“I think the service is great, very easy, very efficient and food value. However, I have always thought how much easier it would be if there was an option to “snap” the manually drawn lines to lines on the map. I always select the manual draw option and the think red or blue lines I place as close as I can, but then when I look at the downloaded pdf, in which the red or blue lines are thinner, I often find a huge (depending on scale) gap between my manual lines and actual lines on the plan. I’ve even ended up then having to repair these in photoshop, which just seems wasteful on time. Please think about a “snap to point” option!”

“I found it very confusing as a first time user. It was awkward to use. I had difficulty with putting in the co-ordinates. I went to Google maps and got the longitude and latitude but obviously these were rejected. Frustrating. Why couldn’t I just have a map that I could zoom in on and identify the area of interest with having to find out what the eastings and northings are? Then when drawing the envelope around the plot I wasn’t able to tweak it to make the outline more accurate. I opted for the colour version as I thought it meant my plot outline would show in red. I didn’t realise the rest of it would be blocked out in solid colour, heavy on printer ink. By this time there was no option to choose the non-colour option. The colour version printed out in black & white was too feint to be usable. Why not automatically provide both colour and non colour maps? Obviously if I needed to use this site again it would be easier but I can only review my actual experience. Conclusion: Not user friendly. Not intuitive. Will try OS next time.”

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We cannot allow free roaming around OS MasterMap as it is not allowed by the OS. The preview expenses would be very high. Also, all our plans come with a license to use so each copy has its own. You would need to get a license for each plan even if they are the same but in a different colour. There is the option to preview your map twice before purchasing in order to make sure you are getting the plan that you need. Regarding the first step which is searching for the area that you need you can also use a Postcode or latitude & longitude. “The pdf was lacking in detail, the outlines in 90% were faint, there was no way I could trace over the outlines, this file was imported on to my drawing, to be fair you did replace it with a different file which worked, unfortunately I can only give one star”

“I had to purchase a plan to provide my local council with the position of my house as they informed me it couldn't be called The Coach House, my plan has this information printed on it!! But still I have had to change the name, so in my eyes the plan is wrong. Hence only 4 stars.”

Dear Leanne, the plan automatically puts the address that you have selected as the title of your plan, but you have the option to change that before purchasing and add what you want as the title on the 3rd step before purchasing.
