“We were asked to provide a 1:1250 for a pre planning application. We had no idea of where we could find such a thing. I googled "how can I get a scale plan of a property. The site came up, clearly stating it's purpose. I am not very good with I,T but found this site very user friendly. It gave clear instructions of the process and also gave a video to watch. I selected the scale map I requested, viewed it to make sure it was right, then paid. The map was supplied in a PDF file that I could then print for myself and also attach to my planning application.”

“I wanted a plan that showed location of our house alongside immediate neighbours in a simple format that could be accessed in pdf form and sent attached to email. I thought that buy a plan was reasonably priced and also provided the map immediately.”

Dear Moira, all OS map providers have a 1 year expiry license and then you can purchase additional license years separately if you need to. It is standard with OS mapping. “BuyAPlan has a very good service for buying plans in a straightforward process, with clear instructions and costs. I'd prefer the option to select a scale in between the defaults, though this doesn't detract from the speed of delivery and the convenience of the service.”

“The website is quick and easy to use, the downloaded plan is of no use whatsoever; just appears as a square despite clicking A4 size, no scale bar so can't check it's printed to scale, so £13+ wasted. Had to click 1 star as couldn't give anything less!!”

Hi Andy, we are sorry to hear your experience was not what you expected. Please note that all of our plans have a scale bar at the bottom left of the map. The plan should cover an entire sheet of A4 if printed at 100% size. The map portion however is only a portion of this otherwise the scale would not be correct. “For someone that is not very computer savvy plus a little practice I was able to achieve printing out the plans I required. Very much a bit of trial and error for an 80year old. Certainly up market from requesting OS maps.”
