. Thank you so much Petair, Freddie & Spottie arrived and after sleeping off their journey and hiding in a safe place at their new home for a while, soon settled and began to enjoy their new life. It is a difficult decision to hand over your cats and have no idea what happens to them until you see them at the other end. Knowing my cats, they were a little nervous when we collected them, which is to be expected, but arrived, safe, well and in great condition. Thank you so much Petair for making what could be a stressful situation stress free.

Ian who collected our cats understood how traumatic the process was for us as well as for the cats. He texted to keep me informed and even sent me a photo of them together on the overnight stay. It did take a few days for us to coax them out from under the bed but they are both happy and settled noe

They provided an excellent service. I had no idea where to even start with flying my dog from England to Dubai, but they outlined everything and planned everything so that it all went smoothly. If I had any questions or problems they replied quickly and were incredibly helpful.

Petair was in constant communication with us, which took away a lot of the stress of flying our dogs overseas. When Pete picked up our dogs, he was very friendly and the dogs took to him right away. I would highly recommend Petair!

All the Petair staff we dealt with in the UK and Australia were very helpful and knowledable about the process, they took a lot of stess out of the situation. Loved the updates we recieved whilst Pippin was in transit. Pippin arrived with us about three weeks and is settling in really well, I am sure that is because she was looked after so well whilst travelling.

Once I'd completed the paperwork, petair really took everything else off my hands. They made the process simple and sent me regular updates. When Dot (our dog) was in transit from London to Auckland they sent regular messages to say she'd been checked in/had arrived half way etc. They even sent pictures. Well done petair! Only reason the score isn't 5/5 is that I got passed around the houses a bit in the early stages and it would have been nice to just deal with one person. Otherwise, we were very happy!

Really liked this service. They communicated the whole way, picked up my pup, got her there in great condition and for half the price of the other guys. Just great. They could have been a little better with communication. No one told me WHERE I had to pick her up, just at Heathrow at a certain time. Turns out I needed to go to a very specific Cargo hold and had to find that out when I arrived at Heathrow Airport. Ah well. But beyond that, everything went smoothly and my pup is back home and I'm so happy.

I have had extensive emails with Petair UK about my experience, and want to disclose they completely disagree with this statement. I will endeavor to be objective. I was quoted the basic service to transfer my dog from London to Tampa, FL. I feel the basic service is just that and on reflection would have gone with the lowest cost provider. I have 2 main issues. I was told, after asking, that I would be notified when my dog was on board. I was notified after take off (heard on arrival) which defeated the purpose. I was later told that such a notification was impossible, so please be advised of this. On arrival in Tampa, British Airways made a mistake and did not clear my dog, delaying release an extra 1.5 hours. I was lied to and told it was due to a missing rabies certificate. I let PetAir know this and they made it clear that their responsibility ends once the dog is checked in for the flight. I assumed, wrongly, there would be some coordination with the arrival process, such as a call that such and such dog is on its way. Be advised, you need to do all the legwork and coordination with the arrival process. One other matter that I had extensive dialogue with PetAir on was the need for my dog to have eye drops. I first was told maybe the animal reception at Gatwick could do this, but this was not certain. I called animal reception myself and found they were more than willing. I also wanted to wait until the last possible moment to turn the dog over to animal reception. Animal reception said 3 hours before the flight. PetAir said 4, but then agreed to 3.5 hours. They said I was risking the dog missing the flight. Please know that their vets were not going to give the eye drops. It was the animal reception team. After discussion with my vet, I opted to give the eye drops at the last moment and not take any chances. In extensive discussion PetAir has repeatedly told me they disagree with all that I have said here. I think you as the consumer need to be 100% aware of the limitations of this service and be proactive in arranging the arrival of your pet. PetAir has repeatedly told me I received value added service in response to my claim that I did not and that if I had to do it again, I would go with the low cost provider. I have transported my pet three times before without a service. This time, the airline, British Airways, required it. Also, I believe PetAir told me all airlines out of the UK required a pet service to transport your pet, but I think United still lets you arrange it yourself. We used British Airways as it was the only direct flight. I did not ask for any money back or claim my dog's health was impaired. She was indeed fine. I am happy to share any of the email dialogue with PetAir UK if desired.

Hi. We are really sorry and saddened that you are unhappy with us, but we did work really hard to help you and Trudi. BA operate this route and do require a booking through an agent. United also do NOT accept bookings from private clients - unless you are travelling on military orders. We made contact with you when Trudi was checked in safely and also we contacted you after she was confirmed as taken off - after all we cant let you know she has taken off until she has actually taken off! You have seen the email from the Animal Reception Centre where they say that they will accept a pet at 3 hours as "an absolute minimum but prefer check in at 4 hours before". They are their own separate business contracted by BA to assist with pet check ins at Gatwick. We are beholden to their rules/wishes. In terms of collection/clearance in Tampa. We explain this can take up to 4 hours. In UK it takes 4-6 hours, in Dubai it can take around 6-8 hours. We offer to assist with the clearance and you did not request this and in our contract to you we explain a list of what we include and what we dont include (and in the not included list is "clearance in USA"). Here is a list of what we do which lower cost pet shippers do not do: Liaise with your vets to ensure that flight is not going to worsen a medical condition Meet you and your pets at the airport Check your dog's crate is adequate Supply bedding, bowls, funnels Supply contact details for the collection desk at destination Supply a correctly worded health certification document Charge around getting a new crate, when the one supplied is not ok Not charge extortionate rebooking fees if our clients' circumstances change Subscribe to reviews forums so clients can see honest and genuine feedback Once again, i am very sad that you feel that you did not get good value or service from us, but I really dont know what more we could have done.

The communication from petair throughout the process was excellent, emails were responded to quickly and all questions no matter how trivial were answered. The service upon collection and communication when in petair care was excellent. Thomes made it to australia safely despite our concerns about him being such an anxious cat, it took a couple of days for him to settle but he's been totally fine and not traumatised by his journey at all. Without petair we wouldn't have been brave enough to ship him.

I moved from London to Hong Kong. After a friend recommendation, I decided to use their service. And because it was a really busy month before I moved so it would be such a mess if I handle moving my cats myself. And I am lucky that I asked them for help because they safely sent my cats to Hong Kong and they were really helpful assisting me and my cats as much as possible. I would recommend them to anyone who needs or want to move their pets.

I received a very professional service from start to finish when relocating my dog from the UK to Dubai. I was advise on the steps and process at the beginning and kept informed throughout the whole shipment. I would recommend using Petair and would not hesitate to utilise their services again in the future.

Both Joanne and Victoria were very helpful and kept me informed all the way through the process. Even when I called once in tears and panicking they were great and very reassuring. The crate for Bonnie was very well made, Strong and secure. And all of the paper work and maps included made picking Bonnie up in Atlanta a much less stressful process than I imagined. Would definitely use PetAir again and would most certainly recommend them.
