“Really enjoyed my lesson - lots of tips you don't get from following recipes, where to buy all the ingredients, how to store them to reduce waste and ensure you always have what you need at hand. Incredibly tasty, surprisingly quick and of course, so much more healthy when you make it yourself!”

“The course was very professionally run, in a friendly manner, with lots of colourful ingredients, in a clean and well equipped kitchen. At the end, the dining table was laid out for us complete with wine. All we had to do was add the food we had cooked, which was delicious, and enjoy it. I would thoroughly recommend the course, which was both informative and fun.”

“What a great afternoon, Jirapan is an excellent chef and a calm friendly instructor, her knowledge and top tips were so helpful. We cooked amazing food, I chose a menu of items that I have problems with and the lessons we learnt were really good. We did far more than I thought we would and it really is a hands on course. I would recommend Paya Thai Cooking to anyone from a beginner to an expert just wanting to brush up on specific dishes, Jirapan is an excellent host and puts you straight at ease. The kitchen is lovely and the details and recipe information you get at the end of the day are excellent. I will definitely go back, I could not recommend Paya Thai strongly enough.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. She was very friendly and happy to talk and explain about all the ingredients and how they work together. We talked about the background of Thai cooking and eating customs which was interesting. I would happily do another lesson!”

“This was a birthday gift from my office colleagues and it was well worth it. I found the Thai cookery class fun and well organised, thoroughly enjoyed it. I have no hesitation in recommending this, in fact i'm considering attending another session.”

“What an excellent day! I cannot recommend this highly enough. The friendly, professional, practical advice and instructions were all delivered clearly and with a smile. I learned so much and produced a delicious meal. I can't wait (neither can my husband) to do this in my own kitchen. If you want to learn or improve your Thai cooking, in my opinion, you should to go visit Jirapan, what a great teacher. Many Thanks Sue”

“A lovely few hours. Really practical, informative and good fun. Jirapan is an excellent teacher - I can remember most of it - but we have the full recipes to take away just in case. All this ended in eating the food we had prepared, which was lovely, and a great reminder of our time in Thailand.”

“This is such a terrific way to spend an afternoon! As soon as we arrived we felt at ease, and Jirapan was fabulous, funny and very informative. We learned how to prepare and cook 3 gorgeous dishes from scratch, each of us having a role to play. We each had our own knife and chopping board, and contributed in all aspects of each dish. Jirapan explained what the ingredients were, and what part each flavour had to play in the dish, and we got to eat the food at the end! This experience was a gift for my birthday, and I would love to do it again! Thank you Jirapan!”

“Myself and the 13 ladies I was with (for a hen do) had a wonderful time cooking with Jirapan. Her approach is very relaxed, and yet informative...and a lot of fun! She unfortunately left some of the ingredients at home, but was incredibly apologetic and managed to get her husband to bring them to the house we were staying in. The group of us were more than happy sipping on prosecco and eating Thai prawn crackers whilst we waited though, so not a problem at all! Would highly recommend Jirapan, and have now done a smaller class with her (4 people) aswell as a larger class (14 people)...both of which were hugely successful.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed the recent cooking course. It was great only being 6 in a class as you got to know everyone quickly and felt as ease. Explanations were great and a good balance of demonstrations and being able to do things yourself. It was great to sit down and enjoy the meal together at the end. Learned a lot including the best way to chop and use ingredients and spices. I would highly recommend this class to anyone.”

“Terrific fun. Met some interesting people and learned much from them as well as our teacher. The great thing about the course was building my confidence in using ingredients I have never handled before. The take-away information was also extremely useful so I know what authentic ingredients to use, where to source them and what to do with them once I have them. Very much recommended.”

I would absolutely recommend the class to others looking to improve or learn Thai cooking skills or simply for a unique way to spend the afternoon!
