“Amazing staff, amazing people, amazing program! The only down side is not being able to use the kitchen. 16 year olds are mature enough to cook simple things without making a fire. In my boarding school, they even let 12 year olds cook”

“These two weeks were a fantastic experience. Meeting new people from all over the world made me more open-minded and gave birth to amazing frendships. Nevertheless, I would have liked to practice more BMAT and UKCAT papers as part of the medical preparation.”

“I really liked how everyone on the campus were all so close, and the classes were pretty interesting. I also liked how we get to eat breakfast with the people on our floor, because you also get to know more people and make more friends, not only with people in your class.”

“the classes were very good but I feel like the extra activities should have been planned better people should have been able to sign up to activities a few days before they were suposed to happen”

Hi Pierre, Thank you for the good rating and for the considered feedback. Signups for our afternoon activities are generally open from a couple of days before the time in question, to give students the chance to decide what they would like to do either in advance, or on the morning of the activity. However if you felt that this needed to be a longer window, we'll look into that ahead of Summer 2017, to ensure the smoothest possible procedure for the activities. Thanks for letting us know! “I would say the accomodation cleaness can be improved. The teachers are very good and high quality. The activities arrangement is not bad. The things being taught is little bit too simple. Overall it's a lovely experience.”

“ORA was one of the most amazing learning experiences in my life. I'm glad, that I've chosen this course. I've met a lot of people and learnt a lot. Oxford is a wonderful city with an amazing atmosphere. Medical Preparation Course was well-prepared, the teacher was well educated and informed about everything properly. Even though we had to learn, it didn't take our own free time. Most of the people didn't like the food at the campus, and unfortunately, I was often one of them - food for vegetarians wasn't really great, and one option of the meal is not enough, especially, if someone doesn't like lentil or chilli :) I also think, that night registration shouldn't be at 22:30, because some students would like to go to bed earlier. Any parties or ceremonies were great prepared and organised. The big disadvantage of going anywhere was, that people are irresponsible, and it took us 30 mins more to gather everyone, what cut our free time in London. Stuff should do something to solve this issues. I loved the counsellors - they were kind and talkative, it was fun to spend time with them, they were friendly to answer any of your questions. I've come back home with much more knowledge than I've ever had and prepared for a hard work, that is waiting for me. I would honestly recommend this course for anyone :)”

We use the kitchen facilities and staff of actual Oxford University colleges during the summer - so the food you had is the same enjoyed by actual students during term time. However, if it wasn't varied enough that is something we will examine ahead of next year's courses, so thank you for letting us know. Similarly, your feedback about evening registration will be noted - we want to make sure that students can make the most of each evening, but if some people want to go to sleep earlier we'll be sure to try to accommodate that as well! “ORA has been a great experience to take part in. It balanced fu and educative but there was too much cultural. On the week-end the excursions should be more leisurely since we do a lot of work in the week. It could range from a shopping trip to an amusement park or very simply pool trip.”

“I'd say that the medical school preparation course was excellent. Although I wouldn't be applying to university till 2 years later, I find that this course helped me narrow down my choices on various things. All in all, I enjoyed it thoroughly.”

“ORA was a very challenging but fun way to spend the summer. I learnt many things that will help me in the future, and things I won't learn at my own school! It was also an amazing way to make new friends from all around the world and learn about the different cultures. This has been one of my favorite summers because of this program!”
