“I needed planning drawings for a couple of garages for a sports club and didn't want to hire a professional just to produce a planning drawing for 2 garages. This system worked fine - not that I've got the planning permission yet!”

“Complete rip off. Only bought it because the local council insist on it for planning applications, makes me wonder how much commission the planning portal is getting. It's not even an accurate plan.”

Thank you for your review and I am sorry you have a negative experience on our site. It is impossible for a boundary to be set for a map without the customer having selected the boundary with the red line. If a customer inadvertently adds incorrect boundaries to their map and receives an incorrect area we are pleased to offer a 70% refund so that they may re order a correct selection. If the underlying Ordinance Survey map is incorrect we are happy to provide a full refund. The majority of our customers are satisfied with our service and it is a rare occurrence for a map to be incorrect. I trust you will have a more positive experience if you use our service again.

“Reasonably easy to locate the plot you are interested in. Fair price. Good starting point for the answers I am looking for regarding a boundary and plot size. Will use this service again. I did not have to contact the company, thought the question below refered to my actual purchase. Can not delete the box I ticked.”

“Ok Frustrating tgat i cant just buy a plan at a scale i choose. Scottish planning stipulates 50:1 or 100:1 for site plans, but you dont sell those scales. Bought map electronically, why would you do anything else these days?”

“For regular or people whose job involves property development it maynot be necessary to use BuyAPlan. But it is essential for occasional or one off Users,people like me who are putting in a garden Shed Who need Planning Permission and have no idea how its done.”

“It does not show you the plan you have outlined before purchasing. As a result the plan I have got is half of what I thought I was buying. Asked for a refund and no reply. Other online plan service has this service. Very disappointed and will not use this company again. I have complained directly and gave option but seem to be happy with me leaving a bad review than resolving the issue! Poor business decision!!”

When you contacted our site for support we responded twice, the first time at 2.30pm on August 17th, the second on 12.48am on the 18th. On both occasions we can see that the email was read and so I am sorry that you chose not to follow up the customer support you were being offered.

“Whilst the technology to receive the plan was passable, the price is a ripoff, and the plan was inaccurate, transposing the names of adjacent properties. This service should be provided by OS at a fair price, and should be accurate. The insistence of the planning portal that this service be used amounts to collusion between two business entities, especially the requirement to pay for two versions (block plan and site plan) when I only wishes to replace windows.”

Thank you for your review and I am sorry you had a negative experience on our site. If the underlying mapping - as provided by the OS - is checked and found to be incorrect (which you suggest when mentioning property names have been transposed) we are happy to provide a 100% refund. Please could you complete the support form on the site giving full details so that we can check but please bear in mind that it is highly unusual for OS maps to be inaccurate.

“I recently purchased a plan of a house in Toys Hill, Brasted, Kent, TN86NP but I did not have the opportunity to download. After several attempts of contacting you I eventually got a response asking for the original order number which I did not have but I did have have the invoice number at the time which I emailed to you but no further contact. I have now reordered and completed the transaction and downloaded the plan I wanted, so I paid twice!!”

Thank you for your review and we are sorry to hear you have had these issues. A download link is sent immediately after order. We responded to your first email 3 minutes after it was sent on July 29th at 1.03pm requesting details of the order so that your order could be re sent. You did not reply. If you had responded to that email you would not have needed to order twice. Now that you have done so we are happy to refund you - please use the support form on the site to request the refund.

“This was expensive and you delivered a flawed plan. I selected a red outline and clicked in the garden area of a property to highlight the boundary of the whole property. The red outline was omitted where the wall of the house and the boundary coincided. That meant my planning application was rejected by the council planning dept. You plans are touted as ideal for the purpose of planning applications, yet it can deliver a plan that does not comply with the relevant legislation. That is unacceptable and that unacceptability is made worse by the high cost.”
