“I bought the Trixie Elegant Statement Earrings (Wooden) and they are gorgeous! The resin part is a lot more matte than the pictures suggest, but this is easily solved by applying varnish as suggested above. Looking forward to buying from Paguro again.”

Hi Nicola, I'm sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the earrings. In respect of the hooks, we try to use sterling silver as we find customers tend to prefer it but it is softer than stainless steel and, as you have experienced, can lose its shape. We would happy to replace the hooks for stainless steel if you would like or we could send you the hooks to replace yourself, if you would be comfortable doing so. Regarding the finish, we do polish the resin lightly but it can fade after use. You can buff it up again with a polish or even olive oil and it should be shiny. We will include that in the description going forward that might be useful for other customers.
