“A bit apprehensive given bought by my better half for Xmas, and cooking not my strongest forte BUT thought the class was amazing. Lots of fun in a small group and Jiripan was a great teacher and inspired me to actually try and cook a meal for the family 👍 A professional set up but a relaxed and informal style made it perfect with the added bonus that you have lunch with your great Thai food with a glass of wine at the end. What is not to like and highly recommend 😀”

“My second time at Paya Thai Cooking being taught by amazing Jirapan. She greets you with such a warm welcome and instantly makes you feel comfortable in her home. She is so knowledgeable. I have come away from both classes with such a big smile on my face. I’m not stopping at two. I intend to book another class and bring my partner next time. It makes for such a lovely day either by yourself or with friends/family”

“A lovely cookery course. We cooked Dim Sum, Penang chicken curry and pork ribs with honey and pineapple. All ingredients provided and excellent instruction. Above all it was fun and very relaxed. Really enjoyed sitting down together to eat at the end of the course. Absolutely delicious. All recipes provided at the end. I shall definitely be cookingThai at home. Thoroughly recommend this course”

“Excellent admin with plenty of helpful information being sent prior to the event. On arrival there was a warm greeting and once all had assembled the session began. Jirapan was very attentive and offered good explanations of the processes. It was relaxed but much was achieved. To my surprise, our cooking of the final dishes was successful - I realised I had made many errors over the years in my attempts to cook Thai food! I am much more confident now.”

“Another excellent cooking lesson with Paya Thai - my second. Once again the whole session was extremely well run and great fun. Jirapan is very professional and makes sure that everyone is fully engaged in the class, encouraging hands on participation and encouraging tasting at various stages throughout so you can tell how the flavour of the food changes with the addition of the ingredients. At the end of the session you eat what you have cooked with a nice glass of wine! Will definitely be going back for my third session at some point in the near future. Thank you Jirapan for an enjoyable and instructive afternoon.”

“My partner and I really enjoyed this experience. Both of us are relatively new to Thai cuisine and we felt like we learned a lot in the 3 hours that we had with Jirapan - she is very knowledgeable, kind and personable. She spent time encouraging us to taste test the ingredients throughout the process so we could appreciate the different flavours that make each dish special. In addition, she let us know what to look for when buying ingredients ourselves and where best to source them from. As for the food itself, everything was delicious. We experienced the street food A menu which we chose for the noodle dish, however our favourite was the beef stir fry which was incredible. After making the tasty dishes we sat down as a group to dine for lunch enjoying our efforts with a glass of wine. All leftovers were packaged up and taken home for lunch the next day. The house was beautifully presented and clean throughout. We would recommend this experience to anyone looking to broaden their knowledge of Thai cuisine.”

“My husband and I spent a fabulous morning learning Thai cooking the Thai way. I shall now be making my own Spring Rolls. Spicy Beef Salad and Drunken Noodles. The preparation was so well explained.... and we really were “ hands on “. The best part was of course eating what we had cooked !!!!!”

“This experience was a lovely way to spend a morning, I had always wanted to try my hand at Thai cooking but did not have the confidence to try. Jirapan put me at ease from the start, we were 6 in all total strangers but bonded immediately over a love of good food. We smelt, handled and learnt about the different ingredients before cooking began. This was done is easy step by step stages in which we all took part. Once the cooking was done we all lunched on our mornings work and it was delicious. I will be going again to learn some different recipes. We all came away with smiles on our faces and clutching our recipes to follow at home. I also brought a knife and a great gadget for use with cucumber! Thank you Jirapan for an amazing experience.”

“My husband and I attended a Paya Thai cookery class today and had a wonderful time. The class was really enjoyable and very well paced. We didn’t feel rushed and everything was explained so clearly - not just what to do, but also why. And great information about the ingredients and where to buy them. We learned how to make Penang curry, dim sum and pork ribs with honey and pineapple. And when we were done we sat down to eat our creations with our classmates. Everything was delicious and it was a lovely atmosphere. Now we are really looking forward to recreating them in our own home. I’m already thinking of booking another class to learn more dishes.”
