“After going to Clare College in Cambridge as an ORA Exploring Engineering and Technology student, I must admit that I was impressed. The councillors and deans were friendly, yet professional, and of course always helpful. The course itself was outstanding. Our teacher was great and the lessons were educational and exciting. During the 2 week period, we had a lot of freedom and were allowed to visit the town (after our lessons) in small groups after the first few days (as long as we signed out and were back at the college by 6 PM. The optional and compulsory activities organised by the camp were fun and they allowed the students to make new friends. Our safety was clearly the staffs number one priority and they always checked up on us to make sure that we were ok. The food was not the best, but we were allowed to buy food from the town and bring it to our dorms to snack on. It was overall a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in going to an educational summer camp!”

“Oxford Royale Academy gave me an insight into a university course I was very interested in and helped me decide I wanted to do that for sure. Apart from the great academic courses the activities were extremely enjoyable and unforgettable. I made friends for life and I really recommend ORA to everyone who wants to have a great time and have an insight into what university is like.”

“My point of view for the ORA course is that i am very great full that my parents agreed for me to attend to this amazing 2 weeks course. Everything about it was awesome because of the people, activities etc.. I met a lot of people that will stay for a life time. If I had the chance I would do it again. “One of the best experiences in my entire life. I had a great time I met new friends and I am still in contact with them I viewed London and other parts of England and most importantly I improved my English and my accent. Finally, it was really nice to meet people from all around the world and learning about their culture and the courses were super helpful and I became more open minded by attending them”

“Friends, fun, counselors, it was a full on blast, best time of my life, but for the education part, it was kind of lacking, I took the Technology course, and didn’t do anything with technology whatsoever, we used cardboard instead? But other than that, it was amazing!”

“I had such an amazing time at ORA! It made me a more confident person and was an amazing opportunity to meet lots of people from all across the world! The support from counsellors was great and i felt comfortable talking to them, they were so friendly and welcoming. I studied forensic science and experimental psychology. I am currently studying psychology for my A-Levels at school and wanted to broaden my knowledge as this what i wish to do at university. I have always been interested in forensic science as it’s something you don’t always learn, when i saw the option to take this as a part of my course i jumped on the opportunity so i could gain more of an understanding on the subject. The lessons were very inclusive and in depth allowing me to learn so many new things during my two week stay at Oxford University! I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone who has the opportunity to do it, i will remember it forever and keep in contact with all of the friends i made there! Rebecca Griffiths”

“Having the opportunity to attend Oxford Royal Academy is beyond imaginable. The summer program included many activities such as football matches, treasure hunts, tennis, basketball and many other activities you may think of. This allowed us to connect with the people we call friends today. Additionally, Oxford Royal Academy has a wide range of subjects you could choose to expand your knowledge on like ( business, economics, medicine, new perspectives) etc, as this could help you explore how passionate you can be about that specific subject. Conclusively, my stay at Oxford royal academy allowed me to understand not only what subject I enjoy learning but also the meaning of friendship and meeting new people from around the world.”
