“Easy ordering, good choice of products and brands, good prices and promotions”

“Quite fast delivery, always a personal note, from the Pediwear team. The quality of this Cheaney Chelsea boot is great in the way that it is much more comfortable to me than any of my Crockett & Jones shoes. The C&J lasts tend to be way too long, you get an unwelcome 1.5 cm of extra length on a shoe size 8.5 which can lead to nasty situations when descending for example a staircase of a plane. C&J shoes on Dainite are also way too stiff. They never losen up. The only negative point about this pair of Cheaney's is that a small dark spot in the leather, which I took for a natural discolouring at first, a few days later when sitting in the sun, turned out to be a crack in the leather that must have been brushed intensively to make invisible temporarily by the shoemakers. That should be a no go and is not the way you should want to produce your shoes.”

Dear Customer Thank you for your review and for giving us four stars despite your concern. we are very sorry to hear you have encountered this issue with the shoes. It is not possible for us to comment with any confidence without having seen the issue in question. However, if there is a fault in the leather we would usually request a photograph and would then recommend they be returned assuming we concur with your observations. In respect of Cheaney - having visited the factory several times and seen the care and attention that goes into making their shoes, it is difficult to imagine them deliberately covering a significant leather defect. A manufacturer with Cheaney's reputation would not want shoes with leather cracks being covered up - they are only likely to be returned. Sizing is a difficult and complex issue as human feet can vary enormously from person to person. Where one person might find a shoe small for size, another and find it too large.
