“I liked the experience that my daughterhad last two summers, however we were not pleased with communication came from the medicines program coordinator As they ignored our request of moving our daughter to an area with her friends, plus she was given a very small room and we paid same amount of charges other people did. And cam to our attention some girls got single rooms even did not pay for it because of the shortage of room, and I think that wasnot fair Other wise i like to thank the ladies worked on her registration and helped her to enjoy her time there and learn what she needed”

“the education was very good and interesting but the accomodation was horrible. 8 persons for 1 shower and 5 persons for 1 toilet is not acceptable”

“My daughter attended a 15 day program of Business, Enterpreneurhip and Innovation in Oxford. Academically it was a good experience and the social part was great meeting new friends from all over the world. However what somehow ruined my daughters stay was a 1st degree burn injury in her room in St Hughs campus, Oxford, as the heating units were not correctly regulated. She was taken to hospital. What was disappointing was the organizational part of the school as they didn't inform us about our daughters injury, nor her visit to the hospital or the outcome of the medical examination, although she is a minor(14yrs old). So this is our only negative comment, the lack of organization, safety measures and of a timely feedback. However the school apologized and promised the safety of all kids would be their first duty.”

“First of all there were many activities which due to the rain were cancelled . I would expect that you must have alternative plans given that the rain is something quite common and the fees were including them. . This is the most important complaint. Furthermore , although less important the quality of the food was rather below average.”

“This year it was quite disorganised and we weren't allowed to leave campus for some reason. The staff were really nice though. The activities could've been better and the food was really bad. On the first day I expected there would be at least some icebreakers and getting with classmates so we could get acquainted but there was none of that and instead it was really messy. Curfew is quite early too in my opinion. The programme is quite weak with the whole exhibition thing and on Sunday there's really nothing to do since there's no excursion or anything so we could've had something else replacing it. The teachers were great though and were very engaging.”

Students attending programmes at all our locations, apart from Yale, are able to leave campus during their designated free time. In order to comply with local state policies, students studying at our Yale campus, however, are only permitted to leave campus with a member of staff. This policy is made clear when students book, however, we are sorry to hear that you were left disappointed. “The course was good, though also a bit stressful sometimes. I wish we had more chances to get to know the other people (many came with their friend groups and so they did not really bother to make other friends). And also sometimes you don’t even know how to approach people. I also wished we had more chances for activities as some (like watching football) were not really useful. I wish there were more activities to explore the city.”

“The course was interesting and I learned a lot thanks to it. I met very nice people but the assistants did not ever seem to know the schedule and times at which we had to meet all together. I was very disappointed by the lack of activities. We were lied to, promised to visit museums and do lots of sports. Also the food was very poor and it would have suited everyone better with international food. Lastly, there was too much free time in the city which gave us too much freedom and not enough of security. It was disappointing for such a prestigious university to provide summer camps that use a change.”

“In my opinion the whole experience was not worth the money. The food was miserable and me and my friends and ended up paying for two meals, the accommodations could be better and the organization of the classes should have been better for sure.”

“Overall a very well know camp, met many amazing people and had a good time. I felt that some aspects of the camp was not worth what its expensive price. For example, the first week of classrooms was basically a small bedroom with some tables in it. Regardless, had a good time but ORA could do with many improvements.”

“It was my second time at ORA and I must admit that everything changes depending on the campus. The food at LMH is way better (ESPECIALLY THE BREAKFAST) than at Jowett but the counsellors are always friendly and helpful and the people nice. The course was interesting, I learned a lot as usual.”
